Independence, British Columbia is the setting for these stories. Danielle Flynn is a young woman who has armored herself against love. Having lost everyone she had ever loved, she hates good byes, and even hates more when people don't say goodbye and leave anyway. A movie is being made on her uncle's ranch and the crew brings lots of chaos and some romances. The thought of leaving is what makes the conflict, and the characters do as well as Ingram's characters usually do, and that's pretty well. Her uncle Jake has to face some things, too. There is an HEA and it takes a lot of faith to find it - faith in each other.

Very good read I love a well written romance such as this. The plot was different from what I usually read. The length of the book is just right.

Beautiful Danielle is doing really well with her remodeling and construction business. Her uncle is letting his friend and movie crew come film at the ranch. Grey is the producer. He and Dani start on the wrong foot. But he does something to make her feel loved. And she shows him she won't take any gruff. And a plus to the filming. Her Uncle Jake finds love.

I liked the storyline in keeping with the series character as set up in 'Loving From Afar'. I did however, have a couple problems with side characters that really bugged me, thus the low mark. In a series like this continuity is important. In the first story Allison has more than her hands full with her flower farm or which she was expanding at its end. Now she is working at a shop? enough that Dani goes there expecting to see Allison? No. I get that Ms Ingram wanted to introduce Maya in preparation for the next story but this doesn't work. My other issue was the introduction of two names that haven't been used before. Anna's part was just confusing, her name is so close to Maya that I thought Ms Ingram wss confused on the name and it was one person. Who the heck is Faith? This series starts when Dani & Allison are in high school and Faith was never mentioned before. Ms Ingram's characterization has always been a huge plus in her stories. What happened?

Two, two, two romances in one “We’re all afraid,” he repeated softly. “We’re afraid the other person doesn’t love us as much as we love them, when what we should be afraid of is how empty our life will be if we don’t grab onto happiness while we can.” Hollywood meets rural Canada and live is in the air. I like romances with mature couples. My only peeve is the assumption that you can have EITHER romance or a successful career, but not both. Nothing too dramatic. Not like book one in tone at all. Second installment of the Women of Independence by Mona Ingram which I also enjoyed. This one was more of Hollywood meets the Wild West. Danielle being raised by her grandmother and uncle when she was 7 has issues with people leaving and not saying goodbye. Grayson fell for Danielle at first sight and cannot breakdown her issues with abandonment. When the filming is done and he leaves, opening Danielle's heart to go after what she wants......love and a lifetime with Grayson. This was a really disappointing second book in the series. I was hooked after loving Allison's story and thrilled to see this one was a free download too. I think trying to fit 2 romances into 1 book really diminished the telling of both of them. They were very rushed, to the point of not being believable at all, and the "love at first sight" idea didn't really work either since there wasn't much chemistry.

An interesting storyline and some great characters; I just struggle with any story where characters can so quickly jump into bed together. Although this part of the story wasn't graphic, it was disappointing to me. The lead into the book about Maya actually sounds like it'll be a great story to read.

This is the second book in the Women of Independence by Mona Ingram and its by far the most touching book I have read. The first in the series took you to some dark places, while this one was sunny. It's a very good contrast in the series, makes it stay fresh and not overdone. Loving this series, and looking forward to reading more.

Pass On the first page: a logical fallacy, rhetorical question and unnecessarily wordy physical description couched in someone's personal musings. Finished reading it, but things did not improve from there.

Nice story I enjoyed reading this one. My only question would be the speed everyone fell so much in love. Did seem to be very realistic. Otherwise a nice read.

Good Fast read, enjoyable. I don't do long since it is rarely needed. Why does it have to be certain lengthy?
