TOP READ OF 2021 “One damaged soul silently speaking to another” I’m going to try and give this review the justice it deserves, pun intended. Hostile Saint is like nothing I’ve ever read before. I know I sound like a broken record but Adams continues to get better with each story that is told. This book y’all. This book will forever remain in my heart. I laughed. I cried. I raged for these people. I fell in love with a hard group of bikers who knew to follow the signs. We get to see a side of them that so few get to witness and the connections they form. But don’t get to comfortable because Adams does not hold back. She slaps you upside the head when you least expect it with some mind blowing revelations and revenge that tastes oh so sweet. My heart was racing so fast I didn’t think I’d ever calm down, but make sure you bring the Kleenex and the whiskey. You are going to need them with the telling of this devastatingly beautiful story. 🦋

Tate and Lacey finally I adore everything Ms. Adams writes. I’ve followed her work quietly from the start and enjoy the seemingly random U turns in her books that leave you thinking. Saint definitely takes some different turns. A dark theme certainly. This is a different pace to previous books. Yes, it’s a standalone, but the fast paced emotionally raw prequel is a must, it adds another dimension to this story as it unfolds. While this didn’t dive in head first at the same rate, it was a good read none the less. I found some areas slow and a little hard to connect with. More storytelling rather than character interaction for me. It’s not an MC read in the traditional sense. The suspense and introductions to both the main chapter heads and their brothers, certainly sets up a different kind of read ready for more in a series. I needed more of Tate and Lacey’s journey following Hostile Illusions, and am glad to have read their story. 3 1/2 stars

This book was so emotional for me. The love between Tate (Saint) and Lacey was one I’d refer to as “written in the stars.” It is soul deep and guts you as much as it inspires you. If you were to look up the definition of “soulmates” in the dictionary, a picture of Tate and Lacey would be next to it. If you were to look up the definition of “soulmates” in the dictionary, a picture of Tate and Lacey would be next to it. OMG it just…. squeezes your heart – sometimes painfully and sometimes about to burst with love. Saint only cares about keeping Lacey safe. When describing his love for her to Lync and the others, he indicated that she was the air that kept him breathing and that was illustrated through the entirety of the book. The atrocities these two have experienced were heartbreaking. Yet Saint kept going with a positive attitude because he had Lacey. Who doesn’t want to be loved like that? Although Tate/Saint had witnessed and experienced so much cruelty in the world at such a young age, he was completely oblivious of any of the joys that existed as well. He was raised in bubble of cruelty and that’s just tragic. But watching him learn that life can be enjoyed and he was worthy of love and experience his “firsts” of many good things we all take for granted made me want to jump through the pages and give this kid a hug. They were beautiful moments only made better because he had these tough bikers turned to mush at just watching him have any enjoyment at all. Neither Tate nor Lacey experienced love from those that should have given it freely. They were (operative word being WERE) the only ones that cared about the wellbeing of each other. They didn’t even care about their own wellbeing; just each other. They are both such broken children that have only been held together by each other for so long. I think the only reason neither of them attempted to leave their environment (or this earth for that matter) was each other. Again, who doesn’t want a love like that? Lacey is so traumatized by the events that occur at the beginning of this book that she mentally blocked them out. Complete amnesia. Yet as Saint worked to get her to fall in love with him again, it was like her soul just knew he was safe and she could trust him. It was beautiful and had me in tears. I could go on and on about their interactions but I think I’ve made my point. Their love is the heart of this story. Two souls fighting to get back to each other. The plot itself and mystery were very interesting. Just when I thought their experiences as children couldn’t get any worse, then there was another gut punch of something worse. There are some VERY evil villains. SO very evil. But there are some incredible saviors. One could only call it fate that their paths crossed with the bikers that night. Lync (the President of the Stallions) bonded so much with Saint that he took on a parental role and showed Saint what a parents love SHOULD be. The only thing in this book that had me puzzled was all of the different names for each of the male bikers. I couldn’t keep them straight because they were referred to by different names throughout the book. So, sometimes I was like “who is he talking about?” There were 3 main men that helped Saint through this entire book, yet I still couldn’t tell you who they were referring to when they used the name “VP.” Only that I knew for sure that Lync was not the VP. I thought about making a chart of characters a few times. But that is such a minor hiccup that it barely registers in the entirety of the book. As the plot unfolded and the mysteries revealed, I felt compelled to continue reading. I never saw that final twist coming. I’m still not sure how I feel about it (the final twist). I’m still marinating on it. But I will say that the book was satisfying through and through. It is a standalone, but at the end I learned that some of these characters had their own stories told in separate prior books and I DEFINITELY will be going back to read those. There is also a doozy of an ending that promises a very excited spin off book that will be coming up soon. If you like MC books and you swoon for true love, this book is for you.

