'LILAC' Is a full length reverse harem romance book by B.B. Reid.. I wasn't too sure what to expect going into this as its the first time this author has ventured into the reverse harem world, so on tippy toes in I went, but when it comes to this author I will read it. Until I looked at the sheer size of the pages and I literally *gulped* Meet the gorgeous men which make up the band 'BOUND' Loren (fun loving and sweet), Jericho (the one you could lean on) & Houston (broody and controlling) and our feisty sassy heroine Braxton, who you will absolutely adore. The hunt had been on for a new band member to join the ranks, with a name of Braxton imagine these boys surprise when a girl walks in claiming her place in the band as their newly appointed guitarist. Weeks and many gruelling hours these boys put her through the paces, none too happy that she's joined their band, they were literally A-holes towards her as they made her jump through many hoops preparing her for the tour of a life time. Lines become blurred, many limbs and arms become entangled, hearts and souls are on the line. Twists and turns which left me gasping. Lay your inhibitions as the door as they travel on tour, it's panty wetting, it's sizzling pages, and combusting ovaries as this author set up the perfect love fest. This was a tad too slow moving for me, especially in the beginning, as I found myself getting distracted a few times too many, though it does start to slowly pick up as you near the half way mark. I personally don't think it needed to be as long as it was, but that's just my opinion.

I've started this book with an idea of how I thought that things could happen, and it did follow that path, untill around 35/40% of the book. I've been struggling to write a review in the past couple of days, because I've felt so many different things while I was reading, that I couldn't pinpoint a way to start it. Braxton is as complex as the boys are simple actually... With the boys, you have them figured out from the start... Houston is the grumpy bossy leader of their band, and you can see along the book, that he's also the glue that keep everything and everyone together... No matter what. Loren is the vain spoiled rebel. He's reckless and impulsive, always trying to get a raise from everyone. Jericho is the sensible emo follower. He's always accepting everything, good or bad, in the hopes of keep his best friends together. I hated all of them at some point, I'm not kidding... This book is thick, so they have had plenty of time to piss me of... but oh my God... How I loved their evolution! Each. One. Of. Them. Braxton was the hot mess that turned everything in their life upside down! I loved her more than anything else in this book. She was always different, and had to become a fighter from a very young age, just because she was probably in the wrong family, and with so many peculiarities, that a closed minded person, could not accept or fully understand her. Her emotions, the way she felt everything around her, the way she was treated by her family in past, the slut shaming... All her trust issues and their secrets, made her fight against her feelings, even when her body were already theirs. I have to mention the sex! The sex in this book is AMAZING! Their chemistry, together or apart, is out of the charts, and I'm completely obsessed with the attraction between Loren and Jericho! I Loved that they're a thing even before Brax show up in their life! I feel like this is more equal or natural in a reverse harem, other than all of the boys being full alpha and straight. I could give 10 stars just for that! This book is an emotional and really long journey... But although I've felt like not everything was helpful to the story, I really loved the plot, their journey and how every thing closed together. I do recommend this book, but keep in mind that it is a long journey to their HEA. ARC Reviewer

It isn’t my jam. I need a couple to end up together even if there are others along the way, but when one of your faves writes an RH NOVEL, you follow. Let me tell you, I would have missed out on a spectacular story. Each one of these characters has something special. Houston with his stolid and unwavering leadership and authority, Loren with his charisma and playboy recklessness, and Jericho with his kindness and intensity force you to love them. You become fully immersed in these men. You feel the draw to each of them for different reasons, which makes you able to truly understand why Braxton is drawn to them all. I also kind of get the appeal of an RH book. There is a sexual freedom and liberation in these novels. You can live your wildest fantasies, and one women is the center of attention, devotion, and gratification. It is alluring and enthralling. That is also why I loved Braxton from page one. This heroine has gumption. She pushes and shoves back with this boys. She demands equality from them and doesn’t acquiesce when times get rough. She is fierce enough to handle 3 flawed and broken rockstars, and I loved every part of her. I think what really made Lilac a must read for me, and what makes it more than an RH novel delving into feminine fantasies, is the driving idea behind the story. These characters who once loved each other have been broken, and this journey of healing and redemption and love is wrought with trials and tribulations. Through it all, though, BB Reid exemplifies that real love will shatter and break but it will heal, even when the cracks remain. That is love. It is forgiving and demanding, it is consuming and liberating. The themes and topics that center around love and acceptance moved me. It resonated with my own heart and ideas about love. More than anything I loved the unconventional nature of these four, and the fact that they have zero cares for anyone else’s opinion. They seek happiness and love no matter the consequences or judgments they receive, and that is something that many readers will connect with. Lilac was so much more than I ever expected. Since it is a true Reverse Harem, I had some assumptions, but I never expected the heart and depth that accompanied the heat factor of Lilac. It tore at my heart, it made me remember the perseverance and healing power of real love, and it epitomizes that it comes in all shapes and sizes. Happiness in life, living with love in your heart is all that matters. ARC review

