Doing so would be considered “unethical” and “a fireable offense.” Lucky for you, ethics was never my strong suit. After spending years trying to spice up my sex life, I gave up and took to my journal. Perhaps my gorgeous, cold, number crunching husband simply wasn’t capable of the kind of passion I’d come to expect. After all, my ex-boyfriends—a tattoo artist turned U.S. Marine turned motorcycle club outlaw, a baby-faced punk rocker out on parole, and a heavy-metal bass player—were every bit as tattooed and testosterone-fueled as the leading men in my favorite romance novels. If I couldn’t have that kind of passion again in real life, I could at least write about it. Right? Nobody had to know. It would be my little secret. Well, guess what? My husband read that shit. And guess what else? He upped his fucking game. Drunk with power and under the dubious advisement of my best friend and colleague, I began testing the limits—crafting journal entries specifically designed to manipulate Ken’s behavior. For the most part, he responded beautifully … except when he didn’t.

Super funny book that is supposedly autobiographical about a woman basically manipulating her husband for a wilder sex. Huh. Didn't even know Godzilla was married. Or a female. But, I guess it makes sense, I've had pms episodes where I've wanted to take out a city. BB writes a journal entry complaining about her husband being a dud in the sack and a few days later realizes that he read it because he suddenly came to life. Huh. Didn't even know Godzilla was married. Or a female. But, I guess it makes sense, I've had pms episodes where I've wanted to take out a city. BB writes a journal entry complaining about her husband being a dud in the sack and a few days later realizes that he read it because he suddenly came to life. This gave her the idea to keep writing to see if she could plant further sexy thoughts into his head. The results were hilarious and smutty. Smutlarious. When her hubs asks if she wants to try anything "new": (As in, new to him, obviously. For a sex act to be new to me it would require a stolen mascot uniform, twelve yards of rappelling cable, a handful of gerbils, and thirty CCs of vampire blood.) To prove her statement, we get to read stories of BB's past boyfriends, and if it wasn't so funny, it would be pretty tragic and sad. This girl was one of those lost teen girls who is desperate for attention and love. She dresses outrageously and acts promiscuously in order to get it. And, if she hadn't met her very-stable husband, she would have probably ended up a crack-whore in an alley somewhere. The funny thing is that later in the book, she acts like having sex on the beach is the craziest thing ever. And, she realizes sand will make you its bitch if you dare to try it. Each grain of sand is a little ninja that finds an uncomfortable place to hide in your body. So, I wasn't sure just how close to true her stories were sometimes. Still, she made me laugh, and it was very entertaining.

Is there a point to this? Why do I need to know who you dated in high school or why your husband feels inadequate? Don't misunderstand it's funny and all, but I'm just not excited nor do I care. 4.5 STARS [image error] I’m not sure this book would have hit as hard to my emotions if I had read it first. You see I read book two before doing this book. BB Easton delivers a fantastically, witty, memoir as she decides to finally get the type of sex life she desires, some compliments, and her name tattooed on her hot husband. The story is wickedly funny as she gets the big idea after she realizes her husband has been reading her journal. By writing fake entries about her past relationships which she calls the Subliminal Spousal Bibliotherapy aids in getting the change in behavior she’s dreamed of from her husband. ”…Super Private Journal That Ken Is Never, Never Allowed to Read Ever where I plant completely fabricated stories about my ex-boyfriends designed to inspire Ken to up his fucking game.” This was a refreshing, sexy, and fun read that I highly recommend. I’m assuming the line to be B.B.’s new best friend is a very long one!

She loves her husband Ken, but.....their sex life sucks. Ken, happened to sneak upon said journal and their sex life started to take on a whole new meaning! I really liked this story. It was funny and it really reminded me of one of my favorite memoirs by Chelsea Handler "Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea". BB was so open and honest! I found myself literally laughing out loud on more than one occasion. Whether you're married or not, it's universally acknowledged that the marriage institution is hard work! And it was so nice reading about her struggles with her husband and how her journaling helped them get to a new level in their relationship. I definitely would recommend this book! This was a light hearted, funny read, but it was interesting to see how BB and Ken's relationship would play out especially with his knowledge of her exes (and she does not sugarcoat what happened sexually with her exes). Every time I picked this book up to read it I felt like BB and I were besties, like she was sitting right next to me and I was right in on the action. Her writing is great (especially for a first time author) and I cannot wait for the other books in the series.