My review will come later Review: If you read the prequel Hostile Illusions (which is a must) then understand that Hostile Saint is going back in time and we are following Tate and what happened to him - from the moment in the woods to fully reuniting with Lacey again. It involves the Steel Stallions and the beautiful relationship and brotherhood he gathered to help him and his “Pretty Girl”. This is not your typical MC series. This is a dark and highly emotional read about the underground child sex trafficking ring and stuff that happens that NO ONE ever talks about. We are talking about some horrific abuse and sacrificial séances that involve children. While this is fiction, I applaud this author for bringing awareness to what does truly happen in this world that sounds unbelievable, till you read real life testimonies to those that lived it. And THATS WHY this book is really emotional to read. So we have two main characters. Tate and Lacey. They both have been horrifically abused by siblings growing up. The worse kind. They are left for dead in the woods. Lacey runs off to get help. She finds help for herself but ends up with amnesia. Tate miraculously survives and because of Laceys screams, a motorcycle “gang” ends up finding him and helping him in more ways than one. “You have a new set of brothers now. And we always take care of our own. That’s you, nine lives.” These men of the Steel Stallions embrace Tate, nicknamed Saint and as their own son. Bringing in a lost and timid boy and making him a confident man. The story of his growth was heartwarming to read. They also help with making sure Lacey is seeking the help she needs to regain her memory and love for Saint again. While she’s safe and getting the help and care that will bring her back to the one person that’s loved her, Saint and the MC peel back layers and layers of the mystery behind Lacey and Saint and their evil brothers. Where did they come from? Who is everyone real parents? A lot of questions readers probably had in the prequel, you’ll get answered in this book. There is so many layers and a huge backstory to these characters. It was incredible and deep and mind blowing how India R. Adams wrote the history and backstory of everyone. I was not prepared. This book was absolutely amazing. An emotional journey. There was heart thumping vengeance involved but it is only the beginning of a much bigger picture. I cannot wait to see what happens next.

This was a very well-written complex story! You’re immediately thrown into a grave situation straight out of the gate, and the author slowly lets you come up for air as you work your way through the secrets and lies. *ARC in exchange for review* I loved The Man With A Treasure and when I saw that India was releasing an MC book I was intrigued. But this book was NOTHING like I expected at all! This was the story of two soul-mates, bonded through their trauma and abuse, never giving up hope simply because of the love they shared for each other so purely. One night where Tate and Lacey are left for dead by their brothers, a brotherhood on bikes found Tate and promised to bring him and his love back to life. Driven by his need to protect Lacey, Tate puts his faith in these men who give him the hope and support needed to seek his vengeance. This was dark, at times so uncomfortable and terrible because the abuse here was so horrific, but I felt so much happiness seeing Tate's growth into a man, how Lacey fought through her dark memories and felt the pull to Tate always. This was so good, I just wish it was longer and/or we see them in the future in the next book!

I know people say this all the time but this is unlike any MC book I've read. We have the same brotherhood and camaraderie that you expect but that is not what this book is about. It will also you show you the endurance of spirit and have you questioning how far you will go to save the ones you love. A beautiful and profound love story that will stay with me for a long time. I have a feeling we have just scratched the surface of what being a Steel Stallion means and I cannot wait to be along for another ride.

