I love anything that Kimberly Loth writes and this second book in the Sons of the Sand series is no exception! Great characters and great story. I did get a little aggravated with Liv for her behavior toward her brother, Ty, but then again, she is 17! Loads of twists and turns and lots of revelations in this book. I want to know more, more, more! Can't wait for the next book to see what happens next. Keep up the good work, Ms. Loth! This second book in the Sons of the Sand series has lots of surprising revelations and twists. Gabe and Liv’s relationship features prominently in the first half of the book and it definitely has more challenges than most. Insecurities, secrets, danger and loss feature prominently in this this story. The twists will catch you unawares and the ending leaves you dying to see what happens next. I received an ARC from the author but this in no way influenced my opinion or review.

This is book 2 of the Sons of the Sand series. I am a member of Kimberly Loth's ARC group so I get all advance copies of her books. I really enjoyed all her stories and hopefully, I will have time to read all her other books. Like the Dragon Kings series which I only read the 4th and 5th book. I have not read the first three. And there is also another series which I have not even started yet. I haven't also read The Thorn Chronicles and the Omega Mu Alpha Brothers series. Yes, too many books, too little time. This installment came with a lot of surprises. It was like my birthday. A lot of unexpected things and revelations were in this book. They came one after the other that I just can't help feeling bombarded by all these development. So, it was not so hard to get carried away by the events in this story. Gabe and Liv are finally together but the relationship does not promise to be all rainbows and roses. It comes with a lot of complications with Gabe being a genie and all that came with it. Liv, on the other hand, also has a secret of her own which she doesn't know at all. And, I was right on my suspicion that the bizarre fact of her grandmother not being able to talk is something. And it was. Wow! I felt like I was wiped out by a big wave and is still trying shake out the water that hit my face and head. The number of revelations and the implications that came with them are just so astounding and unbelievable. This story has just topped the ante. And it's not just about genies anymore. It's more and I love it! Dangers and secrets. This story will make you crazy with the additional complexities poured into the mix. And the cliffhanger ending does not help, either. This story spells large O-M-G! Oh, my genie! Oh, my Goddess! I am so excited for the next book. I want to be surprised again as to how the story will go from here. I think, it can go anywhere from here and anything can happen. I think I should be prepared to be blown away, again. I give this book 5/5 sharp sickles. I can't wait for the next book. I have high expectations and I am sure, Miss Loth will never fail to make things absolutely even more amazing. I just can't help but say, Congratulations! This is unbelievable! Never before had I had something that I could waste so much time on. It was a beautiful thing. Mindless yet satisfying. - Kimberly Loth, The Blazing Glass - Thank you, Kimberly Loth for the ARC.

The Blazing Glass by Kimberly Loth is book two in her Sons of the Sands series. The Blazing Glass picks up right where The Smoking Lamp ended. Liv is in the hospital after the wish that she made to lock Jasper away knocked her unconscious. The wish was bigger than expected, taking more out of her than any of them could predict. The desired effects were achieved nonetheless. Liv is happy now. Her friends are safe from the sinister Jinn and now she can move forward with Gabe. The desired effects were achieved nonetheless. Liv is happy now. Her friends are safe from the sinister Jinn and now she can move forward with Gabe. Little do any of them know that danger is close at hand once more and that Liv’s life is in even more danger. Things have changed between Liv and Gabe since his change but there are more surprises to come. An old enemy will soon show their face and throw their world into chaos. So much is changing for all involved the only question that remains is who will be left standing in the end? The Blazing Glass will grab you and keep you engaged from start to finish. Liv is still anxious and eager for graduation day to come so that she can see her brother move on with his life. Too bad he’s determined to stay by her until then despite the fact she wants him to move on now. This book provides us with surprises and answers to so many questions that have been left unanswered in book one and answers to questions that reader develops naturally. This book is just about perfect. I loved so much about it. The characters are engaging, the scenes described are beautifully done and the romance elements are well balanced. If I had to nit-pick and find something I didn’t like about this story, I just wish that the title had been tied in to the story as well. Otherwise, the only thing that I really didn’t like was when Liv and Ty get into a disagreement based on his choices and she decides to act like a child. She wants him to move out, to live his life, and prove to him that she’s capable and culpable but then has what equates to a tantrum of pettiness. To be in the moment for a couple hours is one thing, but to let it stream over a couple days is just childish on her part. I like that this story has so many surprise elements to it. It kept me engaged and reaffirmed that this series by this author is becoming the top favorite for me. I didn’t want to put this book down for even a minute because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. This book has all the elements to create a great story that keeps you coming back for more. Now, for those who aren’t fans of cliffhangers, this book has one. I hate to say it but it’s a major cliffhanger but I’m sure the next book will be worth the wait. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed this story so much and I can’t wait to read the next book by this author. Hopefully I won’t have to wait long because I am more than eager for more. If you are new and looking to check out this series I highly recommend you pick up The Smoking Lamp and be prepared to be whisked away into an engaging story that will have you coming back for more.