Thus came about the Subliminal Spousal Bibliotherapy - influencing Ken's behavior by feeding him embellished journal entries. I've been seeing authors loving this book so I was intrigued. And I haven't read a light, funny book for a while so the timing was perfect and I really did enjoy it. Ken only tells me he loves me whenever one of us is about to leave the house, and even then I think he’s just doing it to cover his bases in case one of us dies in a horrible car accident or something. The writing was entertaining and I like how the author was not afraid to make fun of herself. I have to say though, it kind of make me feel bad I wasn't that crazy ass when I was younger lol! Knight and I weren’t friends. We were just predator and prey. He’d been hunting me for over a year, and my dumb ass just fell right into his trap. Each one of BB's ex had their own charm but my favorite is definitely Knight. I love him from the beginning and I'm both excited and scared to read his book - considering what I already know from this book. I just want him to not... well you know if you read the book :p 44 Chapters About 4 Men is a highly entertaining memoir of a woman's dating life when she was younger and how it led to the love of her life. It would appeal to readers looking for a fresh, light, fun read. Standalone books in the series: For more reviews/reveals/giveaways visit:

I knew I was going to love this story from its introduction. If you've followed this author on any of her social media, you'll quickly realize that she writes the way she talks. It's real, it's honest, and it's incredibly endearing. I've come to adore this woman so much just from reading and hearing her words. Despite its embellishments, 44 Chapters was a memoir about the 4 most memorable men of BB's life. This story was pretty fatalistic in that we already know how it ends up. But the journey... y'all... Worth it! Obviously I loved Ken's character the most. He was the unlikely hero in BB's story, after a short lifetime of picking toads. Ken was the complete opposite of everyone and everything that BB took a shining too. He was clean cut, intelligent, ambitious, reserved, and responsible. Where were his tattoos? Piercings? Prior delinquencies? He was a 'good guy'. In fact, compared to those who preceded him, he was an absolutely awesome guy. First there was the skinhead who was nothing like any skinhead I've ever met or heard of. Bullied into a relationship, BB unfortunately learned the hard way the ugliness that was hiding inside him. Love turned to obsession, violence begat more violence, and she let him go before he could do real damage. Then there was the rebound. He was basically a handsome vagrant with bad teeth and ridiculous tattoos. The way BB described those tattoos had me doing everything possible not to piss my pants. Too freaking funny! Then there was the metal rock star. Now I was totally infatuated with this guy. Who could resist the emotional, sensitive, manly, beautiful soul of an artist this man turned out to be? I was a bit sorry to see him go. But nothing and no one outshone Ken. Regardless of the fact that he acted more like a robot than the human he appeared to be, he was perfection. I couldn't blame BB for wanting more, because a woman wants what she wants, but I did think that she got one of the best men out there from what I've read. Lucky woman!! I loved how this was phrased by journal entries and emails. It was different and I'm always a fan of the unique. I appreciated the honesty that bled from these pages even though the story was fictionalized. BB didn't color herself with an airbrush, hiding her flaws or mistakes. She embraced her humanity, split herself open, and allowed the reader to witness her misadventures and swim in her truth. The good, the bad, and the ugly were all laid bare and I don't think I could adore her more! Find me here: Blog | FB | Twitter | IG | Tumblr | Pinterest | BookBub