With three smoking hot rock gods standing in her way, she has the odds stacked against her! Houston Morrow, Loren James, and Jericho Noble think they have everything figure out but falling for the girl that they were trying to get rid of wasn't in their plans. "Together they formed a pyramid." Told in multiple POV, Lilac is a true contemporary romance with the intricacies of a complex quartet. The book was long and yet, I feel that the story called for depth and the devil is in the details with this read. The story is sweet and yet the four together have a passion that does not stop! "Braxton looked like an angel, but she played like a demon." Overall, I can't say I am a huge fan of RH books but I can say that B.B. Reid certainly kept me entertained the entire read. This was my first read by this author (I know right?!?!?) and I look forward to exploring more of her work! For more reviews/reveals/giveaways visit:

4.5 Stars for Braxton Fawn and her harem of rock stars! My Book Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/bookxfever/... My Book Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/bookxfever/... Omg this book was so different from BB's Fear Me series (which is probably one of the first series I read in the bully genre which got me hooked to that trope). Braxton was invited to join the band Bound to replace their guitarist who died of an overdose. Not only did she have to prove herself to the band musically that she could keep up with their iconic status, but also shine as her own person. Boy did Braxton knock them out of the park! 🔥 She was fire where Houston the lead vocalist was ice, she was strong where Loren the bassist was trying to tear her walls (and panties) down and she was patient where Jericho the drummer was kind but broken from past experiences. Each of the characters had so much development throughout the book, the 500+ pages flew by because each chapter brought forth a new perspective and thoughts. I love multiple POVs as it really allows the reader to fully immerse themselves into the character's psyche. This book was more than about a girl with multiple love interests. The core theme of this book was about a friendship on the verge of a breakdown held only together by years of loyalty and devotion, but the pain overrode their bond until Brax came. She would either make or break them and watching them all navigate through their feelings for her and each dealing with their own reasoning for trying to stay away from her made for a very angsty read. I loved Houston's entire persona, yes he was the aggressive alpha who constantly made decisions and controlled his members carefully, but this was his way of protecting those he loved. He would rather shoulder the hate for making hard decisions then let them self-destruct. He was the perfect accompaniment to Brax's fierce, take no shit personality. Loren was our flirty playboy, who masked his loneliness under the facade of a ladies' man. He flirted his way out of every fuck up he made with Braxton, but she didn't truly let him in until he became more vulnerable with her so we could see the man who was abandoned by his family, a man who was always used as a pawn by others except for his best friends. Jericho was the enigma of the group, hiding a secret that he knows he should've come clean about, but still keeping it in to allow himself the selfish moment of being wanted. He too has complicated feelings that extend to not just one person, and watching him grow and become more confident in himself was perfect. I loved how the harem isn't just about romantic love, it's about the love of friendship and being a family/unbreakable unit. From watching them fight their feelings to the end, BB really took her time to ensure we got to know each character so none of them felt like they were just there for decoration. If you're a fan of rockstar/music theme, an enemies-lovers vibe, and reverse harem, then this book is a perfect read to end the year with. 💜

