This collection felt like a love letter to love, self love, romantic love, familial love. It was both beautiful and painful, hopeful and reminiscent. "our story is ours & no one else holds the pen" Rogue is a magician of words, even in her ability to capture the way others feel. I want to say that this was my favourite collection, but I already know, her next collection will be even better. This collection tackles about love, life, soulmates and about yourself. I really love how all the poetry fits in this collection. My favorite is "MANY LAYERS" because it resonates with me. Like I feel like, hey, that's what I'm thinking most days. This is so me. And that's why I really love it the most. I read it once I saw it in my email and I finshed reading in one sitting! Absolutely love!! These poems are some of J.R. Rogue’s best! Absolutely loved this collection. I read a couple out loud to my husband.. I felt like she took the words out of my heart and put them on paper.

"My brush will paint this life any way I desire" Rogue creates beautiful poetry and this collection is no exception. This was a happy surprise to have this collection released early. Her poetry makes me want to fall in love again, so I can send someone these poems. "My brush will paint this life any way I desire" Rogue creates beautiful poetry and this collection is no exception. "You chose me, I chose you fate flipped a coin & even when we didn't, the universe always knew." Y'all, going into this final installment in the Letters to the Universe series was so bittersweet. I knew Jen would knock it out of the park (and she did), and I was just so sad for it to be over. There's something so unique and haunting and beautiful about this whole series, and this concluding chapter blew me away. Jen is a master wordsmith. There's something so unique and haunting and beautiful about this whole series, and this concluding chapter blew me away. Jen is a master wordsmith. The way she weaves ink and words and emotions and that soul-deep thing in all of us is utterly magical. Her work is always ready to reach into the very depths of me and nestle in like a long-lost friend on a cozy winter's night. Every word finds a way to resonate with me, and I will forever read any word she writes. Go on and take the chance on this one.

There will never be enough words to describe how to feel once you finish a collection by J.R. Rouge. I know for me I always just feel everything. If it’s possible to feel all the emotions all at once, that’s what I feel. Poems for the Dawn: Vol 2, I savored reading it, I wanted slowed to slow down time but I also wanted to never end. Each poem was this brilliance. They shined. To simply put it, this collection of poetry gleams with hope and I loved every single word.