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars, because it was such an amazing book! This is the extended version from the prequel Hostile Illusions. I'm so very glad that India decided to give Lacey and Tate their HEA, because their love deserves to be told. This book is very raw and so very dark it deals with such abuse you have to wonder...how? How can people be that evil, but it does exist and there are people that are just as ugly and evil who do these kind of thing's and that there are angels who exist to help carry you when you feel like giving up. This book as you go through each chapter India does say that each chapter means something and I've read thousands of book's not even realizing that until this book, so if your willing to step into this world of pain, devastation, despair, revenge for the evil thing's men do then you need to grab this book up it's one you definitely won't want to miss. Trigger Warning: If you need one, this book isn't for you.

I'll admit I went into this expecting a typical dirty MC novel. This story is so much more. I was utterly enthralled by each and every character. The depth given to each and every one of them is incredible and you really feel all their emotions. Tate and Lacey are clearly meant to be and his dedication to her broke my heart. Despite everything they've been through they're survivors. At what seems like the end for both of them the Steel stallions stumble across Tate and a whole new chapter begins. This is where all of the stereotypes and preconceived notions of what makes a person dangerous are turned on its head. Tate has never known love or caring of any kind outside of his relationship with Lacy. The way these men open their hearts to Tate and make his trauma their own was amazing. The rich relationships that the guys built with Tate was beautiful. There were a lot of characters but none of them felt unnecessary, they were all an important part of building this world and telling Tate and Lacey's story. Like I already said, this book completely blew me away, it was hard to read some parts but I feel like we really needed to see the extreme darkness so that the extreme love could shine brighter.

This book completely blew me away. I thought going into it that it would have a similar feel to other books (specifically MC books) where you’d have your bad boys and your girl that gets together with them mixed with some angst and danger, I’m simplifying - I know. I was just amazed at the story line, which does not start with the MC group and really the MC characters are hugely important but there’s a whole other world we are involved in as well. Tate and Lacey are soul mates who have gone through the most atrocious acts of torture that you can imagine. Their only hope is each other and the love they share, which is impressive by itself but factor in their young age and it’s even more so. They get separated due to horrible circumstances but our story centers around Tate and his new connection to the Steel Stallions, who found and saved him. Getting to know Tate and getting to know the Stallions who rescued him was massively rewarding as a reader. The relationship was so rich and genuine between them but also full of both happy bonding times and heart wrenching moments. There are so many well developed characters that we meet along the way and they all slay you with their loyalty to the MC group, and by proxy - Tate and Lacey. This story is a RIDE. You will not figure out where it’s going next and you will be consumed by it. Clear your schedule because you won’t want to leave Tate and his new family once you meet them. Absolutely amazing!