Each of them brought a unique experience and perspective to the story. I loved getting to know them separately and together. There was so much to this novel. So many experiences, feels, sights, and sounds! The author does an amazing job pulling you into the action of the scenes and honestly I got swept up and didn't want to leave. Brooding Houston Marrow, Sassy Medallion wearing Loren James and Jericho "Rich" Noble. "They moved in perfect symmetry Towering, Impenetrable and utterly beautiful." They're in need of a new member to fill one of the vacated post and in walks Braxton Fawn. Supremely talented vocalist, guitarist and a GIRL!! 😲 the band and the manager are caught unawares and their jaws hang open and pants get tighter..esp the crotch areas cause she's drop dead sexy too🤪 "Bound’s first impression of me hadn’t been exactly accurate. They’d been too quick to judge me by my cover while ignoring the pages inside." then comes the gauntlet they make her walk through everyday to prove herself. Their close proximity on the bus, tours, concerts nonstop gets them exposing too much to each other than they'd wanted to begin with. This breeds envy, sometimes resentment, jealousy, and of course Breathless passions. Then comes THE SCENE. I've always shied away from RH, Gang-Bang books cause I think it's too much like watching octupsuses (octopii..🤔) mate. Too many arms..too many legs.. Sometimes authors forget which hand to put where and which mouth sucks where. NOT BB, it's like it was perfectly choreographed symphony of passions. I was there watching them like a voyeur. Super hot book, with lots and lots of feels. broken, twisted characters, they have truckloads of skeletons that tumble out and hearts melt and infuse till it becomes difficult to see, where one begins and where the other ends. They truely are BOUND to each other. It's also full of unpredictable secrets and twists, some I did not see coming. The end was befitting enough, even though improbable, but it's in perfect sync with the story Pick up this book for Moist eyes and Moister panties😜 4 stars for Love that smells like Lilac Follow me on: Email🌻 Bookbub 🌻 Twitter🌻 Instagram🌻 Blog🌻 Facebook🌻 Amazon 🌻

My anticipation for this book had been relentless ever since. Once the blurb was released I realized there wasn’t one, nor two but three heroes. BB had yet to write a reverse-harem and my excitement peaked for what was to come. Starting Lilac I was really curious about the type of dynamic the characters were going to have towards one another. I haven't read many reverse-harems but I know authors all have their own unique way of taking on this trope so I was very intrigued to see BB’s approach. Braxton, Houston, Rich, and Loren all had their own point-of-view which I was so grateful for because it helped grow their individuality as characters. It felt as though they were all equals throughout the entirety of the book. The chemistry they had with one another was incomparable. I fell in love with each of them separately but them together was purely magical. Throughout the book, we slowly got a better understanding of who they were as characters and the reasoning behind their actions. We were spectators to their qualities, as well as their flaws, as a band, as friends, and as lovers. My attachment for them simply grew stronger and stronger as all the ups and downs of the novel unfolded. As the backstory focused on their band life, the tour was something I truly enjoyed reading. Each stop was unlike the previous and the songs written had me in awe. I could only wish they were real to be able to listen to them myself. On top of it all, I was so grateful for the abundance of LGBTQ+ representation in this book. I feel as though it's so rare for the men in a reverse-harem to also get together and I loved that BB chose to take this route. As a resident bisexual, I’m claiming them all as bisexuals too. Haha jk… unless? As intimidating as the size of Lilac was, after finishing it I wish it was even longer. I’m going to miss these characters so much as they started to feel like family to me. I will pray and beg for BB to give us more of them in the future because as perfect as that epilogue was, I'm simply not ready to say goodbye.