The Blazing Glass is full of twists and turns, danger, death, magic, jinn, djinn, goddesses, witches, and romance. It is highly unusual for me to have any qualms about a Kimberly Loth book but I have a few with this story. The incident on the beach-- it didn't seem to serve any useful purpose to move the story forward and then it was basically forgotten. When Ali needed to get Liv to safety, why did he drive instead of transporting them? Why didn't Gran do more to protect Liv? While these items bothered me, they didn't alter my overall opinion of the book. I was hooked from beginning to end and hated when I reached the last page of the story. I can't wait to see what happens next. I strongly urge you to read the Sons of the Sand series.

Kim is amazing and her continuation of Liv and Gabe's story keeps you hooked wanting to know what is going to happen next. This series has a different twist on Jinn and genies but I think that is one of the things I love most about it. This series gets better with each book! I really didn't think that was possible. This young adult series has a very dark undertone to it and is not for the immature reader. The second book focuses on the origins of what made Samir so evil and why Gabriel did the things he did. We learn some more back story of Gran too. Gabe became more interesting in this book. We learn more about his past and also his new present as a Djinn. I think the subject of genies is incredibly intriguing and original. But here it's also written from a dark and different perspective. I loved it. There are really interesting new characters in this book, including a villain who created tension in the story. There are also witches that gave to the story another touch of magic and fantasy. Also, I really liked that a small part of the book happened in Egypt. The story was so interesting! I was hooked from the beginning to the end, discovering great secrets and revelations. There are several impressive plot twists. It had some parts full of action and adrenaline, as well as a lot of suspense and situations that created tension in the plot. I think the author could have exploited some parts much more, make them longer, but I liked it anyway. There were also some fun parts and a bit of romance. I still love Gabe and I want to know how his relationship with Liv continues, especially with that end, it was so shocking! I really liked The Blazing Glass and can't wait to read the next book. Me encantó. This information is for you - I do not write book summaries here, I write about my reading experience. On the other hand, I provide links that direct you to relevant pages. Watch out for the hyperlinks or hypertexts, I don't know exactly which is which but you get the point. TBG is only less than two hundred pages, I was able to read it in one night. It was slow on about the first hundred pages and went to hyper mode on the last fifty pages. Slow but gripping, I still read all the words on every page. There were no dull parts, it was exciting that I now think maybe Loth intentionally set the story in that pacing. Then the story and its characters started running, my eyes were pulling the next words as fast as I could. I even had to sit up while reading, that was how intense the story suddenly became. Then it ends. When you think you have another page to read. No. Cliffhanger. Of course, there is a cliffhanger, it is a series. I was expecting it but it went there mid-run. Imagine yourself, walking, jogging, then running and you had to full stop just when you can feel you're accelerating. That's how the last fifty pages went for me. Tell me how it goes for you after you read Book 2. There are, however, plot holes in this book. We have been introduced to Gabe's world at Book 1, I was expecting to find out more about his provenance. Another thing, witches were introduced in the story but nothing about their background. They were needed and they showed up. Each solution to Gabe's problems was conveniently presented. Troubles were drawn to look very complicated but solving them seemed easy. I can't really expound on it because of spoilers. Maybe you'll notice them too when you read it. Moving on to Liv, oh the twist to her character is delicious. That, I did not foresee.