If any of you wants to read the story from Lace’s POV, then read the novella because this book is from Tate’s POV. Lace only had a small part in this book. I was glad that the author put a warning regarding what will happen in the first chapter. Well, not that I skip it, I have to read it too even though I already knew what was going to happen since in the novella Lace was remembering the whole thing. But since this book is from Tate’s POV, it actually gave the complete details as to what happened to both of them the night they were dragged and tortured. My heart hurt so bad for these two knowing how much abused they had to go through in their lives. The whole time I read this book I was like, “so...when will Tate get Lace back?” From the novella, it looks like after he was tortured, he got her back but no, this book actually explained everything, from the night both of them was tortured up until the moment Tate finally save Lace from Serenity. There was a lot of things going on, a lot of journey, and a lot of planning when it comes to saving Lace. It looks pretty simple when I was reading the novella but after reading this book, I knew the process are much more harder and complicated. This book is like a mix of dark romance, motorcycle club romance (mc romance), thriller, paranormal, and sci-fi. So many things that caught me off guard and blew my mind. A lot of surprises I didn’t see coming but overall, it was really good. The reason why I said dark romance is because there are so many dark elements in the story plus this book is a romance book. As for motorcycle club romance, well there are many bikers in this book and since Tate new family are these bikers, we’ll see more of them and obviously again, this book is a romance book and aside from Tate & Lace’s romance, I get to see a romance between Lynx & Elle too. As for thriller, I got a major thriller vibe whenever Tate and the bikers that took him in was trying to search for answers, hints, and everything they can get that can explain the torture that happened to Tate and Lace for years. As for paranormal, well the villain in this book are a bunch of people that joined a satanic cult, I was really shocked that a satanic cult made it into this kind of story. Lastly the sci-fi part, I’m not going to let the mention of two mad scientists slide like nothing happen, and the whole thing about kids got kidnapped and experimented...that right there is a sci-fi element. Too many surprises but the explanation for each surprise was written really well. I was impressed by how well the author write the storyline and plotting it. Never once did I ever thought at least paranormal and sci-fi elements will be present in a romance story like this. It was like this book isn’t just a romance book but instead a multi-genre book. I never read a book that mix a little bit of elements from different genres into one before, this was a first for me. I was left speechless in a good way. Waiting for so long to read this book really worth it because the author really delivered it in the best way. Honestly, there is zero regret in waiting for Tate and Lace’s story. I did have high expectation for this book and I expected it to be good on a highest level and all I can say is, WOW. It exceeded my expectation. I’m not a big fan of motorcycle club romances (mc romances) mainly due to the fact that I’m not into stories about bikers but this one is an exception. I really enjoyed reading this book. There are so many things being explored in this book, such as: Tate and Lace’s trauma, the reason behind why their brothers tortured them, learning the truth about what they really are, finding out who their parents actually are, getting to know the bikers and their family and friends etc. I really liked how the story focuses on these stuffs. It makes me feel so invested in the story. The fact that this book is from Tate’s POV made it even more better. I find it really rare for a whole book to be from the male character’s POV. Usually it was either from the female character’s POV or it was a dual POVs. It was really nice seeing this book doesn’t have a dual POVs or from Lace’s POV, I find it really refreshing that Tate was the one who told their story from his own view and getting to know what has he been thinking inside of his head the whole time. The content of this book wasn’t like what I thought it would be. When I first saw the cover, I thought it will have the same vibe as most mc romance books do, but turns out it wasn’t which was a good thing. From the cover I thought the story would be dark from the start until the end, but when I started reading the book...I was blown away by how hilarious the story was most of the time. I had a great time reading this book because majority of the part was really hilarious. Thanks to the bikers from Steel Stallions MC and Redemption Ryders for making funny commentary and jokes. I loved seeing Tate hanging out with these guys a lot, at least they get to make me laugh instead of letting me get lost in the depressive situation thinking about the abused Tate and Lace had to go through early in the story. The tone of this book is more to light than dark despite some of the dark elements that appeared in the story. I really liked how this was unexpected, really amazed me that I spent my whole time reading this book amused and laughing out loud. Truly amazing to find out that the bikers knew how to joke around trying to ease the situation, and they are definitely a bunch of men with a good and soft hard who didn’t want many people to see that side of them. I really thought Tate would become a biker too but then I remembered that he’s 17, way too young to be a biker but I know one day he’ll get there. I’m not surprise that he joined the Steel Stallions MC and become one of them. It was hinted at the end of the prequel novella that he would become one of them. The bikers all melted whenever Tate opens his mouth to talk, he charmed them all right away. They all have a soft spot for him, after all he’s the youngest. I liked the dynamic he had with Lynx, Dagger, and Vice. These four have been spending a lot of time together in the book. I liked how these three helped Tate without hesitation, trusted him without a second thought, took care of him because they knew how harsh his life was, and when Lynx took him in as his own son...that moment made me happy and I teared up because he deserve to have a good life and now he finally got it and also Lace. Both of them will be protected for the rest of their lives now and that makes me feel at ease knowing they’re fine. Lynx, Dagger, and Vice might be big and tough men who are also intimidating bikers with a lot of power, but deep down they are nice men who wanted the best for Tate and who wanted to make him feel safe. They have a strong and deep bond, and they did train him to become a warrior like them too. I also loved how they welcome Lace at the end of the book, really showed that Tate and Lace are the new additions in the Stallions family. They proved that you can be a family too without having any blood relation. I loved seeing Tate and Lace found a new family in the Stallions after everything they had to go through. Both of them deserves to have good people who actually care and love them like how a family should, and I’m glad those people are the Stallions and also the bikers who have a close connection to the Stallions such as the Redemption Ryders. Tate’s journey in this book was really interesting to read. Readers will get to see the process of him becoming one with the bikers and the training he had to do, and how he gain the name Saint. It was really amazing getting to see what he’d been working on with the bikers in order to get Lace back and how he handled the brothers who abused him and Lace. I really loved seeing development of his character, it was really nice to show how he went from slightly weak to even more stronger. This book also proved that he and Lace are special due to what happened to them when they were kids. Overall, he’s a nice guy who is both tough and sweet. Before, he couldn’t handle everything but now, he can. I’m glad to see him having much confidence in himself. As for Lace, like I said earlier she doesn’t have many parts in this book since it was all being spent on the novella. She is an overall a nice and sweet girl with an innocent soul who was physically abused which weaken her mental and emotional strengths. What she had to go through was brutal, but she’s in fact a survivor. She fought so hard to stay alive and she wasn’t scared when she remember everything because she knew Tate will be there to protect her just as she protected him. Even though she doesn’t appeared much in the story, this is still her and Tate’s story. If you want to find out what happened to her or what she was doing the whole time Tate was away with the bikers coming up with different plans to save her, then read the prequel novella called Hostile Illusions. The romance wasn’t the main focus here which I really didn’t mind at all since there are many more serious and disturbing problems that needs to be handled. But the few romantic moments between Tate and Lace was really sweet. Anyone can see the love they have for each other still present and alive. They have a very strong bond and powerful chemistry and despite having to spend their time apart from each other for the majority of the book, they still feel that special connection to each other. The ending was really beautiful, seeing both of them in their new home with a new big family who accepted them so easily and giving them the warmest welcome...it was everything like I hope it would be. In case anybody who hasn’t read the novella or didn’t know what is going on regarding the journey of Tate and Lace, and are wondering why these two didn’t spend much time together in this book and why they are apart, I’m not going to tell why other than something happened to both of them the night their brothers tortured them and left them for dead. They were separated after that but in the end they found their way back to each other just like they always did before. This book was really breathtakingly amazing from the start until the end. It was really great to be able to follow Tate and Lace on their journey. There are obviously some disturbing scenes and descriptions in the story which will make it hard for some people to read this book. Overall, this book may look dark from the cover but majority of the contents are so wholesome. Waiting for this book really worth it. This book is unlike the common mc romance books, this one is a lot different with unique storyline and many amazing plot twists. I hope anybody who read Tate and Lace’s story will enjoy it just as much as I do.