Bissexual. Polyamory Safety: not safe and that’s the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars - They are not all disgusting whores, they have sex but one has been celibate for a long time (Rich) and the other doesn’t talk much about his past (Houston) - Safe sex: used condoms until they got tested and shared their negative results - They have never shared before - Heroine and two heroes are only with each other after meeting but one asshole fucked a four other women. One when heroine was at the same but and three at one night - She is sexually experienced but has been celibate for six years and I hate it. She was pretty fast in kicking her issues to the curb to fuck them so why couldn’t have she done that before with other guys? *I’m tired of authors always trying to justify heroines being celibate, whenever heroes are abused or have a trauma when it comes to sex ow mommy/daddy issues they become manwhores but women rarely does the same.* - There are thee heroes and one of them, the one the heroine was closer to be intimate with at the time, they even had a date but she refused to have sex with him fuck one groupie at the bus knowing she was there and could listen to “push her away” when he was so drunk he couldn’t remember it properly the next day. But he could get hard knowing he was hurting her and drunk as fuck? Fuck you motherfucker. (Loren was the hero who did that shit). Heroine is hurt by it she even cried * I hate when heroes do that shit, it was irredeemable author so congrats he wanted to push her away and he did so in such a master way that I would leave any possibility to ever be with him for good. But this is a reverse harem book so if she fuck other guy of guys and he somehow witnessed it and she enjoyed the sex I would have still tolerate. In this case I can’t. It taint the book for me. - Loren also has a orgy with the women after the heroine and another hero fucked. This is not ideal but I would have still give it five stars if he hadn’t fucked the groupie before that because they hadn’t make any deals yet and they were still jealous of each other and who would be with her. * See? He dealt with her fucking someone other than him by fucking others. Why couldn’t she do the same? Fucking her bandmates doesn’t count because she did it because she lusted them not to get over Loren If heroine decided to be vindictive and took another guy to their bus or just fuck someone where Loren could hear in an attempt to forget how confused and hurt she was I would give this 4 stars. I know it would have hurt the others but they lied to her so a little hurt would do them some good. Also, Rich was very nice but he was lying and Houston was an asshole to her so he deserved the hurt. Loren deserved to know she was with another guy outside the band preferably by witnessing it. I would not be able to forget Loren with another woman without revenge because he was so fucking callous. I would throw his words at his face. “Turn over for me, baby. We don’t care about her, do we?” Ow sex scene that heroine listened to “As I used my towel to wrap my hair so it would dry quicker, the giggling finally stopped, and I began to hear moans coming through the door. You don’t hear it. The feminine moans only grew louder and more desperate as I pulled my cheeky underwear up my legs (...) By then, Loren’s groupie was coming and announcing it to anyone within hearing distance as if she were going for an Oscar. (...) The bed inside was rocking now, and I heard the telltale sound of skin slapping. Listening to Loren and his groupie screw tasted like a glass of sour milk and smelled suspiciously bitter—like jealousy.” - At least he was the last one she fucked and only when they have already agreed to share her. Over two months he fucked the groupie. Still not good enough

But what swayed me towards reading Lilac was the heart and soul I knew Reid would most definitely incorporate into her story. And what an outstanding story she wrote! The minute I started, I could not stop reading. Braxton was everything. She might be my favorite character from this love story. She was strong and assertive and held her own with Houston, Loren and Jericho. And the men themselves were on another level!! I loved the distinct personalities and how each stood out on their own where it was impossible to pick a favorite. I loved this story so much and can't wait for more! 5 stars! ~Ratula ❤

4 Steamy Stars This was a doozy of a book. I had a suspicion going in but boy was it so much more than I realized. Houston Morrow....the controlling, broody leader Loren James.....the fun loving, charismatic bassist Jericho Noble.....the sweet, kind drummer And..... Braxton Fawn......the sexy, feisty, broken new girl guitarist. The dynamics and chemistry between the 3 men and each man with Braxton was explosive and sizzling. The men were best friends who were struggling to remain friends because of past band issues and their internal demons. Braxton, with her own demons, was thrown into this group and she never had a chance. Her chemistry to each man was different and unique but she had a connection and a desire for all three and all three had a desire and want for her. The hostility, sarcasm, passion, need, friendship, and excellent banter of the story made for steamy read. And there were secrets and lies that added angst and a stubbornness that was high throughout the entire story. I want to add that this book was very long. There were some parts that I felt were just filler but the bones of the story were great and I really enjoyed the slow burn of the story. I did have some issues towards the end when things became over dramatic and I felt they didn’t really enhance the story. But overall, I really enjoyed this story and loved that the ending was perfectly BOUND together. *advanced copy provided by Valentine PR in exchange for and honest review*

BB Reid really delivered with her very first Reverse Harem and honestly my most anticipated book of the year. This Rock Star Romance follows Braxton a talented guitarist who lands the best gig, lead guitarist for the biggest Rock band at the time. Houston, Loren, and Rich are all amazing characters with plenty of flaws that made them each seem completely believable. Their relationship together is not immediate and starts off more hate to love than love at first sight. Their relationship together is not immediate and starts off more hate to love than love at first sight. These characters deal with many issues but surprisingly drinking and drugs don’t make up a lot of this story which I was extremely grateful. One of the best things about this book is that even though it’s a stand-alone novel the relationship build-up is slow, and you can see it really developing. This is one of the best parts of the RH genre for me and I’m so excited that this novel delivered. I know some may think that it was “too slow” but for me this is exactly my type of RH. This book starts off more focused on the music and them working together and tapers off as the book goes on to focus on their relationship. I think it would have been nice to keep up with seeing them on stage more, but I suppose I can’t have everything. The sense of building a relationship between all the characters together was so great to see. Especially how the guys friendship could be mended after everything they’ve gone through. This book brought the steam and kept it coming. I was trying to enjoy the book slowly, but I just kept reading to find out what would happen next. Honestly this novel helped pick me out of my current book slump so that is a huge deal by itself. I highly recommend this book if you’re a fan of RH, Rockstar romances, and a really long standalone.

