*I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review.* Ohhhh, wooow. It was such a sweet story. I loved Christian, damn, how selfless he was. Such a charmer. And I really liked Derrick, how he couldn't understand the hold Christian had over him, confused about his sudden possessive tendencies. Such a fun story to read. Oh, Christian broke my heart, man. Just. But I'm glad to have had my happy ending. There were typos, oh yea, were there typos. But I'm ignoring them because I just adored the story. The fact that I stayed up waaay past my bedtime just because I could not put the book down is a clear-cut testament to how much I enjoyed it. (view spoiler)[Can we please have Sorell's (and Felix's?) story next??? They will make for an amazing story. (hide spoiler)]

4 stars. This is one of the many books that I've read on my kindle many times but was always so embarrassed to put on here. For whatever reason I let my fear of what other people might think stop me from posting what I want to read. I give no fucks now though so it's all good. Anyways, I really love this book. I've read it three times now and its just cuter and cuter each time I read it. The relationship between Derek and Christian is so adorable and I love the way it develops. This book is real 4 stars. This book is really short but the author does a fantastic job with the character development. Christian is a sweet, precious little cinnamon roll and Derek was hot. The banter between the two was great. Love this book and I definitely see myself re-reading it again. It's just so cute.

I enjoyed this one more than the first book in the series, I loved how it overlapped with the first book and we got to see what happened to Christian after he ran off from Finn and Luke, and also how he made his way back. I thought that the flow was a bit better than the first book as well, although I still think some things are still a bit vague and unexplained. I loved Christian and really loved getting to read his story.

Alpha wolf shifter rescues a human and he just can't let go The characters and plot of this mpreg shifter story were interesting, if not overly compelling. With relatively little heat, the focus was clearly the Alpha wolf and the (omega?) human, a story of fated mates trying to navigate their relationship, with pack politics, the complications of family, and male pregnancy all playing small but important roles. The writing was focused on the relationship, but their chemistry didn't zing for me. This also meant the potentially interesting hurdles and story developments (toning down a gruff personality, arranged engagements, mating heat) were short-shrifted. This makes for more of a decent, short, not overly complicated, mpreg shifter story, rather than an extremely compelling romance or heated romantica.

This was my first read of a Kiki Burrelli book and certainly won't be my last. Claiming Christian is a fast, enjoyable read. I didn't read this first in this series, Finding Finn, but will make sure to do so. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.

3.5 Stars Parts of this one I liked better than the last installment, but I guess I'm still frustrated with the "how" of it all still not being explained. In book 1 I kinda fussed about it and hand-waved it away because Luke had been a "lone" wolf for over a decade and was forced out of his pack before he had a chance to learn the legends/history. This time, Derrick has older family members - including a seemingly wise grandmother - who could give us the exposition but we only get a brief mention 3.5 Stars Parts of this one I liked better than the last installment, but I guess I'm still frustrated with the "how" of it all still not being explained. The next installment has Felix, a doctor, so I'm hoping that we'll finally get the biology lesson in book 3.

Don't trust anyone. Christian is so sweet and likable. I'm not surprised that most people wanted to know him, because he made them just feel so good. Derrick did kind of need to get over himself sometimes.

I must say, first off, that this is a series to be read in order, so if you have not read Finding Finn you are going to be lost. If you have read book one, then yay! If you have read book one, then yay! Because Christian gets his story and we find out what happened when he left. Christian held my heart in the first story and I'm so glad he gets his turn. In the first story, Christian meets up with Finn again after Finn being gone and they quickly become friends. One night, Christian helps Finn escape the clutches of a nut job of a pack leader and ends up a target himself. He's almost home when he is attacked. But thankfully he has someone to help him get free, Derrick. Christian confuses Derrick for a homeless man and accidentally stabs him when he gets too close. Trying to right the wrong he did, he helps Derrick back to his apartment to get him fixed up. Derrick immediately knows this is is mate and begins to do everything he can to get him to come home with him. Including some potent sex that ruins poor Christian for any other man. Christian is another one of those characters I can not help but adore. He is so giving and does everything he can to make people feel at ease. He is the one person you wish you could always have as a friend because you know he will always be there for you. Derrick sees these traits in him and wants his help to make him a better person. Derrick is the growly, standoffish, soon to be alpha that no one can get close to because of the way he holds himself. Christian being who he is makes Derrick want to strive to be more like him. Derrick wants people to like him too. Using this as a means to get him home, Derrick finally gets Christian there. But sweet Christian can only handle so much hatred and people trying to get at him. So he leaves. Derrick learns the hard way how much his mate truly means to him, but his pride almost causes him to miss out. Derrick has had to learn to compromise for his mate and for his pack and family. And Derrick's wolf is howling at him to get to his mate to claim and protect Christian they way they are meant to. Christian has to learn it's ok to trust his mate and to let himself be cared for. Both have had to let their pride go and it is a tough lesson to learn. As is for all of us. I'm off now to read book 3. I hope you guys enjoy this series as much as I am! If you have read these then you know who Sorrell is and it's his turn! Woohoo!

