Predictable but a cute, fun read

Ootasin rohkemat.

Just a fun vacay read. Could have been better though. Carla was one irritating person. They just seemed so off together no real chemistry amongst the 2.

Bought at church rummage sale. Carla and her friend are on vacation in Mexico. Other trips have been nice but they didn't have any chance at romance. The next two men who enter the bar and order a margarita will be their "targets". They are both out of their comfort zones but end up having very nice vacations, but can these men really be their soul mates? Easy read Bought at church rummage sale. Shadow Chasing (5 Stars) This story was fabulous! I loved the characters and just how everything flowed so well. This was a very light and clean romance (just kissing). I liked that it was a very fast read so if you wanted to take it to the beach or something this would be a great book to take with you. Yesterday Once More (1 Star) This one after reading about two pages. Just didn't grab me the way Shadow Chasing did. So I decided to DNF it. Shadow Chasing (5 Stars) This story was fabulous! Love Trumps All This is a beautiful love story. What begins as a Mexican vacation to find romance, leads to true love. This love is not without its trials and tribulations, but it certainly proves the adage that love conquers all. On a personal level, I feel incredulous at true, undying, marrying kind love being found after a mere six days. However, this is a fun, quick read.

Ending was good I can't remember the last time I disliked a character as much as I disliked Carla, the heroine of this book. I could not understand why anyone would like her, much less fall head over heels in love, as our hero Philip did. At about the point I was convinced I couldn't stand it anymore, she began to grow past her issues and the ending redeemed the book. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. Carla and her friend both have romances while on vacation in Mazatlan, Mexico, but hers turns out to be a policeman like her father. She’s vowed never to date policemen but this holiday romance with Philip changes her mind and her heart.

Shadow Chasing made me crazy. Carla was so whiny it was like a teenage drama/toddler meltdown over and over again. I love Debbie Macomber so I pushed through it hoping it got better but truly it never did. Yesterday Once More was wonderful, loved the characters and didn’t want to put it down.

Carla and her friend go on vacation. She meets Philip. Even though he is a cop, she falls for him. She fights her feelings for him. She is stubborn but her family is on his side. Philip is a patient man.

Shadow Chasing As with all of your book's Debbie you kept me entertained all the way through to the end. I love all your books whether they are stand alone stories as this o n e is or a series. I'm so glad Carla was able to work through her issues for true love. Shadow Chasing As with all of your book's Debbie you kept me entertained all the way through to the end. Originally written in 1986, this was fun to read for something different. Although the female character - Carla - drove me to distraction with her “I will never marry a policeman”, but “I love you” and going back and forth between the two opposites.

Typical Debbie book. Girl find man with a twist, they fall in love but try to deny it . Realize after they love each other. Still good though

Defi itely some of her earlier writing. It didn't draw me in like so many of her books have. Defi itely some of her earlier writing. It didn't draw me in like so many of her books have.

Shadow Chasing and Yesterday Once More....2 stories in one book...Titled A second Glance
Kathleen –
Both stories featured whiny characters who were incapable of communication in their relationships

24 lehega on mees välja valitud, Daddy issued ära räägitud, poolenisti ära armutud.... Ma ei tea, kas see on tõesti nii halb raamat või minu nõudmised raamatule on lihtsalt palju kõrgemad.
