I thought this was a well written edge of your seat thriller! It was intense and grabs your attention from page one and it will make you stay up late just to finish it. I enjoyed the story and definitely recommend Thanks to the author for the early copy

4.5 stars - this one kept me on the edge of my seat from cover to cover. The story came so alive for me that I ended up having nightmares about a murderous motorcycle gang after me. Lacefield certainly has a way with creating a level of intensity in her stories that makes them hard to put down. In non-pandemic times, I would have easily read this in one sitting. I really love Zoë’s character- she’s a fierce and determined woman who exemplifies what loyalty looks like. I really love Zoë’s character- she’s a fierce and determined woman who exemplifies what loyalty looks like. She is a woman on a mission and even her husband knows that she cannot be deterred. This is why she is one of the Women of Redemption. I kinda want a book where they all team up like friggin superheroes. I could go on but I hate spoilers in reviews, especially in a thriller. I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. The opinions above are my own.

I was gifted an early copy of this book in return for a review. I don’t know what it is about this book, but I was totally sucked in by it from the get-go … before I knew it, I was halfway through! Zoe owns her own tattoo shop in Nevada. So, of course, this means that random people walk in looking for some new ink or maybe even their first tattoo. Such is what happened when she met a very heavily tattooed man. She was taking stock of his other body art when she noticed one particular tattoo that triggered a memory. So much so that she wanted to take a picture of which he would not allow. Little did he know, Zoe would launch her own “investigation” into what his tattoos meant. Through her research, she crossed paths with the detective she had previously encountered and some other not-so-friendly characters. Because of the slippery slope she was going down, she had to be careful who she talked to and what she told them. Did she find the answers she was looking for? This is the third book in Ms. Lacefield’s Women of Redemption Series. As this is the first one I have read, I suspect they can all be read as standalones. It will be interesting to see what other characters come to light in this series. To me, this was a pretty intense read.

This is my favorite Redemption novel to date. While writing this one, the characters came alive for me. I love Zoe, Max, and Oliver as a family and even grew to like those representing the "bad" characters who helped Zoe find her mother's killer and bring about justice. It was interesting to me that some early readers didn't think they'd like diving into the world of tattoo artists and motorcycle clubs--having those pre-formed opinions we all tend to have about various things--yet ultimately fou This is my favorite Redemption novel to date. It was interesting to me that some early readers didn't think they'd like diving into the world of tattoo artists and motorcycle clubs--having those pre-formed opinions we all tend to have about various things--yet ultimately found these characters engaging and very human, just like the rest of us. Everyone has a story. Everyone has a set of circumstances and experiences that shape and influence their life. To me, our job as readers, and my job as a writer, is to explore as many of them as possible. So if you like strong female heroines, plots with twists and turns, and killer redemption stories, you'll love this book!

Motorcycle and tattoos are not my thing, but I did find myself rooting for Zoë Cruse as the heroine of this novel. This book reminded me that you shouldn't discount people just because they are different than you. The book is about a young woman that is co-owner of a tattoo shop. A biker comes in for a tattoo and his back is loaded with weird tattoos. One of them really reminds her of the unsolved murder of her mother. She puts that information together with the tattoo she did for him and realizes they might all represent a woman he murdered. The motorcycle clubs were not your local area clubs these were scary! I enjoyed reading the book but I will say there were several times I wanted to yell what the heck are you doing! It is a dark book for a lot of it I had an uneasy feeling, it definitely is not a cozy mystery. If you enjoy exciting books with a strong female character you will like this book.

I was deeply drawn from the first chapter and the suspense intensifies as pages turned! Spinning words into great mystery and suspense is definitely Lori Lacefield’s forte! I would like to thank Lori Lacefield for the ARC which I enjoyed tremendously.

This book was fantastic. Lori Lacefield did an amazing job creating detailed descriptions and incredible sentences. I loved lines like “Life had a strange way of circling you back to wherever it decided you needed to be.” Or “She was tired of being a woman, sick of not being taken seriously, pissed off of being dismissed.” I found myself unable to put my phone down because I needed to keep reading. From the first page, The Tattoo Artist grabbed my attention and held it firm, when a woman is attacked and murdered within the first few pages. This is my first Lori Lacefield book but it will not be my last. This twist, turns and suspense keeps you attention throughout the book. Zoe is a very determine, brave and crazy character. She is willing to do anything to bring justice to the person who killed her mother. I say crazy because of some of the things she does to try to out to bad guy...but kudos to her bravery. Having never read a novel with a plot about motorcycle clubs or tattoo artists, I had doubts that I would like this book. Was I ever wrong! Lacefield is able to make this unfamiliar subject familiar. Zoe is immediately a likeable character and once it became clear that Zoe wants her mother's killer brought to justice, I was on her side. Zoe doesn't trust the police so she wants to find the killer on her own. The plot follows Zoe as she follows clues discovered in tattoos on a biker's body. Got this book as ARC from the author. Thoroughly enjoyed this! Lori Lacefield reeled the story out at a perfect pace. Things happened that movex the story line that I saw yhru but other plot items totally surprised me. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is a personal style preference that i am not a fan of her short chapters. Got this book as ARC from the author. Thoroughly enjoyed this! I am not a tattoo and motorcycle kind of girl, but this story combines them in such an interesting way that I was very interested to see how it ended. What a great thriller!!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
