Further unexpected (yet known) visitors arrive right as midnight approaches, and they have information that puts the Coven's plan into question, But can they trust them? There's only a few minutes to decide: Right or wrong? Good or bad? Truth or lies? This is the final book in this series, but it is the end of the story? Were the able to close the Gap, and now they can all live happily ever after? Did they close the Gap only to create another problem? Or did they leave it open and now have to deal with the fallout? Guess you'll have to read it and find out for yourself.

The focus seems to shift in this book. No longer are we feeling the struggle between Tegan and Tennessee's bond. They embrace it fully and we see strength from that. I loved seeing Tegan and Tennessee come full circle in this one (and when you read it, you will know what I mean). I also relished the power the two of them have and their ability to understand their inner selves, and how that influences their choices (such as Tegan and the darkness). I also relished the power the two of them have and their ability to understand their inner selves, and how that influences their choices (such as Tegan and the darkness). They're very dynamic characters. We also get more POVs, so we appreciate several of the cards on a deeper level, which I really enjoyed. The characters are very well written, and the Coven so strong, that learning personally about each one adds a lot of depth and layers to the story. I don't really want to give away any spoilers, but similar to other books of the series, it is very fast paced. The Cards aren't given a break from one prophecy to the next, and they are continuously thrown curve balls. There are new species additions to this book as well and I look forward to see how that dynamic plays out in future series, especially with Chutney. Even better? We get more of Emerson and Deacon. What is there to say other than I LOVE THIS SERIES! Hands down, this is literally one of the best written series I have ever read. Not only is it very well studied, also the world building and plot are incredibly unique. The research and descriptions on Salem are extremely accurate and I love that the author took the time to perfectly illustrate the town of Salem, right down to the houses and streets, both today and three hundred years ago. I could see everything play out beautifully, vividly, and violently in my head like I was right there with them. The Cards and their gifts never get boring, and in this book we get to see their powers pushed to the extreme. They all reach beyond their comfort zone to fulfill the prophecy of the Salem Gap and I had no idea what was going to happen until the last page. Overall it is an incredible book, and while it feels like an ending to a series, the plot and characters are set up perfectly for the beginning of a new one. The Cards have so much more to tell and do. Even now, with so many questions answered, there is still so much left to learn. I want more!

Wow !! Chandelle Lavun has an incredible talent. She has kept me totally engaged and committed to this storyline for 6 books. This is the first time this has happened for me. Plus I was so pleased at the end that this is not the end of the coven, only this particular storyline. And what a storyline this was. It was extraordinary how I could feel all the emotions of these Characters. I've cried with them and for them, my heart has broken over the loss they have endured, physical or emotional. I f Wow !! I felt like I knew these Characters, I could envisage their faces, and actions. The world they lived in was realistic. From the very beginning of this storyline a love story began, amongst all the blood and death, amongst all the quests they had to fill, they was constantly against a clock. But this coven was a team, they supported each other through every single step. There is mystery, suspense, danger, darkness, grief alongside life, love, friendship and great one liners. This series has everything to keep you hooked and turning those pages as you can literally feel the magic. The Aether Witch showed us so much more depth in the Characters, i enjoyed getting to know them a bit more and great that Tenn & Tegan didn't have to hide their relationship, the book showed us the intensity of their feelings for each other. They all finished collecting the earth stones and now finally they need to change the world. I definitely recommend this series to any fantasy reader, it will take over your emotions, you will cheer for them, you will suffer with them. Chandelle LaVaun has transported me into another world, she made my world dissolve around me, she gives you originality, she can transcend traditional ideals. She has the ability to take over every thought you have. I can't wait to see where the rest of this series goes.

As part of my 2020 reading challenge, I want to start adding written reviews once I finish a novel. As this is the first one finished in 2020 - here it goes. Tegan and Tennessee really blossom into their relationship. I liked the ending stuff with them (trying to not spoil anything here) and felt satisfied with their "ending". We get to see some more of Emerson and Deacon - as well as some other POV's. I felt like there were some unanswered questions with this book. I haven't read the novella, The Fire Witch, so I don't know if those answers are in there. But as an ending to a series, I would of liked to see them in here. Overall, this was a really fun YA read. It was easy to follow, had great flow, and pacing was fast paced and exciting for the ending. The action scenes continued to be great.

When I read the first book, The Lost Witch, I had no idea I'd be finishing the entire series on a positive note--and in 4 days. The first book didn't live up to my expectations.. and frankly, all the other books had issues. For one, I found them all to be quite short. Then, there are major plot holes here and there. Like, in The Aether Witch, why did Everest suddenly appear in the final showdown? More importantly, why was he betraying her Seelie Queen? What happened to Saffie, Myrtle and Leyka?? They spent so much time with them during one slip-up in their quest but they left it hanging. There's also one death at the end that seemed so random. Then again, that aspect is what made this refreshing. Everyone was replaceable--consider a death like the reshuffling of the Tarot Cards. With each death comes a new character. And if you think it that way, the author could really go on and on with this universe. Tegan kicked major ass here. Tenn continued to display his fighting prowess. They really do make for one bewitching couple. There are so many characters involved here but the banter involving Royce, Easton and Lily also earned a few chuckles from me. There were some cringe-worthy lines and dialogues/lines getting repetitive but overall it didn't dampen the whole experience for me.