Wow the author warned this book was intense. This book took me on a ride. I was expecting a dark MC and I got that and more. I hope we will get more in the Steel Stallions MC.

If that isn’t a prime example of what a time to be alive, I don’t know what is. I mean, honestly. With each new book of hers, I think, how could I possibly love this author more? Is it possible? Then I finish said book and yes, it is possible to love her and her magnificent talent more. There is truly no one else like her, no one else that can break your heart, splinter it into a thousand pieces in one paragraph, then a few paragraphs later have you literally laughing out loud. But oh, she does! And with such ease, too. Her writing appears effortless, although I can only imagine the toll all her stories must take. Tate and Lacey are no exception, either. I thought my heart broke for these two sweet souls in Hostile Illusions, but after having to reread several pages because I couldn’t clearly read the words due to the ugly sobbing I had going on, I at one point didn’t think I was strong enough to carry on. But then I thought of Saint, of his Pretty Girl, of their sugar kisses, of the pure, pure hearts they both have, and in them I found the strength to continue on. I’m so glad I did. I wouldn’t dare try to rehash the events of this book, for that would be a disservice to all involved. This book is an experience. It needs to be felt. It needs to be lived through. I won’t lie and say it won’t destroy you, it will. It will hurt so much. Your soul will cry out for all the injustices endured, but India shows mercy. She gives you sweetness when needed, laughter when needed. She’ll have you looking at wooden kitchen spoons in a new light. Oh, my Spoon Bandit, how I love you so. But this isn’t just about Tate and Lacey’s journey. It’s about Saint. It’s about Noble and Jamie. It’s about parents and children, brothers. Familial bonds, blood or not. I’m never the same person as I finish one of India’s books compared to when I start one. I feel braver. Stronger. I’m so glad I was turned on to her work. I can honestly say how life changing she is.

