( Format : audiobook ) "That d****d goblin!" After being soundly defeated following the betrayal of Tamina and the unknown avatar, Ryok and the Mitherfickers respawn even more determined to level up and travel to Polynya in search of Sophie and the Knights of Non Compos Mentis. As we follow them, the despicable, foul mouthed goblin, Hiccup, becomes even more repulsively funny, FeeTwix's adoring fans grow (and so does his income) and two more members join their Guild - much to the goblin's disgust. But they are being watched - and in the 'real' world of Tokyo, Kodai continues to plot against his younger brother. The hilarious journey continues in the Proxima World written with such enthusiasm by Harmon Cooper and read superlatively by Jeff Hays. Not only does each and every character have a distinct and individual voice, the narration is emotion filled and carries the story forward with excitement and frivolous fun. A terrific book in every way - great crazy characters, laugh out loud, if juvenile, humour, fantastic fights, visual imagery, intriguing story and a wonderful narration. What more could any S.F or fantasy fan desire? Definitely recommended.

Sophia, Doc, and Morning Assassin make their way into Polynya, Book Two of Fantasy Online. I know the crew quite well from Cooper's Feedback Loop series. Thus, it is fun to see the Proxima Galaxy (PG) all come together. Plus, Oric and Wolf (Last Warrior of Unigaea) join the fun. As with the majority of Cooper's domain, this story is character-driven, but has plenty of action sprinkled throughout. As with the majority of Cooper's domain, this story is character-driven, but has plenty of action sprinkled throughout. In the real world, Ryuk stands up to both his mother and his brother, Kodai, which may lead to some significant trouble. In the PG, Kodai continues to toy with Ryuk and the Mitherfickers. It isn't easy being a gansta...and it is a helluva lot harder being stuck in the Yakuza! In this installment, the Mitherfickers are coming into their own. They may bicker...constantly, but they have each other's six. As per the norm, there is plenty of pop-culture references (akin to Ready, Player One). 5 of 5 stars. ARC provided by author.

I absolutely loved this book! The Mitherfickers carrying on as only The Mitherfickers can. Okay, you know that I'm really talking about Hiccup, don't you? I giggled all the way through and wondered what goes through the brain of the person putting pen to paper. I can feel the fun he has, and that's why the reader enjoys this series, and Cooper's writing in general. Having said that, you'll go through every single emotion, believe me. These old and new characters are full, believable and exciting, and as much a part of me as the chalupa vs churro debate. Do yourself a fickin' favour, pick up this well written series - the story is fabulous - and immerse yourself in the funny, action-packed pages. Sleep? Food? Who needs them? You should be very thankful that this book does not contain 'Smell'O'Rama' or you would be turning green! I was provided with an eARC which I voluntarily read and honestly reviewed.

I'm really enjoying this Fantasy Online series. I think it's Harmon's best so far. I really like that all of his LitRPGs are connected, but they are still different enough to be their own series. I also like the length of these books, they seem to be just right for this series. The story takes place right after the first book and progresses very nicely. Jeff Hays is as great as Luke Daniels and Jonathan Sleep. He does individual voices for each character just like Luke does for Magic 2.0 and Jonathan does for Critical failures. These narrators bring these books to life and this is how they should be read.

After the events of book 1, out guild is out for answers and looking for more danger, members in the good fight , and for some healing potions and lemon pepper flavoured ribs. The story kicks up a notch , the humour goes up 3 and the craziness goes up about 5 but its all good as we learn more about the motivations of our heroes enemies. Reading it would be funny but the voices, expressions and cheer showmanship may just be Jeff Hays best to date. This story boils down to something very simple. Bad parenting or lawnmower parents. You have two brothers who are spoiled and the laws that don't apply to them. One brother was kept in a bubble that was sheltered. He never really experienced conflict and challenges to help him grow. So he is surprised at every damn thing and doesn't take action in the real world. The other is just a two bit, out of control criminal and needs to be tossed in jail for a long time, no helping this kind of person he This story boils down to something very simple. Can't wait until the next oneAnother great book in this genre. I love this author. The characters are both funny and fun to get to know . By far my favorite has to be the outrageous goblin Hiccup. This story takes place in both the game and the real world. I Can't wait until the next oneAnother great book in this genre. DNF. Dialogue is immature. The characters can't seem to have a conversation without farting, talking about their dicks, or cracking a Trump joke. DNF. Dialogue is immature. The characters can't seem to have a conversation without farting, talking about their dicks, or cracking a Trump joke.

In this book, one of the secondary characters steals the show. I loved the way the story intertwined the real world and the gaming world. A fun read.

Polynya leaves off where Hyperborea ended. Ryuk and the Mitherfickers have been betrayed by one of their own. Not only do they have to solve the digital characters from Polynya entering into the human world, they also have to solve who is the doppelganger running around Polynya, setting Ryuk to take the fall. Back in the human world, Ryuk now faces his brother, Kodai's wrath for standing up to him. Kodai is getting started to take everything that Ryuk cares about. Back in the human world, Ryuk now faces his brother, Kodai's wrath for standing up to him. Kodai is getting started to take everything that Ryuk cares about. Oric and Wolf made their way to Polynya from Unigaea. As to how this is possible, listeners/readers are going to have to return to the Last Warrior of Unigaea to find out how some of the Unigaea characters made their way from one digital world to Polynya. The narrator Jeff Hays does a wonderful performance. I love his performance of Hiccup. Hiccup is (as acknowledge in the story) as a standard comic relief as a troll who loves to gamble, a player with women, foulmouth, and loyal to his teammates. I can't wait for the next installment of this series. I recommends listeners/readers to also follow the Last Warrior of Unigaea since both series run concurrently with each other. I was given this audiobook by the author. I have volunteered to write an unbiased review of this book. I was not compensated or influenced in any way of writing this review.