Absolutely thrilling reading experience. Time is running out before Samhain, and part of the Coven is still stuck in the past with only desperate options how to time travel back... especially when one of the key Cards is dying. Pulling the correct strings transports them back at a huge cost, and hell is not over yet.. not until they solve all the clues that lead to uncovering the Gap. This series is absolutely breathtaking. Plot develops at such a rapid speed I forget breathing in some places, living through the intense action scenes and fights intertwined with raw emotional spots. It is perfectly balanced for a fantasy book, keeping me glued to the chair or bed or whatever during the whole book, only reluctantly closing the e-reader when I absolutely must. I feel so connected to the characters my feelings go haywire everytime a twist in the book appears, and my heart skips a beat when danger rises to insane heights. I absolutely need the next book now.

This book had me gritting my teeth and worrying they wouldn’t fulfill the prophesy. There was a lot of demons to have to wade through while searching for the gap to close. I did not see the ending coming but was excited to learn the truths surrounding the gap. I love dragons so when the dragons were brought back in this book, I got excited. This book has it all, kick butt fighting, hereo’s and heroins, love, loss, and total commitment and trust. I still really want to know what happened to Tennessee when his mother sends him away. Hopefully this will be answered soon in season 2. Can’t wait to follow this series to the very end.

It's not often i find myself starting a series and my attention being held throughout.I find most tend to lose there way a little or use fillers to make it last bit longer, it is not the case with this series. You can tell from the first book that there is more to the story than just the elements being pointed out, that the supporting characters have their own stories that need to be told but also that they are significant in some way to the characters and the journeys they will take.it Just wow! Goddess, I loved this series. Honestly, I'm not sure what I was expecting from it when I started, but it went on and surprised me with its heart and originality from the start. This adventurous, action-packed book (like the previous ones) kept me flipping pages and my heart invested. Tegan is an amazing badass and I loved her so much. I have to say I am intrigued to understand more about Tennessee's background and who he was before his memories were lost as a child. That wasn't explained in this series, perhaps it will be eventually. Either way, I am in this Coven now... ;) or at least I plan to keep reading about them.

Oh my heart This was fun. The time traveling thing was fun but I’m glad they got back home when they did, I was missing their hometown and the rest of the gang. It took so much for them to be able to be worthy enough to close the Gap, and I’m sad yet relieved with how they all managed to keep moving forward. I loved the characters and all their different personalities. They really grow on you, and I couldn’t help but laugh at the way they acted at times. Especially the couples and goofballs. I really enjoy this series. Her connection with Tennessee is so intense and just grows more and more as they face so much danger. She really wants to do what is right and takes the steps to make it happen even if it could have severe risks for her. I admire her determination. I enjoy the fact that they both tell part of the story so you get to see them thru the other's eyes too and really understand more about them. I do have to say every book in the series so far really needs some major editing. There were a lot of grammar and spelling errors. That being said I really love this series. I oopsed and read Bettina's books first. It wasn't too confusing but made a lot more sense after reading Tegan's books. Even with editing issues, it didn't take away from the story lines. I really wish Emerson's books were a little longer though. This is a must series to read!!! I do have to say every book in the series so far really needs some major editing. I just thought about something. White supremacist entitlement is so strong. Like I am sure the author of this series doesn’t think she is racist, but she decided that the genocide of an indigenous tribe was okay to include in her plot. These witches slaughtered a whole ass tribe! With all the magic, there was no other way? So, now I’m going to change all my ratings on her books. I mean I’m used to BIPOC erasure in white fiction, so it doesn’t make me angry there’s only one Puerto Rican character I just thought about something. White supremacist entitlement is so strong. A must read series!!! This has been an amazing series. Fantastic characters with non stop action from beginning to end. As much as I wanted to know the conclusion now I hate that it has ended. Great plot and storytelling. I would have liked to find out what Tennessee is though. If you like magic or witches this is an outstanding read.

Happy Halloween! Epic reading right on Halloween! Loves this series, at first I didn’t like it but now I love it ! Tried to read as slow as I can to stretch it out but I couldn’t , enjoy !

Woah This was a awesome read but I wish it would’ve explained Tennessee’s past more and found out exactly what happened to him. Maybe the next book will have the information I seek.😂😂😂

I need more! Ok, this series is full of action and the quests they have to do are one on top of the other!! It’s kinda crazy how Tegan and Tenn don’t go crazy! I liked this book, but I need more answers. Some parts were hard to follow.