I dont even have the perfect words to describe this story. Not only does it deserve all the stars there are, but it deserves all the love and recognition any book could get! Its dark and dirty and horrific and yet so gentle and simple and brings the little joys of every day into view. This story is one that will live long in your soul for years to come . . . It breaks you apart in so many ways but puts you back together so perfectly imperfect that you can't help but to view things differently. . I dont even have the perfect words to describe this story. Also, read Hostile Illusions first. You don't have to but if you do, I think it brings so much more to this story. Tate and Lace will forever be some of my favorite characters, but I truly just want to hug a biker. Every single named character in this story just calls out to be noticed. And when their stories arrive, I will gladly read each one! And this is definitely not your typical MC book but if you thought India would bring you typical, then you must be new to her. India magically weaves together some of the most flawed and broken souls to have ever existed and then they become the most unforgettable heart scarring to have ever graced the written world. If you don't believe me . . . Then read this! I won't even say I told you so . . . So in conclusion. . . FLOVED IT . . . A million and 1 stars entered here . . . One of my favorite books of the year!

This book broke my heart at a lot of points throughout, by the things both Tate and Lacey endured at the hands of people they thought should love them not harm them. These characters were definitely true survivors. I loved the unique way this author was able to give you such feelings on reliving all of Tate's first experiences with things that most of us take for granted. Tate was such an amazing character with his sweet and caring side, but his love and devotion to Lacey was such a pure and beautiful love. They definitely don't make them like Tate anymore that's for sure. Lacey was such a timid and scared girl who never gave up. Watching her fall in love with Tate all over again was such a beautiful part of their love story. Their hearts and souls always found one another no matter where or what happens. Definitely recommend this book if you want something unique and pulls at your heart, and makes you feel heartache to love in its purest form. Grab this book now jump into the chaos and violence to soul shattering love and survival. It's definitely more than anything you can imagine and will tear your heart out but slowly mend it back. It's one of those books that will stay with you long after it's finished. This book has an amazing storyline and characters that will make you love them and want to wrap them in a big hug. Yes this story is tragic and has a lot of horrific moments but their is this beautiful love story woven into the mix of the chaos and brings every emotion you can experience in one book. I still feel like my heart is a bit broken and slowly stabilizing back to normal after that ending.

I usually jump right into retelling the plot, but I feel like you need to go in blind for this one. You won't expect everything that is coming. This is dark, with only a little bit of sweetness between Tate and Lacey, so be prepared to have your heart destroyed when you learn about everything that has been done to them. There series will continue with Eagle's story, and I don't expect SAIL to go away (there is my one cryptic spoiler)!

Through all the pain there was hope and I loved the way Tate loved his Pretty Girl. The unique spin on the biker world was brilliant. They were these badasses we got to see laugh, joke and let out some high emotion. I loved it! This book is super hard to describe without giving away any of the secrets and you don't want this one ruined for you. It's genius is in the layering of the plot line. I highly suggest you read the prequel Hostile Illusions first and then dive deep into the emotional ride of this book. If you need a trigger warning, heed the authors. This one hurts, but worth it!

Wow just wow. The more words I read by this majestically talented author, the more I become speechless in awe and brokeness. This book especially hit hard, it's not pretty, and it's definitely not easy, but like any other book by this author it's special and will stick with you for a long time. There has yet to be a book written by Adams that I didn't love and Hostile Saint is no exception. This book is a beautiful combination of light and dark, soul gripping story telling. It's full of hurt and healing in their own ways. Every time I think I know where Adams will go next, I'm blown away by the twists and turns I never could have imagined. Incredible This is my 1st by this author (apart from the prequel to this, Hostile Illusions). This book was incredible. It covered some very difficult and heavy subjects and broke my heart over and over again at what Tate and Lacey went through. Definitely check out the trigger warnings. India does a fabulous job balancing the horrors that happen with humor and the immense love of the Steel Stallions family. This is a book that will stay with you a long while.

An Entertaining Read A harrowing story with an uplifting ending. I think it's the nature of MC characters and conversations to be cryptic with half finished thoughts and this story was no exception leading to more than one or two "huh?" moments but the story eventually unravels.