This. Book. Is. BRILLIANT. I mean... WOW. First of all, Easton's writing style blew me away. I was HOOKED from the very first word, sucked in by the very first paragraph, and by the end of the first chapter? Forget about getting anything else done in my life because all I could do was INHALE this book. The premise of this book is already fascinating in and of itself -- here's this woman, happily married but bored out of her mind, because her husband (or "husbot" as she likes to call him) lacks any inkling of passion and/or romance. His idea of a date is falling asleep together on the couch after renting a movie, and Easton does all the work (including initiation) when it comes to sex. I'm pretty sure at least 50% of married women can relate to the struggles depicted in Easton's memoir. So, what does she do? Well, she's happy, so she decides to just use her free time to write about some of her exes, to kind of live vicariously through those passionate times. All is fine and dandy -- until the husbot finds her journal. But does he get mad? Does he throw her out and demand a divorce? No. Instead... he LEARNS from it. He emulates what she loved about her first boyfriend, gives her some sexy time she's never had from him, and suddenly, the idea clicks into place. Use the journal to get Husbot to transform. So, yes, the premise was amazing. I was SO on board, because I knew hilarity (and probably failure) would ensue. But, it wasn't the premise that made this story as amazing as it was -- it was 100% the writing. Easton's prose was absolutely hypnotizing. It was smart, witty, HILARIOUS, and at times, packed a punch with so many feels I had to stop and just hold my Kindle for a second. Any woman who was a teenage girl in the 90s/2000s will identify with Easton's horrendous, yet hilarious, dating spells. Any mother will identify with her battle of guilt when getting busy in a non-traditional way once you've popped kids into the world. Any married woman will identify with her struggles (and successes) when it comes to "dating" after being with someone for a long, long time. And, honestly, any woman (or man) with a taste for smart humor will absolutely devour every word of Easton's like delicious little gummy bears of fun. This books is just... outstanding. An absolute must read. "I want to take him with me everywhere. I want us to live a hundred years and die at the same time. I want them to mix our cremated remains together, dump us into a river, and watch our mingled ashes swirl like coffee creamer all the way to the ocean. I want our souls (okay, my soul and his, whatever he has, operating system?) to find each other on the other side as soon as possible just so that we can fall in love and make more babies and do it all over again." This is my first time reading a book like this (a memoir/fictional piece of romance), and it's got me dying for more. Luckily, there are four other books in this series from BB Easton. I cannot WAIT to dive into the next one!

With carefully constructed entries that include a bit of fiction, BB is determined to reach her goals and reap the benefits. “Kenneth Easton had all the power, and he was using it to make me take control. As much as I didn’t appreciate being manipulated, I couldn’t deny how empowering it was to be the puppet master of this hunky, mysterious, real-life Ken doll.” From the beginning, the first person narrative made me laugh due to the ease of BB writing in such a self-deprecating manner. While there were times when she was ready to strangle Ken, it was balanced by the many good qualities he possesses. And getting to the place where BB could appreciate Ken’s strengths was based on her past boyfriends and their unique experiences together. “Whenever Knight told the story, he would always muse, “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight. It’s the size of the fight in the dog.” To discover whether BB was successful in her experiment, you’ll have to read the book, but she writes about her own insecurities and bad decisions with a certain honesty that is entertaining and relatable. 44 Chapters About 4 Men is a humorous and sexy read. This book was so original and refreshing. I couldn't put it down. I related to it so much! (The school years I mean...) this is easily the best read of 2016, I know its only January but it was THAT good. BB has to be my new best friend, I feel like she was the best friend I SHOULD have had in high school. I'm sure if we lived in the same town I would seen her at those stupid punk shows. This book was sort of a half and half experience for me. Some parts I enjoyed and some I didn’t. The writing is great and I was immediately taken with Ken the husband. Some parts were a little over the top but I liked the dynamic of BB and her men. I’m sure I’ll be reading the other books in the series.