The Burning Lamp Oh the endings! They always make me want to pick up the next book asap. This was yet another quick read from Kimberly Loth. Though, I must say I enjoyed it a little less than the first book. I felt like it didn’t have a punch like the first book. Things were happening but it lacked the thrill. Like Gabe and Ali went to find the thing to kill the Djinn but it ended in just a few paragraphs. First off, the main lead, Liv annoyed me to no ends. I have no freaking idea whose side she’s on. Is she good? Bad? I wanted more interaction with the twins, but they seemed to fade into the background in this book and how things ended I doubt they’ll be a big part of the third book. I’m not ready to say goodbye to them! A lot of things went down in this installment. The scene where Samir first make an appearance in the forest was especially creepy. I literally cringed at that. With how the things ended here, I really want to see what will happen next. Also, these books have the most gorgeous covers ever! ** I received an ARC of this book for an honest review**

Once again Kimberly Loth delivers an excellent sequel in The Blazing Glass, which is the second installment of the Sons of the Sand series. The plot has thickened now because Gabriel must find a relic that will help destroy Samir but not without endangering himself and possibly Liv since Samir knows he can hurt Gabriel through Liv. I absolutely loved this book and read it one sitting because I could not put it down!!! I cannot wait for the next installment.

The second half has a lot of great revelations and set ups a potentially interesting 3rd book, but the first half drug for me. A lot of the first part of the book was focused on Gabe and Liv and neither feeling secure in the relationship and feeling needy/jealous. I was excited to read this book, as I really enjoyed the first one. Unfortunately I didn't find this as fun to read - mostly because I thought Gabe and Liv were both way too immature and sounded too similar. I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this advance reader copy and was not compensated in any way. I enjoyed the second installment of the Sons of the Sand books but not as much as the first one. I would give it a 3.5 overall rating. I was happy to read more of Gabe and Liv's story. There were some aspects of this story that I didn't really enjoy but that is more due to personal preferences rather than the plot or writing. I will continue to read more of this series as it comes out. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys YA paranormal reads. I loved getting back into the world of Liv and Gabe. Finding out the new obstacles getting in the way of them being happy really threw some eye openers into the mix. Kimberly is the Queen of throwing twists into her stories and I love how she does this especially with this series. I have no clue how Gabe and Liv are going to end up together or if they are even going to end up staying together, but I can't wait to continue their story and see everything that they get into. I loved getting back into the world of Liv and Gabe. Finding out the new obstacles getting in the way of them being happy really threw some eye openers into the mix. Liv and Gabe are in love but loving each other seems destined to fill their future with trauma. I absolutely love this authors ability to present so many mysterious twists and turns into a storyline. It truly makes me crave page after page! The romance, the dangers, the brilliant characters and creatures, every box gets checked in these tales! Let’s not even talk about the outcomes! I get blindsided most of the time, but that just stirs the desire for the next book even more!

A thrilling sequel! It was a crazy whirlwind of emotions. So many interesting twists and turns I never knew what was going to happen next! I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I will say I hated the cliff hanger ending though! Ah I need to know what happens next. I voluntarily reviewed an arc from the author.

This is the second book in the Sons of Sand series and it picks up right where the first book The Smoking Lamp left off at. How can you go wrong with a book that has Djinn, Jinn, Witches, Humans and Goddesses in it. There is plenty of action, suspense and romance throughout the book, which has an interweaving plot throughout. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book

I love everything Kim writes. This was equally as great. I love Gabe even more! In the first book Liv was this strong independent girl, but understandably so she becomes more timid and careful. Felt real. As always can’t wait for the next book Kim writes! Strongly recommend you to read this series! I received and ARC for an honest review

Kimberly has created a wonderful world of Jinn and witches. I loved reading the second book in the series, as Gabe and Liv try to fight n evil Djinn who is bend on revenge. Will they be able to stop him or will they be torn apart because of a secret about Liv. I am looking forward to reading book 3 and finding out what happens to Gabe and Liv.

A beautiful story Wow, This story just went from 100 to 500 on the drama and suspense meter and fast! There is so much story about Gabe and the other Jinn plus the goddesses and witches. The love story is beautiful and written so well, you can feel it. I loved the whole book and that ending demands I read the next .

This time its more of YA. The main thing is a relationship between Gabe and Liv. They seemed a Little childish to me. Still, as always this author created Great World. I hope in book 3 there will be more twists. Still enjoyable read.

Holy Smokes! This series keeps getting better and better! I was so disappointed when I reached the end, I really didn't want the book to end. I wanted it to keep going. I guess I just have to wait for the next one. Kimberly Loth, write faster! Holy Smokes! This series keeps getting better and better! I found it impossible to put down. Some secrets were revealed, even more questions are raised. Danger lurks around every corner. And of course, romance blooms. I cannot wait to find out what will happen in the next book