I’ve got to say, I’m not a huge RH fan. When my favorite author decides to write one, however, I read that ish anyways. Let me tell y’all I stayed up until 4am devouring this story and days later I’m still thinking about it. Houston, Loren, and Jericho are each a world unto their own. They are distinct and flawed and individuals but they’re at their best when with one another- even as they face obstacles. The sparks between them fly and each offers Braxton something unique to them. She is a great complement to the trio. The plot was excellently executed. Although this book is quite long, there are no scenes that didn’t seem important and/or useful to progressing the plot. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn’t put it down - SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK (jk, jk). But yeah... I was definitely exhausted the next day. (Pssst.... "Lilac" is a reverse-harem romance told from four perspectives. Braxton is a complex female character who has learned to fight for herself and her future from an early age. Houston is a male character who is the leader of the band and is willing to do anything at any cost just to keep the band together. Loren is a careless male character who is impulsive in his actions most of the time. Jericho, on the other hand, is a male character who accepts life as it is to keep his best friends together. I loved the connection they have through the whole book! If you're looking for an RH romance and you also love B.B. Reid's writing style, then you should read this book! Highly recommended!!!

The whole "cherries" thing just got on my nerves. Maybe because I'm not a fan of the fruit in real life... who fckn knows. But I know using them as a euphemism for whenever the FMC was turned on became extremely frustrating to read. She was HORNY goddammit it. HORNY! Now the sex scenes were hot. That was the saving grace for me. I love reading MM and getting a bit of that action in the story and a connection between the men was a nice bonus. If you're a lover of RH then check it out, you will enjoy it. Just prepare yourself because this is THICCCCCC

I loved her writing, loved the way the story was told, loved that none of them were even close to perfection. Houston, Loren and Jericho were famous and they had a lot of baggage. Why do we fall for bad boys again? They owned my heart but I actually felt the need to slap each one of them a lot and not just once. LILAC is about love. Love yourself, find your loved one no matter what others think of it. It's about the family you choose and friendship. It's a huge book and a lot of things happened so that made me feel like I read and entire series not just one book. But still wasn't enough. It has a beautiful ending but I was in love with all of them and wanted more. It is so good and oooh so hot!!!!!!! In the midst of a tour they fought, they provoked each other and they found love. This is a reverse harem story, so you know what happens ( one more reason why I'm a fan of Braxton). And if you like a great story, music, angst and also steamy book, I highly recommend it. *I received an ARC of this book. Eu simplesmente a amei! Braxton é minha heroína. Ponto final. É tão bom e as cenas pegam fogo!!!!!!!

Keiran is till date my favourite anti hero of all time and I don't think anyone can ever replace him. That being said , I am so disappointed to tell you people that That did this book was rather boring for me. I know how BB writes and maybe I set the bar too high with my expectations , but at one point I even considered leaving this one in the middle. It was missing that spark that BB's books contain and that is what bothered me the most. There were places where the book got interesting but it was just too contemporary for me. I expected something much more dark but had a tough time finding that darkness in this book. I am pretty sure there are people who love contemporary and avoid dark Romance novels , and they are the ones who'll absolutely love this book , but for me , who is a dark Romance lover , this one just didn't sit right with me. For the first thing being , that almost till the first 30% of the book , it seemed like things were being dragged too much. The characters had a chemistry and I felt that chemistry , but things were sort of dull between them. I found myself just hurrying up so that I could finish this book rather than wanting to savor it. I really hoped that this book would be one of my top reads but it truly breaks me to say that it was absolutely not. The book was too long for no reason and I just couldn't connect with anyone. I really hope that you guys enjoy this book , but for me it was a bit too plain and not something that I expected from this author. Instagram | Facebook | Twitter | Pinterest | Bookbub | My Blog