4 Hilarious (not for everyone) but highly entertaining Stars I’ve seen this book floating around for some time now. I was kind of confused on what book to read first or how this one is different from the other books. So here’s what 44 Chapters about 4 Men is about, it’s 44 Chapters about 4 Men. LOL. I crack myself up. Okay so I’m not sure if this is a true story, I think it is, it’s probably fluffed up a little, but I’m okay with that. The author writes about the 4 men in her life that has made a 4 Hilarious (not for everyone) but highly entertaining Stars I’ve seen this book floating around for some time now. The author writes about the 4 men in her life that has made a difference in her life. One of them is her husband. This book is really great via Audio. The author writes in story-told format. So if you are like a dialogue whore like me, it’s very minimal, HOWEVER I gobble descriptive writing via audio so yay I win. The best thing about this book is the writing. The author writes REALLY REALLY REALLY well. It just flows, it’s effortless and it’s highly addictive to listen to. It doesn’t hurt that the narrator is amazing. Ramona Master made this book by narration. She can act, does excellent voice transitions and I 100% know I enjoyed this book a lot better because I listened to it by her. I said this book isn’t for everyone and it’s not. It’s not a romance book, it’s just a funny book about a young adult women rambling about her sexcapades. Did I mention this book is hot? I didn’t know it was smutty erotica, so bonus points for that. The book starts out with the author mentioning how she loves her husband except for the fact he is a cold fish during sex. It sounds worst than it is, but it’s the theme of the book. You really do feel for the husband, but then you also learn to love him because he truly is the right fit for her. BEFORE you get to the full husband’s story, you go through the ex’s, starting when she lost her V-Card at 15. It’s hard to hold an emotional tie to her ex’s because the stories are just told so quickly that you get to listen to the best parts and then that’s it. That is why I guess the author decided to write each Ex his story. I’m not sure if I can dive into those (only because I know 3 out of the 4 books will not end HEA) but I am curious to what else went on in her past relationships. To keep the story moving a little better, through out the book you get glimpses of her current life married, with two kids and is breastfeeding. I really liked this because it made her husband present throughout the book. Overall, it’s a very funny story. I wasn’t expecting any of it, but I’m glad I finally got around to knocking this book off my to-be-read list. Side note, I did stalk the author to see what she and her husband looked like on her facebook page (although the husband’s full face was never shown) they are a CUTE couple and it kind of makes me like the book a little more. Only because when she mentioned how handsome her husband is, well she’s correct on that front and wasn’t talk out of her ass (or at least by what I could see).