The Blogger Girls The end of book one in the Wolf Mates series, Finding Finn, set us up nicely for Christian’s story. Christian was one of Finn’s only friends and selflessly put himself in danger to help protect Finn. We left that book not knowing what happened to him, only that he’d disappeared and then some months later showed back up on Finn’s front door step with a belly full of pups. That is where I was expecting this book to pick up, but it did not. We left that book not knowing what happened to him, only that he’d disappeared and then some months later showed back up on Finn’s front door step with a belly full of pups. That is where I was expecting this book to pick up, but it did not. Instead, it made more sense to pick when Christian took off running for his life, and that’s what we got. Christian and Derrick’s story started out a little rough. These Alpha’s, both Luke (Finn’s mate) and Derrick, have some serious issues when it comes to being, how do I put it nicely, decent, kind, friendly? They really need a school for manners at the pack house because these guys are really lacking in the basics. Yea, yea, yea, they are alphas and can’t help it, blah, blah, blah, but it still wouldn’t hurt to have some interaction where they were acting like complete jerks. And I here I thought Luke was a total overbearing buffoon. Derrick took it to a whole other level. For a while I couldn’t even decide if I even liked him. Christian was basically told what to do, when to do it, and how to do it from jump street. I kept waiting for that to change but it really didn’t. At the same time, I never doubted his love and concern for Christian, just the way it occurred was kind of creepy at times. By the end, I was rooting for both of these knuckleheads. One was too kind the other was a bull dozer. But they both have their reasons, and they were valid, which made the forgiveness factor on my end easier to give. Now, I am looking forward to seeing what is up with Sorrell. In the meantime, I recommend this book and the series to everyone who loves a good shifter, mate, bonding and mpreg story. Overall Impression: I really liked it!

With each book in those series I fall more in love with the characters. It is such an amazing series that is for sure. And so far with each book comes a new set of issues for the main characters. The fact to the matter is whatever or whoever he is around and the face he is putting on at the time, Christian is still an all around nice guy who would do anything for anyone. And that is how he ended up being chased down by angry shifters trying to kidnap him. Christian was trying to help out Finn and act as decoy for Finn to get away and instead had landed himself in some serious hot water. The good thing is a stranger steps in right as he needs them and saves Christian. Derrick is not some ordinary man either. He is a wolf shifter who has a short personality when it comes to others. But when it comes to Christian he does not want to let him out of his sight. Neither realizes at the time that they are mates but as time goes on they figure it out. The problem is Derrick is not exactly free. He is engaged and even though he is gay the engagement is a necessity. So what do two men do when they cannot help but want to be together but at the same time if they are then a died between Derricks pack and another could ensure death of many if Derrick does not marry who he is engaged too? This was such an exciting read and I love the chemistry between Derrick and Christian. What I love most about these books is they are not boring in the least. They are action packed and adventurous. But I also love how Kiki makes sure to get your attention at the end of each book to where the next in the series is concerned. Can't wait to start the next book. Was given this galley copy for free for an open and honest review

I absolutely love this series and these characters. It was cool to see the dynamic of a new pack and how they change to keep up with the changing times. Also, I loved the characters. As well as him bringing out Christian sassy side. Honestly, I have some experience with a relationship like theirs. I was the too nice one and my significant other didn't give a crap how other people felt. Now we are somewhere oddly in the middle with me having more sass than he would like with him but still nice to everyone and him pretending to care about other people to make me happy. I loved the connection it gave me to the characters. Now I must read the others!

Wow, never seen anyone that can simultaneously be liked by everyone, and yet is so unsure of himself. Poor Christian seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He helps his college friend Finn with a very important thing and gets hunted down by 3 werewolves. It's very lucky that Derrick was there. The book had a few unexpected twists and turns that made this a better book, but some of Derrick's behaviors were very confusing. Regardless, I am continuing to read the series.

Very fun I absolutely loved how Christian had decided that he knew everything about Derrick when they first met and would let him tell Christian that he was neither homeless nor poor. The one thing that I found confusing is, even if he only heard about true matings as myths and legends, wouldn't the fact that he knotted and felt compelled to give a claiming bite to Christian have clued him in just a little bit?

Derrick is trying to run from an arranged marriage, when a young man comes running past him trying to escape the three men following him. Derrick quickly realizes that the young man is in danger and decides to help. Derrick soon realizes that this young man may just be his true mate. I think that Christian and Derrick were good for each other. I enjoyed this one much more than the first book in the series.

I skimmed this book as it was so similar to others in this series and not interesting to me. Werewolves try to take possession of human theybsee as potential mate. Typos: the usual with this author. Comma misuse, poorly constructed sentences, mixup of homophones and similar words. I'm done with this author.

When these two met I could tell that they were going to have some bumps and curves. Everything from their personalities to how they met shows this. What I really loved was how even while I was riveted by the plot I was getting excited for the stories to come. And yes this is another book that had its review go missing.

Having sex with someone your body wants, but *you* don't want isn't consent. Keeping someone locked in a cabin and not allowing them to leave is actually abuse. I kept reading hoping that at some point they would grow. Learn. Stop being abusive. The worst part was they just end up together. In this messed up relationship where they need each other so they call it love.

Strong start, but a weak and confusing finish. I realize the end of this story is supposed to be the lead in to the next one but it really felt like a stretch to make it work. I just didn't buy Christian and Derrick's relationship at the end. It just seemed unbelievable.