Braxton and her guys had me entertained all read long. This young woman is just so amazing. When she becomes the new guitarist for Bound, a highly popular rock band, she doesn’t shy away from the members and proves that she has her place with them. She’s outspoken, sassy and I was in awe of her badass attitude. Her chemistry with Houston, Loren and Jericho is palpable and intense from their meeting. Each one of the guy is so different, but brings something special to her. Houston, as the front man of the band, is the leader with a broody but so commanding personality. He’s hostile to Braxton and the feelings she evokes in him. Then there’s Loren, the bassist, he’s careless and always ready for a good time. He wants Braxton from the start and makes it clear to his bandmates. Jericho, the drummer, is the calm one of the trio. The man is understanding and truly sweet. In spite of all their differences, they all want Braxton as theirs creating conflicts inside the band. They all need to realize their true feelings and desires before diving into their sinful relationship though. As it’s expected from a reverse harem romance, the level of hotness of this story is so high! Some scenes are so filthy! It doesn’t mean that there isn’t also deeply emotional moments too. This book is really well balanced on all facets. Lilac was ultimately a fantastic experience that I highly recommend! ** ARC received in exchange for an honest review **

So let's start with the fact that this book was far too long and now that I've found out it's 558 pages !!! I understood why! Who needs such a length of book about a bunch of hormonal youngsters raging in a pool of dramas? Braxton Faun is a 22-year-old girl who gets the big chance of her life when she is called to audition to be the new guitarist of the rock band "Bound" after their guitarist died under mysterious circumstances. The band is going out in 3 months on a 1 year tour around the US and Europe and they must be ready. Would you think that for an audition like this you have to come with a guitar? well no .Braxton who comes to the meeting and stutters in fear does indeed accept the role of her life. The three members of the band, the founders of the brand, are not at all satisfied with the matter and are determined to make Braxton a difficult life. Why ? No one knows. Is it because they think she's not playing well enough? Naaa, she's virtuoso on the strings. Is it because she's unprofessional and lazy? Naaa that's not true either - she gets up every morning at 6 and makes her way to the rehearsal room and practices every day for 9 hours diligently. Is it because she's a girl and she has tits and ass and once they saw her they felt like they were attracted to her insanely? Yeah ... probably that's it. Total justified reason. *** From this point there are some spoilers that in my opinion will not spoil anything but at your own risk, whoever is planning to read. * * * * * * * * * * Three months of preparations pass them by pleasantly while insults, slamming doors, sleazy flirtations of the band members and nerves of all present (including me) and they finally begin the tour. They spend the journey on the band's humble bus - a bus with a living room, a kitchen, a room with bunk beds, another room with a double bed (for groupies), a shower room , and also, yes, room for a driver. While performances that are barely noticeable (where is the adrenaline? The excitement? The vibe of the audience? The lights? - nothing !! There could just as well have been a bunch of accountants) Braxton, Houston, Lauren and Jericho form, let's call it a relationship, made up of an endless cycle of lies, tantrums and outbursts, silly power games, flattery, reconciliation, sex, and so on × 3 , Mind You, because each band member has their own story . Later on, the plot "develops" in such an artificial, irrational and completely scattered way. We have - crazy exes , Braxton's little sister whose parents are forcing her to get married (in one scene Braxton gets a phone call that her sister is in the hospital and she immediately sets off to get to her. All three friends join her while canceling scheduled shows! "Fuck the tour" they say. "Braxton is more important" . Yes, of course. Very professional and very logical ....) And to make it more interesting we also have Lauren's domineering father and Houston's tragic past. It felt a bit like the writer was doing a brainstorming session and all the ideas end up going into the story. A little about the characters: An attempt is made to create interesting and mysterious characters. In practice, very stereotypical figures were obtained. Houston -lead singer, a 28-year-old guy, is the supposedly responsible adult. He is always grumpy, yelling at Braxton, threatening her, throwing her off the bus, commenting on her performance and in short making her life bitter. Braxton is not a weak woman, and with the help of power struggles and her super power that is between her legs, the magic vagina, she eventually subdues him, until he straightens up. Lauren - The band's bassist is the light-hearted, beautiful blond guy. Always with a joke, always flirting, always the trouble maker of the guys. Lauren grew up with a teaspoon of gold in his mouth and used to always getting everything he wanted. Braxton teaches him what patience is and after a few more tantrums and a few more games, he too discovers the way to the Promised Land between her legs. The drummer Rich or Jericho is the gentle and sensitive guy of the three (except in sex, where he gets tough and his real emotions are expressed. How deep, right? ) he treats Braxton nicely, kindly, just like his sister. Until he suddenly finds himself with his cock in her mouth. This is a very touching moment, this connection of theirs. (eyes roll ) Braxton herself is a very complex girl - she comes from an extreme religious background. Her parents are crazy about their religion. And Braxton, who suffers greatly all her childhood, quickly disappears from there at the age of 16, not before she was imprinted as a sex addict (because hey, this is very appropriate for us in the case of Rivers Harem. God forbid we deal seriously with the issue of addiction) And also a bit crazy because she has synesthesia (sensory mixing). *** Braxton's synthesis is very interesting - she experiences sounds as colors, which is a common phenomenon among those who have the feature, but she also smells emotions! The smell of cherries is passion, the smell of olives is sorrow and so on. I Must tell that this is a completely new invention of the writer and has not been known to be true . it is her right, only I thought it was pretentious and absurd. Back to Braxton's character - to her credit she's not a sucker. She does not give up on the three clowns around her and pretty much maneuvers them with all the forces at her disposal, to do as she pleases. ( and let's call it love ) As you can see, almost the entire book is made up of repetitive power struggles. An unending cycle (again, 558 pages) of emotions and exaggerated drama on the part of all the participants who reminded me of someone (I did not say who) in adolescence the day before menstruation. Very tiring, very artificial and the most childish there is (only with sex) One good thing I have to say - at the end of the book it really seems like love and that everyone lives forever happy, but the road there was so exhausting that I was already completely tired of reading In conclusion, because this review has also become too long, me and B.B. Reid will probably not meet again. What was for me exaggerated and grotesque in her previous books that I read was repeated here as well. Scattered and unfounded plot. Ridiculously childish and dramatic characters. I'm too old for this shit.