4.5 STARS!! I finally found the courage to ask myself the question I’d been running from since Kenneth motherfucking Easton came into my life. What if Ken’s not expressing his feelings for me because they’re just not there? I don't know what I was expecting when I went into this, but it sure wasn't what I got. I mean, this was a freebie that has been sitting on my Kindle for at least a year, if not more. There were so many reasons for me to love this story. I've always enjoyed stories that are tol 4.5 STARS!! I've always enjoyed stories that are told in an unconventional way, such as e-mails, interviews, or journal entries (which was the case in this one). I think the clean breaks sooth my ADHD-addled brain while the originality keeps me on my toes. I also love stories about misbehaving youths, and that's simply because they allow me to relive my glory days. AND, in the present day, the narrator is... you guessed it... the mother of two kids, one of which is under a year. She is breastfeeding, for fuck's sake. As the mother of a 6-week-old, I have never related more. Finally, not only am I currently breastfeeding a tiny human, but I am also homeschooling an 8-year-old due to a fucking pandemic... while my husband is out of work due to aforementioned pandemic. I needed something enjoyable and funny, a read that didn't take itself too seriously. THIS BOOK LITERALLY CHECKED EVERY SINGLE BOX, and you bet your ass I have already bought the next four books. Considering I just confessed that the only adult in the household able to work currently isn't, that should tell you A LOT about how much I liked this one. It took about three weeks for me to get past Ken’s lack of tattoos and emotional range, but once I finally realized how stupid I was over this guy, I knew it was time to do what I did best—spread my legs. The premise sounds complicated, but it's really not. Our narrator BB, who is a school psychologist, has been married to her husband Ken for about a decade. They have two kids and lead a very stable life. Ken is an accountant that treats BB very well, but he can be cold and emotionless at the best of times. Still, after dating only bad boys that broke her heart, BB loves the stability Ken provides her. That being said, as a reformed punk-rock partier, she still has that crazy streak. She loves Ken with all her heart- and yes, I truly believed that- but she wants to make him perfect. She keeps a journal on her laptop, and one night she figures out that Ken has read an entry about Knight, her first boyfriend from when she was fifteen. How does she figure it out? Because he does something out of character that she LOVES. That's when she (and her BFF) come up with an idea: why not write a made-up journal about all of her ex-boyfriends that addresses all of Ken's shortcomings and motivates him to fix them? This means we now have 2 journals, one catered to Ken reading it and one that is actually true. The romanticized version of these exes are always hot, sweet, and somewhat funny entries. But then we get to read the reality, and that's always downright sidesplittingly hilarious. So, really, this is a preview of the boys who gets the next four books: Knight (a skinhead who isn't racist Skin), Harley (AKA Ding-Dong, a stoner Speed), Hans (a bass player in a metal band Star), and Ken (her husband Suit). I loved all of them in their own way. I honestly don't even know if the books are based on the real or the fake version of these boys, and I don't think I care. I am confident BB belongs with Ken, so I just want to know what happens to all of them! Now I’m starving. Now I’m screaming at him from inside my head to make me feel something. Now I’m talking to my journal like some kind of imaginary friend. Now I’m fantasizing about my loser ex-boyfriends and devouring bad-boy romance novels like they’re my last meal. Alright, so since this is going on my favorites shelf, why not 5 stars? Even though it did have heart, it's clearly not winning a Nobel prize anytime in the near future. Also, while I didn't have any moral objections to what she was doing- it's a work of fiction, for fuck's sake- I did find her to be selfish at times. Also, there was something a bit confusing about the fact that she wanted her husband to be more like her exes. She even admitted that her marriage has lasted five times longer than any of her previous relationships. So... did she ever stop to think that maybe that was because Ken was different? And let's be honest- some of her expectations were downright ridiculous. But also, some of them... weren't. And in those moments, I found Ken to be the pain in the ass. It's not shocking that right now, I would sympathize with a postpartum working mother, but let's be honest- if a woman births two of your children, you should be rubbing her feet and paying her compliments monthly at the very least. Hormones are a fucking bitch, and they exist to turn molehills into mountains. If you know what she wants, fucking give it to her! I have zero doubt my husband would say the same thing. It keeps the peace in the house, and considering we're stuck inside for the foreseeable future, a fucking foot rub seems a small price to pay, am I right?! Anyway, I got off track there for a minute, but the point remains the same: if you're looking for a good time and you aren't easily offended, read this book ASAP! Complete and utter lack of passion aside, I still love the shit out of Kenneth Easton. In fact, he’s my all-time favorite person. I think I even like him more than our kids. (Honestly, what have those little shits done for me lately?) Ready for your world to be rocked? Here goes: And that’s when it occurred to me. Not ten minutes ago, that exact same nipple had been in the baby’s mouth. And a few years ago, it had been in my son’s mouth. So, this is what a family is, I thought. Just a houseful of people who’ve all sucked on your tits. And have also been inside your vagina.

