Heart wrenching! As a daughter and eventual caregiver to my mother who suffered from Alzheimer's for 15 years, this book more clearly opened my eyes to not only the caregiver's world, but also to the patient's world of continuing frustration and decline. At the end of my mom's life, the most cherished memory I have is her reaching for my hand and patting it. She was still communicating to me that she loved me...how precious! An exceptional book. I'm recommending it to our pastor. Heart wrenching! A Must Read for Early Onset Alzheimer’s Caregivers! I have been searching for and longing for this book ever since my husband was diagnosed 5 years ago at age 54. This book has answered so many questions that I have asked myself and worried over as he has progressed. This book has given me new hope and encouragement like no other that I’ve read before it. Thank you Rosalys for this gift!

Care giving With Grace and Dignity I always read books with a notebook nearby This one had so many takeaways for me I could almost write another book. My husband does not have Alzheimer's but does have dementia. He is 85 and I am 80. The similarities are unreal. Until just recently I have been his sole caregiver. We have every intention of staying together until the end. Thank you Rosalie for giving me the confidence I needed to see it through. A Beautiful Story of Love, Compassion and Taking Control of a Dreadful Disease This book will be a useful guide for couples dealing with Alzheimers and other terminal illnesses. It shows how love and patience can really make a difference in handling everyday problems that occur. Such a beautiful but heartbreaking story.

Very forthright account of Alzheimer's journey of staying home vs. being in a memory care unit. Author is the caregiver/wife from Bainbridge Island. Suggested for families to help them better understand the dynamics of this disease. Very forthright account of Alzheimer's journey of staying home vs. being in a memory care unit. Lovely book. Stunning cover. When looking at the cover, a reader wants to know more about Mike and the person who is referred to as 'me.' Within the pages is revealed the tender love story of Rosalys Peel, caring for her husband with Alzheimer's, at home, treasuring each day until the end. Lovely book. Stunning cover.
