Better than last one This was better than the one I read before about Murphy for sure. Julian is dressed up like a boy to keep her safe. Angus finds her/him and she takes him to her sick Father. He ends up passing so she ends up with Angus as her/his ward. He doesn't know she's a girl and when he finds out he acts like a ninny. You could see him falling for her but he makes some dunderhead mistakes along the way. Good story very clean Christian novel with just one kiss but it still was sweet. The author has penned a sweet and heartwarming story of overcoming past obstacles and taking advantage of a chance for happiness. This is Angus and Julian's story and the character development is excellent. Julian has led a life of hardship and loss and finds it hard to imagine that good things will ever come her way. At times, Angus acts like a jerk in their evolving relationship which makes it hard for Julian to accept that she is worthy of love. Will the couple ever each a HEA. Angus is outspoken and has a temper, which he tries to control. But it is too much for him when the young boy he tries to help turns out to be a girl, and he attempts to turn her into a prim young lady. Then, he falls in love with her, and decides she doesn't need to change at all. I love the Kavanagh brothers, and have read each of their love stories. I can't wait for the next one! I loved this book. It has a continuity throughout the series. Each and every book shows the strength of family. That is what I love. The characters are so well written. They jump right off the page and pull you in. I felt Julian's pain at trying to become a refined woman after spending a lot of her life hiding in boy's clothing so she would be protected from men. Angus, part of a very large family trusts in his faith to help him deal with the young boy Julian, until the secret is revealed. He is I loved this book. It has a continuity throughout the series. A wonderful story in this series Angus- a good heart, became Julian's guardian after her dad died Julian- been a "boy" for 10 yrs, now trying to help her dad with the ranch. Only Amos To find out Julian‘s family was swindled. Since he is so young despite his protest Amos decides to take him in and to be his guardian. OK this is the premise a young girl pretending to be an even younger boy and having this man think he is like a father figure to her and yet before he finally confesses; Throughout the whole book the hell this running thing where Amos is quick to tell him The reason I didn’t like this book is because throughout the book they are very adamant about the fact he wants to be honest and God-fearing, yet the whole time he lets everyone in the house thank he is a young boy which would be fine if he was a young boy but he is a grown 19-year-old woman. I know they wanted to paint her like she was innocent and honest but she wasn’t and it just struck me the wrong way And by the time I got to the confession in the ending which OMG… I was just over it. Having said that I love Kathleen balls books. As I say you can’t please all the people all the time but you can please some of the people some of the time. This book just struck a wrong code with me. I know people love it I just wasn’t one of those people and this is not a slight on Miss ball because she is a wonderful author and is truly one of God‘s angels and chances are you were probably love This book, I just didn’t. Another exceptional story by Kathleen Ball as brings us into the lives of Angus and Julian. They meet when Angus finds Julian watching on the ranch one morning. Julian had dressed as a boy since the age of ten for her safety being the daughter of sharecroppers and was still dressing that way since their resent move to the ranch, and she was now nineteen. Angus was not sure what he was going to with him, for he did not know Julian was a woman yet. His only choice was to go to the Kavanagh Ranch. This was a very emotional read as Julian had so much to deal with at one time. She lost her father, as a woman the issue of owning property, the cattle and land being stolen from them, pretending to be a boy when she was a woman, when and if to tell them the truth. The list goes on for her. The amount of stress she was under. Her life had more ups and downs mainly downs than imaginable. Then there was Angus thinking of Julian one way and doing things with him and then finding out differently. Just what was right and what was wrong? See how they all figured it out. This is entertaining, dramatic and sweet. Julian is a girl who has dressed as a boy since she was 9, because her father thought that it was safer for her. While he's laid up with a leg injury, she's following and watching one of the neighbors, Angus, learning how to run a ranch. When Angus finally catches her, he confronts her, thinking she's a boy. After Angus finds out that Julian's father is sick, he gets his sister-in-law to help him, while he volunteered to help Julian with ranch stuff. Whe This is entertaining, dramatic and sweet. He's angry when Julian comes clean, and figures that he needs to help smooth her edges so that she can marry well. Poor Julian is told that she's inadequate repeatedly, which us made worse when Angus tries to help her be more of a woman. Julian is strong, shy and tough. Angus is caring , determined and hot headed. It's a great story. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.

This story is so incredibly heartfelt. Of course for me being a complete wuss it should come with a tissue warning... My eyes leaked at least endlessly again and again. But the story has a good and solid storyline and just oh so fine characters. The only thing that bothered me were all the pages of biblical sayings and quotes. It did say in the blurb that it was a "Christian" story but I just did not realize to what extend that was and for me it was a bit too much.... Ms. Ball is a wonderful author and I always love picking up one of her books. This is, however, my first Kavanaugh Brothers book. This is the eighth one of the series. It is a touching and sweet story of healing and taking advantage of happiness when you have the chance. Julian doesn't think she is worthy of love, and Angus doesn't make it any easier for her when he finds out her secret. I enjoyed watching their relationship and trust with each other grow. It was a good story. I really had a love/hate relationship with Angus at times he was such a jerk. Julian on the other hand I just loved this character. She tried so hard to be a good person and when she came clean it kind of backfired on her. She went through too much pain from Angus. I did like how it ended and the author did a fine job of showing the strength of family and courage to admit when you were wrong. It was a good book I hope you check it out.

Angus: Cowboy Bewildered is the eighth book in The Kavanagh Brothers series. I really enjoyed reading this historical western romance. The characters are well depicted and interesting. Love reading series stories of family. The story of Angus has been very interesting as he learns how to take care of a Ward. Growing up with all brothers had not introduced him to understand young women and how easily they can cry when their feelings are hurt. A lot of learning took place between Julie and Angus. The book was so enjoyable with spots of humor.