44 Chapters About 4 Men is one of those books I picked up out of simple curiosity. I'd only read one memoir before and it was a hit. I'd only read one memoir before and it was a hit. Something about knowing the story in front of you belongs to the author- it's her life. Her true story. I find that fascinating and it peaks my interest all the more. Almost like I'm a trusted voyeur into her private life. In 44 Chapters, BB is a not-necessarily happily married mother of two. Six months post-partum, not feeling the sexiest with leaky boobs and curves that weren't there pre-baby. She can get past all that if her dearest hubby made her feel beautiful and sexy. But alas, such is not the case with Ken. Not a complimenter, not a sex God in the sack, and just rather all-around emotionally aloof. So BB writes to her journal all the things she wishes she could say to Ken without him getting offended. Until she realizes maybe that's the key- maybe he needs to THINK he's tapping into her secret stash of inner musings can she subliminally cause him to 'up his game.' Commence Subliminal Spousal Therapy in the laptop journal file folder titled Super Private Journal That Ken Is Never, Never Allowed to Read Ever. That'll keep him from peeking, right? One thing I picked up in blazing technicolor is that BB Easton is hilarious. She's the friend you want present at all your shindigs because she will inevitably be the first to finish your bottle of Pinot Grigio and get a serious case of diarrhea of the mouth hilarity. Her inner monologue is hilarious and she's the first to question her chance of "Mom of the Year" award. Awkward half-drunken car sex resulting in breast milk stains on one's spouse's shirt would be an example. Anyone that can laugh at herself the way she does is a thumbs up for me. Through BB's journal musings, BB hopes to subliminally cause boring, straight-laced Ken to up his game. From the brooding skinhead she dated back in high school that put her up on a pedestal no other man could reach, to the unemployed druggy that nicknamed her Lady and wanted to tattoo her initials on his skin, to the guy that simply rocks her world in the sack. Will Ken read about her past conquests and realize his game is seriously lame? 44 Chapters About 4 Men is mostly fun and comedic but below that surface lies a woman feeling seriously unappreciated or desired- in the bedroom or out. What starts out as an experiment into trying to subliminally change Ken for the better begins to succeed in some ways but not all. Does she put up or shut up? I'll leave it to you to find out....

I am undoubtedly convinced that you are, without an ounce of doubt, a menius. Just not in the field of psychiatry. Haha. I am nowhere near the marriage sphere but you bet I will pull something like this on my husband when confronted by a situation such as yours. Welp. I will now move on to binge-reading your other works. Starting with Skin.

Youll read about her teenage years and antics, but mostly about her search for love. But in reality it's all only about the fourth man, her husband Ken. I can't give you more without spoiling this amazing book, so I can only give you the recommendation. READ THIS BOOK! It's a must read for all romance lovers. Trust me, you'll love it ❤️

Loved!! Sexy and refreshingly funny. I heard so much about this book and picked it up when I was craving something different and light. "It’s a beautiful life Ken has given me, one filled with security and laughter and intelligent conversation and honeymoons in Paris and well-behaved children with long attention spans and cute noses and his-and-hers sinks and 401(k)s and well-manicured lawns. I just wish the orgasms matched the drapes, if you know what I mean." BB adores her husband Ken but things have gotten a little .... quiet. BB discovers that Ken may have secretly read parts of her journal, and when he does, things get MUCH spicier and hotter between them. Thrilled with Ken's newfound interest in sex, BB decides to embellish the stories of her past boyfriends. The writing is absolutely charming and hilarious, written as if BB was talking to a best friend. I was really hoping for Ken to wake up and take an interest in his marriage because it was obvious they had amazing chemistry together. What he does have is a Captain America–style square jaw with a subtle cleft and a permanent five o’clock shadow. He also has enviously high cheekbones. His aqua-blue eyes are hooded by long espresso-colored lashes, and his sandy-brown hair is just long enough on top to allow for a good grip. His physique is lean yet muscular. His sense of humor is dry. He is brilliant and self-deprecating, and he has the ability to skip rocks across any body of water (a secret turn-on of mine). This book is best enjoyed with glass or two of wine. I can't believe this is BB Easton's debut book! Each of her past boyfriends was charming, dangerous, sweet and sexy in their own way. I loved the descriptions of teenage first love and the '80s references were priceless. BB Easton is nothing if not brutally honest. Her descriptions of married life and babies are spot-on. Everyone can relate to this story! BB spends much of the book hoping that her straight-laced husband will get her name visibly tattooed somewhere on his body. And she just wants him to be a little more aggressive. She doesn't think she is asking for too much! I want to take him with me everywhere. I want us to live a hundred years and die at the same time. I want them to mix our cremated remains together, dump us into a river, and watch our mingled ashes swirl like coffee creamer all the way to the ocean. I want our souls (okay, my soul and his, whatever he has, operating system?) to find each other on the other side as soon as possible just so that we can fall in love and make more babies and do it all over again. I just also want him to f*ck my brains out. This is a very funny book, written with great sensitivity and a sharp eye for detail. BB Easton has already written the next book in this series which is about her boyfriend Knight. What a character!! I can't wait to read his story, 'Skin.' I was pleasantly surprised by this wild and crazy story! After reading this, I feel like BB Easton is an old friend. I love her writing style! Pick up this book if you're in the mood for a funny, very raunchy story.