B.B. Reid has always had a unique and captivating perspective on the romance genre. She’s always been a favorite of mine- one of the few authors that I can say I have read every book they’ve written. She isn’t afraid to let love teeter on the side of toxic and dangerous, to explore the gnarly nuances, to convey the addicting, consuming, irrational parts of the human heart and mind. BB lets love be twisted and messy, she lets love devour. SO naturally, I could not WAIT for her take on RH. This sto B.B. This story doesn’t read like a first time reverse harem- this story reads like a tour de force of reverse harem magic. Because B.B. unflinchingly nails the tenets of what make reverse harem such a complex and addictive type of story telling- characters and chemistry. When you have MORE leads to capture and give life to (and here BB gives us all four POVs), not to mention a wide array of secondary characters, nuanced character development is a must. And B.B. nails this- each of our four leads is so unique, so lovingly and carefully architected, I feel like I know them better than I know some of my own friends. Each has a specialized character voice, a compelling and character defining backstory, personality quirks and emotional needs that make every one of our characters more than just defined- they are vibrant. They are real. Flawed, but beautiful. Jerich, Houston, Loren, and most importantly Braxton represent some of the strongest character work I’ve read in any story, let alone a RH. They are real, immersive, beautifully rendered. But beyond that, BB also carefully constructs all the unique aspects of chemistry. That is, in part, why this story is pretty long- but that investment pays off. BB recognizes something fundamental to MEANINGFUL RH story telling- that you have to build connection and chemistry individually in pairs before you can fully develop a group identity. BB knocks this out of the park-with every character building (or in some cases repairing) a meaningful emotional connection with one another that is the foundation of a functional harem. THEN we start to explore the group, marvelling at how those dynamics seamlessly swirl together from a tangled knot into a beautiful anchor. THIS is what makes Lilac so compelling- the character connections and how they progress. Yes, this story is long- but, for the most part, I felt it was essential. There is a lot of content, a lot to explore. BB creates a VERY in depth look at each character's journey long before they converge as a unit- to know them takes page real estate. The pace is also unusual-it goes in bursts- but I appreciated an interesting and unique plot rhythm- it felt almost musical in nature. The exposition did take a bit longer than I prefer- took a bit of time to sink our time into this story, and the conclusion felt a bit drawn out if I’m honest- a lot of loose ends were tied up. The story might feel overstuffed, and perhaps it is, but I appreciate it more than anything- because I LOVED these characters. At its heart, BB is really telling a story about the destructive and restorative power of love. How in some cases love from the same person can transform over time. These four may have an unconventional love, but love doesn’t have to be explained, accepted, or understood to do what love is meant to do. When love is open, honest, and true- love redeems, love heals, and love breathes meaning into life. SIDE NOTE- BB fans should know that this is contemporary and less dark than her other works. We still have some alpha jerks (but no bully), we still get some dark topics or themes, but the nature of the relationship (both physical and emotional) feel different. This is still HOT AF- and I personally love when authors switch things up and try new genres/tropes- but in case you were wondering how it compares I wanted to note. 4.5 stars

