The Seals Have Met Their Match Laura is a hard working single mother that doesn't let her disability get in her way. She is part of a task force going after human traffickers. The alpha unit gets assigned a murder case where they must work with a navy seal team to solve it. Joe is the head of the seal team and the tension between both teams is tense ( alpha unit is an all female task force and the seals are all men ). Alpha unit will have to show the seals that they are not to be messed with. Get The Seals Have Met Their Match Laura is a hard working single mother that doesn't let her disability get in her way. Joe is the head of the seal team and the tension between both teams is tense ( alpha unit is an all female task force and the seals are all men ). Alpha unit will have to show the seals that they are not to be messed with. Get in their way and the seals will get squashed. As they dig into the case both teams uncover dark secrets that affects them all. The relationship between Joe and Laura is not instantaneous. It's not light hearted with flowers and rainbows. It's more like a volcano, where it slowly builds up till it explodes. Joe is normally a bit it and quit it type of guy till he met Laura. There's something about her that brings out his protective instincts and the need to constantly be with her drives him wild. Laura has kept the world at arms length for a long time. With a family like she has no one can blame her. They are constantly belittling her about her appearance, her job and her sweet son Cody. With family like this she didn't need enemies. The only ones that truly care about her is her brother Dominick and her team mates. When Joe comes along she didn't trust him right away. He has to earn her trust and worm his way through her defences and into her heart. Joe is an alpha and his first reaction it to protect. Laura is his equal and wants to be treated as such. He has a battle between his head and his heart. All he knows is that if he loses her, he loses everything.

DNF. I’ve liked other works by this author, but I got to about 50% in this story and realized I was skimming. The writing is almost naive in places, the bad guys are so disgustingly obviously evil I was mentally expecting the Muahaha of evil laughter, not to mention the dialog. The h was so perfect, so good at her job, so nice to her nasty nasty parents and sister, and her darling son was so sweet in the face of horrible verbal abuse from the H‘s ex because he wears glasses and has freckles..... Then there is that the verbal bashing of women by all the baddies associates and even her parents was just too over the top and honestly when the abuse inflicted on a younger Russel is described, and the explanation on what went on back then AND no one called child services.... I just couldn’t read any more. Like I said I enjoyed other works by this author, so while this didn’t fit me I’ll be reading more of her works.

I'm not really sure what I just read. Aside from the typo's... it was weirdly written. Incredibly long and convoluted sentences. The story was hard to follow - so many characters. And how the hell did the 'baddies' manage to maintain what they were doing for so long? Really? I understand that like attracts alike... but this was all too conveniently wrapped up. Somehow I managed to read it all backwards, did not matter, I loved the books and the characters in them, be they new to me or old friends. The story was great and all the characters were even better, even though I did not read them in the order they came out. One Thing I will admit to am not wild about woman being the main characters but these gals were something, loved them and loved Laura 'Red' Pratt as she made it through a world dominated by men and some major Alphas, to even find her own Al Somehow I managed to read it all backwards, did not matter, I loved the books and the characters in them, be they new to me or old friends. Joe 'Highlander' MacCleod is a SEAL to the bone. And what a Alpha he is, but their chemistry is off the charts and heck I would loose it too around one like him.

Joe & Laura I absolutely loved this book!! It’s the first book in the Guardians of Hope Series, which I’ll be downloading the next book as soon as I’m done writing this review. I loved the chemistry between Laura and Joe, the banter and laughs between the team members, the fight between good and evil, and the steaminess of the sex scenes. Since I am hearing impaired myself, I especially loved seeing a [email protected]** deaf heroine. Joe & Laura I absolutely loved this book!! Good read Joe met Laura when his deal team was asked to assist Alpha team to prove that a Marine was innocent of murder. Joe had been dating a woman that everyone didn't like. But when he kissed Laura for the first time LeAnn got kicked to the curb. Laura was used to working with human trafficking so this assignment was something new. Working with the seals was a lot different, especially because Joe was so good looking.

Holy smokes must read. Wow this is absolutely one of the best books I have read in awhile. Its action packed and has mystery to it and of course romance and steamy sex scenes and it's got alot of joking around and found myself laughing out loud. I cant wait for more of these characters.

5 stars for Angek of Hortor by KD Michaels I got this title because of KD Michaels writing in Susan Stoker's Kindle World. She did not disappoint. An excellent read and a must read as this is the start of a delectable series. Love the camaraderie between all the players. Hot hot alpha seal and strong lady love. Can't wait for the next instalment.

Fair This book was okay it had lots of sex didn't have much romance and it did have action! I had a hard time with parents selling and raping their own children. I guess I'm a romantic not a realistic!

This book rocks!!!! An all women team working with a Seals team. The quirkiness keeps you on the edge along with the seriousness of the story. It kept me the edge all the through. I hope you love it as much as I did!!!!

Intense This was a well written story. It has a lot of emotional action. The characters are complex. Some great back and forth humor that breaks up the dark theme.

Twisty Turny I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters in this book. The grammar, missing or repeated words and punctuation left something to be desired though.

Angel of Horror...Wow!!! Take seven Navy Seals and seven specially trained detectives off the Human Trafficking task force and you have a criminals worse nightmare. This book will amaze you with its ability to surprise it's readers. Michael's takes you on an rollercoaster ride with dirty cops and judges, kidnapping and selling of woman and men as sex slaves to be sold over and over again. The masterful way the author keeps this story as intense and explicit will keep readers coming back for more. Angel of Horror...Wow!!!