To those girls who have been on a night out with your besties, thrown back a few bevvies and giggled and snorted with laughter and had a right good night whilst swapping stories about the men in your lives or the men in your past, then THIS book will have you giggling in your wine glass and thinking….’hmmm that sounds familiar‘ because BB Easton has written a book will surely resonate with a lot of you, as it did us. ‘Tattooed bad boys are like a drug I can’t quit. I devour antihero romance novels like they’re an essential food group…………..My DVR is brimming with mysterious vampires, renegade bikers, hedonistic rock stars, and zombie apocalypse survivors – alpha males into whose swollen, ink-covered arms I can run whenever things around here get a little too…domestic. ‘ It’s quirky a bit over the top, funny and relatable. Reading this book really is like sitting back with your mate and having a good laugh. BB is like one of our girls and it was a lot of fun catching up with her. This book blew away the cobwebs of a hectic week and was exactly what we needed. BB’s take on her past and the somewhat unorthodox ex’s in her life are the stuff entertaining stories are made of and BB Easton sure did entertain us. ‘If Ken would just have a fucking feeling once in a while, make a little eye contact, cup my face in his hands, press his forehead to mine, say something sweet – I’m not even looking for complete sentences. He can fucking tap, you are beautiful, into my ass in Morse code if it’s really that excruciating for him to express himself out loud.’ After 8 years and two children, marriage was feeling a little stale. BB needed reaffirmation from her emotionally staid, sports loving husband, she needed passion, she wanted her name tattooed across his heart and she needed her husband to compliment her all of his own free will. She concocts an idea to write a ‘secret’ journal and ‘hides’ on her computer so Ken can’t find it….but he really can find it. Well, you know what we mean….it’s unintentionally, intentionally meant for Ken, in an effort to jolt him into giving BB what she wants. And so, begins a journey into the ghosts of boyfriends past where BB recounts the wild sexploits, and the positive points she had with three boyfriends, Knight, Harley James and rocker Hans, to educate Ken. However, there is one journal for Ken’s benefit and one for the readers, the ‘honest’ account of what transpired differed from the one fed to Ken. It was offbeat and very funny at times, though could get a little confusing deciphering the ‘true’ account from the ‘Ken’s benefit’ account of the story, but it was all in good fun. The star of the book was undoubtedly Ken ‘asshole’ Eaton. His dry sense of humour, his subtlety’s and the way in which he handled the off the wall BB had us swooning…yep, even when he was wearing his trackies (or PJ’s whichever story you believe), wildly pleasing BB or quietly ignoring her hissy fits. We were putty in Ken’s hands! ‘My husband is a rock. Not as in, He’s so strong and supportive. I don’t know what I’d do without him. But more like, He’s so fucking cold I wonder if he still has a pulse.’ BB Easton is one funny lady. We couldn’t help but become swept up in her playful storytelling as she regaled us by baring her crazy soul, entertaining us with her sarky wit and allowing us an insight into her comical past and present with a wickedly amusing take on her marriage to her husbot. ‘…of course Ken loves the way I get hiccups every single day and how I manage to fuck up instant potatoes and I am perpetually five (ten) minutes late to everything, and the way I get really loud and inappropriate when I’m in uncomfortable social situations, and how I sometimes flip (or flick) him off when I’ve been drinking. Who wouldn’t? I’m adorable. ‘ Oh and sorry BB but we couldn’t help swooning and having impure thoughts about your husband. We hope that’s okay because we’re both kind of in love with Ken!! I went into this book as #teamknight, and while I still have a very large soft spot in my heart for him, in the end it's Ken whose banter made me laugh and he won me over with the effort he put into trying to give his wife what she wanted and needed as far as intimacy, which made me positively SWOON. There were some HOT scenes in here and they brought me back very vividly to my teens/early 20s. I will never look at honey, swimming pools, 50 Cent, or the common cold the same ever again Lol. This book was original, funny, and real and I loved it!