This book was so emotionally charged and full of the hottest angst and sexiness. I enjoyed every second of this book. I was literally counting down the hours during the day until I could read more{Currently taking finals}. Braxton, Hutson, Loren and Rich have captured a piece of my heart. These boys are a more than best friends they are a unit. Where one goes they all go. When Braxton shows up it is no surprise that they all fall for her. She is a badass who doesn't let their intimidation games scare her away. What did come as a surprise to them is that they wanted to share her. Braxton just wants to play music and inspire people. When she is put into Bound everything changes. I love the way they all had such deep feelings. The relationships between each of them and Braxton are so different. They each have something special and HOT but when they are all with Braxton it is like a puzzle with all of it's pieces finally together. They are so incredible. This book is extraordinary. It is full of passion and need. It has top notch angst and beautiful soul touching love. Plus it has twist I never saw coming. I love it with all my heart. My heart is so full I could cry it is so wonderful. I am forever in love with these four and their story. I Highly recommend this. It is one of my Favorites of the year and in my Top 3 Favorites of B.B.'s!!! I wish I could have Loren, Huston and Rich all to myself. I love them and Braxton so much.

I don’t read reverse harem because while I indulge into love triangle and mfm stories, a reverse harem is a bit out of my comfort. But I enjoyed this one quite a lot. Same great characters and writing, you could read the author’s mark on every page and I’m glad that didn’t change. I really like Lilac, she’s a strong heroine that does whatever she wants and doesn’t care for what others want her to be or do. The guys are falling like flies at her feet and it was interesting to read how everything I don’t read reverse harem because while I indulge into love triangle and mfm stories, a reverse harem is a bit out of my comfort. A few suspenseful twists, especially at the end, and a lot of steamy twisted scenes that kept me glued on my kindle so I can read it in one sitting and that’s a huge book.

I loved and hated so much of this book! I decided to just pick an average 3 star rating. I loved the potential of this reverse harem with some of the most amazing sex scenes I've ever read. The characters were all so well developed and distinctive. To have four main characters that I felt like I knew so well is a huge achievement by the author. I did hate all the games Braxton seemed to play with the boys. Watching these rock star gods being belittled like little boys who were at Braxton's beck an I loved and hated so much of this book! Also this book was just too long! The entire middle part just needed to be cut because it just dragged. Yeah... so very mixed thoughts on this one.

I love it when I read new themes from authors I love. I have followed B.B. Reid from the start and this was a really good, edgy reverse harem book. I will admit that I was intimidated by the lenfth of the book. In parts I felt I was too long and I do think it could have been shorter. But, that said I liked the dynamics between the characters and the chance to explore them. Braxton was a heroine I admired. The boys are here to give her a tough time but eventually everything falls in place. The book I love it when I read new themes from authors I love. I have followed B.B. I love a good rockstar book, and an RH rockstar book is even better - so when I saw so many 4 and 5 star reviews on Amazon, I was excited to read this book. Unfortunately I found this book to be a major disappointment. I personally didn't really like any of the main characters, especially the guys at the start, and didn't really find anything redeeming about their treatment of Brax. Didn't really connect with Brax and why she finds the guys attractive when they treat her so poorly. Didn't really connect with Brax and why she finds the guys attractive when they treat her so poorly. While the sex scenes were fairly hot, they happened at such inappropriate times or when they really needed to talk, so they kinda ruined the romance of the story for me. I actually didn't find there was much romance at all, no progression and just a big jump from asshole behavior to lust to all of a sudden love. Just didn't work for me. The only real reason I kept reading this book was to figure out what happened in the guys friendship, and even that was disappointing. Unfortunately for me personally this was a big swing and a miss.
