Unstable powers, a uncertain future, and one overwhelmed girl. Chaos doesn’t even begin to explain my life. Now that the first two artifacts are a part of me the third haunts my dreams. It calls to me, overwhelming my senses. Between that, the council, the demon, and everthing else, I did the only thing that I could think of, I took off. Hopefully, Charlie can forgive me Unstable powers, a uncertain future, and one overwhelmed girl. Chaos doesn’t even begin to explain my life. Between that, the council, the demon, and everthing else, I did the only thing that I could think of, I took off. Hopefully, Charlie can forgive me for leaving without a word. Disappearing seemed like my best option, until the demon found me, forcing my hand. Needing to save Becca and find the third artifact before him, I’m left with no other choice but to return and finish what I started. To find the artifact in Hell, I must turn to the council for assistance which reveals even more corrupted their true motives are. Now, I have to determine the right course for not just myself, but the world too.

Seriously?! This series just keeps getting better and better. I don't like to put spoilers in my reviews, so I'll just say I really liked how certain things developed. I loved Christina's view of herself at the end of the book. Very well written and I feel like things progressed naturally. That ending though!! I'm gonna be thinking about that artifact until I get my grubby little mitts on the next book! Seriously?! This series just keeps getting better and better. The artifact hunt continues, and the changes of situation and in Christina's life are gaining speed with every page. Battles with council? No one to trust? Sometimes I felt like Charlie was a bit overwhelming, on the other side I totally understood his point of view. And I also get it Chris' life is now adventurous and flies by fast, but I felt like the climatic part was a bit rushed. Otherwise, the story truly went on smoothly, was fast paced and full of action, and motivates the reader to wait restlessly for the next installment.

Chris and Charlie finally admit their feelings for one another and become and item. This story picks up a few weeks after book one. Chris left town, but don’t worry, Damien scares her into going back. She comes back to a distraught Charlie. Who then makes the first move. Finally!! Chris learns a lot about the artifacts inside of her and learns more about the council and teams up with Luke. Albeit, she didn’t want to at first. You’ll see. If you haven’t yet, start from book one. Highly recommend this series.

This is my favorite book of the series so far. Not one momemt of down time, its action packed. I'm loving how things are progressing with Christina. Not only is she getting stronger and smarter, but her personal relationships are improving. Christina is becoming more open with Charlie and her parents. She seems to have found a new partnership in the council but only time will tell if it's true. Everyone seems to be deceiving her for some reason. Christina is becoming a force to be reckoned with. Little slower than the first two in my opinion but, definitely better as Christina finally stopped being a doormat to the council and stepped up now I can't wait to see if she lays the smack down to the council. I love the mix of all the elements and magic. Yay that Christina has finally found her backbone. I see twists and turns coming as to who is actually on her side.

First off let me start by saying this is the third book in the series and it is a MUST to read the series in order. You won't regret reading the series though. There is drama, suspense and action; not to mention demons, reapers, witches, fae, heaven and hell. What more can you want from a book? Check out the series to see just how much one person has to go through to find who she can trust and who is only using her for the Artifacts. Wow, another knockout addition to this series! The artifact hunt continues in an interesting new place and the council twists still have me questioning who to trust. I loved the developments between Christina and Charlie too! The writing was well-developed and there was a satisfying balance between action and romance. Urban Fantasy at its finest! I kind of wish I had discovered this series a bit later on because I now have to wait for the next book - when all I want to do is find out what happens. Like the first two books, this one is fast-paced and full of surprises and humour. I'm loving the character growth and without giving away any spoilers, looking forward to a possible new love interest. Five stars and highly recommended. Urban Fantasy at its finest! This story picks up where the first book left off, but a bit of time has passed. Chris needed some space, so she left town. What she didn't expect was to get stranded, and have to tough it out where she's at. But thanks to a little help from Damien (yes, the demon) she's able to get back on track and get home. But now...the elephant in the room...the next artifact. He wants it, Luke wants it, and Charlie is not wanting her to go alone to get it. Add in that Becca is falling apart, and Chris's relationship with Charlie is finally taking off as she wants. Question is...can she handle everything and stay out of trouble? This book is better in places and more engaging, but then it is also slower in some spots as well. I wanted more of the training for her before she was essentially "marched" off to Hell. I like that Charlie finally tells the truth concerning his anger towards Chris for so long, but I will admit that I still think that things are moving pretty fast between them. He's JUST admitting that he's been wrong for shoving his anger on her, but I wanted them to take things a bit slower. LOL! Probably just me, but it's true. Things do move pretty quickly with this book as Chris develops her powers and grows into them in more ways than one. I will say that I'm confused by a few things that happen...or don't happen. Chris knows the truth concerning the council and her parents...so my question is this...why didn't she just tell them? I don't necessarily think that they are still hoping to be reinstated, but I think that knowing the truth would be a good thing for them. Also, why won't she help Becca? The author leaves me with a few questions, but it's not anything that I'm about to get all bent out of shape about. All in all, this book kept me page turning and I love that picks up pretty close to where the last book left off and that the author gives me just enough filler to know what happened. If you've read the previous books in this series, then I suggest you grab this book. Things are getting intense and you don't want to miss out!