I may have been generous because I was thrilled to be done with this one! This was hours I can't get back, and trust me I have read some terrible things. I have clandestinely wormed my way into her bff circle, only she has to update her software to realise that. Until then, nobody tell her that in my imagination, we've spent hella time drinking peppermint schnapps by gallons and talking about our slutty days escapades !! I'm gushing, I know. this pink taco girl in Doc martens has just arrived like a tornado and scattered my tbr to smithereens. Smart as a whip, funny as a church boner, I can't believe I hadn't read her before. Finding her has been like discovering kryptonite or something. No worries "bestie", I'm on your books like bumblebees on honey🐝 It also didn’t help that Ken was as emotionally available as a tomato. The man wouldn’t know a feeling if it dry-humped his leg. Skeletor, Ding-Dong, Bless His Heart—those boys could feel…about a thousand different emotions an hour. Back to the book. The story as the title suggests, is of 4 men in BB's life. And each one is funnier and hopeless as the last, till the 4th steady and sensible one lands in her life and she nests. BB is a restless soul and after her escapades with skinhead, Hans, Penishead, she lands a Ken-doll. Here reality and fantasy clash. Husboner turns out to be a Husbot Ever the gentleman, Ken will lie on his back and allow me to have my way with him while he quietly engages in minimal and obligatory petting. An antithesis to her extrovert and impulsive nature, Ken is an investor & a planner of everything in life. Least spontaneous, his careful calculations kill her adventurous vibes a lot Kenneth Easton is a lawn-mowing, bill-paying, law-abiding, defensive-driving, trash-toting husbot—a cyborg built specifically to withstand seventy to eighty years of gale-force matrimony Till her bestie suggests writing a journal and she creates alter egos to jumpstart ken's flaccid libido to rocketerial strength. you need to start planting really exaggerated stories in there so that you can milk this shit for all it’s worth. Write a holy fucking grail of marital behavior modification techniques! Well she does get her gift but after too many misadventures due to miscommunication. To say it's hilarious account of a bored married woman is not wrong. In there somewhere also lies the eternal truth. Marriage is a whole different ball game than wedding. Priorities change and so do desires. There's routine and ennui, kinds and mommyhood, dimming sparks and desiribilities. I fell in love with Bumblebbee "crazy" BB. She's full of joie de vivre high on life trying to chase the high. Her men are just rest stops in her hilarious journey. #ProjectKenResurrection is a Go!!! I’m in. And I already have a list of target behaviors for progress monitoring: 1. The initiation of hot, steamy, passionate hair-pulling sex 2. The giving of compliments 3. The bestowment of a nickname 4. And the procurement of a motherfucking heart tattoo with my name on it I laughed and snorted and giggled and howled and rolled and tittered and cackled so hard THROUGHOUT THE BOOK. Every damn page! Every damn line! The...no. THE SMARTEST book I've read!! BB I bow to your meanius hilarity and adorable wit. Everybody MUST READ THIS BOOK ! Like you are lost in desert and this book is the last gallon of water! Devour and gobble and drink in all the words that will have you ROFLing like you're having a seizure !! Non stop, unending laughfest which is so sharp and intelligent, it's like Dave Chapelle of Booklandia Keenly observant and acutely analytical, it's a stimulating read for all 6 senses, and the 7th between the legs Spread the pages and lick the words ladies, like cunnilingus😁 6(0) Pink Taco stars #BookBistroBlogApproved Follow us on : FB - https://www.facebook.com/groups/BookB...
