Shogo Sasaki, a young man with encyclopedic knowledge of the FF series, and his sister Yuko are working at Square Enix in Tokyo when they're magically drawn into an FF world that hasn't yet appeared in a game. Shogo finds out he has the Libra ability, which allows him to see the components that make up things that he sees, but doesn't work at finding the weak points of monsters. It does allow him to do pretty intense research on the world in which he finds himself. We find out, among other thing Shogo Sasaki, a young man with encyclopedic knowledge of the FF series, and his sister Yuko are working at Square Enix in Tokyo when they're magically drawn into an FF world that hasn't yet appeared in a game. Shogo finds out he has the Libra ability, which allows him to see the components that make up things that he sees, but doesn't work at finding the weak points of monsters. It does allow him to do pretty intense research on the world in which he finds himself. We find out, among other things, that Chocobos have smelly drool and Moogle chest tufts feel like dog fur. Shogo and Yuko take up with a party of adventurers, and there's a pretty quick mood shift in that Yuko dies while crossing a cliff. It turns out that the Raise spell is considered legendary in this particular world, but Shogo vows to find it anyway.

Don't even remember purchasing this, but it's a complete waste of money, time and attention. So they slipped a moogle and chocobo into the pages, it doesn't make it a legitimately engaging Final Fantasy story. It's one of those 'boy slips through a portal and ends up in fantasy world' tales, which I absolutely detest. I’d say 3.5 starts. There are some cliches, but it’s not like they need to reinvent the wheel. I also did appreciate the references to FF lore. Very nice.

In this manga series, we meet two Japanese young adults who get sucked into a final fantasy world. The book had some fun elements but the plot was very hard to follow and it was a bit convoluted.

I was glad to rediscover this universe thanks to a book! I didn't expect one of the events, and was quite shocked but I'm pretty sure (view spoiler)[Yuko will come back from the dead at some point in the series! (hide spoiler)] Some scenes were typical of mangas/shonen; there were humour and drama. Loved the illustrations, and so glad to see th I had a good time with this manga! As an avid FF fan I had to pick this up and dive into an new adventure! What I wasn't expecting was for it to be as good as it was. I enjoyed all the plot twists and usual FF lore popping up in various places. Characters from the games get mentioned and I felt thoroughly immersed. Will definitely be getting the next one!