Book 3 in this series, so definitely read the 2 previous books before this for the full story. Reaper Christina is still on the search for the 4 magical artifacts; she's found 2 so far, but there's a little problem when they absorb into Christina. Now, she's dealing with how to handle all these extra powers; she's becoming quite formidable, which is good because she has a whole bunch of people with nefarious plans for those artifacts out to control Christina. This book opens up with Christina working as a waitress in a different town than her home town because she went off on her own without telling anyone because she's unsure if she can control the power now within her. Her car broke down, so she's trying to make some money to pay for the repairs. There's no running for her though because there are some pretty powerful people that need her to find the rest of the artifacts. Love how Christina is realizing more and more that she needs to really be careful with who she can trust, and it's super great that she's getting training on how to work with her new powers. Still loving all the action in this series! Plus, I love that there's demons, angels, reapers, witches, etc.; fun to have a lot of different types of paranormals. There's also a little more romance in this book, which I'm glad for. Christina is a bit awkward for someone who is almost 20 when it comes to romance, but there's some sweet moments too. This series still leans towards the YA aspect I'd say; it's all pretty tame. I like Charlie okay; he's a bit too possessive at times, but he fits well with Christina. Overall, this is another entertaining book in this series; I liked a bit more depth to the characters, but it's a fun read and I do like all the characters. Looking forward to the finale with the next book!

Oooohhh I love how Chris is developing as a character! She is becoming a strong young woman, who is no longer available for people to walk on. Love it! The storyline continues with Chris needing to find the next artifact. With the council breathing down her neck, a demon with his own agenda and now a witch offering advice- Who can she trust?

I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it. I did get irritated with how the character "figured things out" but then forgot that and suddenly "figured it out" again a few chapters later. It was like the author lost track of things she'd already written. That said, this is a great YA novel, and was fun to read. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. This book finds Christina stranded in a small town about 6 hours away because her car broke down & she has no way to get home without it. While the time in the diner that she's gotten a job in doesn't last long it does show that there are Reapers out there that don't bow down to the council & live within in their "sanctioned cities". With Damien's help, Christina is able to return to her home where Charlie is waiting anxiously wondering what had happened in the last few weeks. With some quick discussion, Christina brings him up to speed on everything that's happened & what she's learned. This book is an important one not only for her relationship with Charlie but her parents as well. Will Mister & Missus Malone continue to be the self-centered jerks that they've always seemed to be, or will the little teasers of who they could be win out to repair their relationship with not only each other but their daughter? With Becca's unreliability & the fracturing of her soul Christina is in need of a new realm jumper, but who should she choose? HOW would she choose? Does she just pick someone who's time is up or does she find someone she can trust? With his wife gone, the male part of the younger couple seems to have just the answer to her problem with his bodyguard Dax. This will provide Christina with not only a realm jumper but also someone who can have her back to protect her from the demons who are sure to fight dirty. This book is just as action-packed as the first two, but with even more detailed fight scenes. Jen L Grey & Shelley Reece bring this story to life both on paper & in audiobook format.
