Contains 14 Bonus Novellas. A Single Year - an interesting story showing the highs and lows of living in the wilds of Alaska, the weather, the animals and the food; add in a touch of romance for the two cousins and you have a complete book in a short story. Bonus Books: Transforming Jude by J L Starr - Judith dresses in her fifteen year old son’s clothes (not sure how as they are different shapes) and her boss, tired of seeing her dressed in cartoon t-shirts, enters her into the office raffle for a Contains 14 Bonus Novellas. Bonus Books: Transforming Jude by J L Starr - Judith dresses in her fifteen year old son’s clothes (not sure how as they are different shapes) and her boss, tired of seeing her dressed in cartoon t-shirts, enters her into the office raffle for a makeover and magazine spread. Predictably the results are stunning but the man she likes still likes her for the person she is. Any Blooming Thing by Marisa Logan - When Jess catches a glimpse of her high school crush outside her flower shop all her old feelings rush back. But he broke her heart once before, will he do so again? Wherever Love Takes Me (Any Blooming Thing Bk 2) by Marisa Logan - this story feels like one chapter of a book and is in fact continued in the next novella. Chleo Matthews has been going through a dry spell but that looks set to end when her employee Pete gives her a kitten and she meets the handsome local vet. Crazy Sweet Love (Any Blooming Thing Bk 3) by Marisa Logan - Chleo meets Arjun’s mother and ticks some items off her bucket list. Ends abruptly. Trusting Your Heart (Any Blooming Thing Bk 4) by Marisa Logan - Shy science teacher Stanley meets vibrant art teacher Helena at a school fair, rescues her from a jerk and starts a restrained relationship with her. The Nanny’s Secret by J L Starr - a sweet romance involving a widower, his daughter and a college student who is their live-in nanny. My Chance by J L Starr - a grandmother’s will is they key to healing estranged siblings. A Single Year in the Bush tells the story of jilted Lauren Conrad, a magazine writer from Boston and her adventure of living a year in the Alaska Bush far from civilization. She thought she would only have bears, wolves and moose and take a year off men. Little did she know she would meet several very sexy and desirable men living so far from civilization. Amber her adventurous cousin and best friend talks her into homestead sitting for a couple to go to Iceland to study caribou and compare them A Single Year in the Bush tells the story of jilted Lauren Conrad, a magazine writer from Boston and her adventure of living a year in the Alaska Bush far from civilization. Amber her adventurous cousin and best friend talks her into homestead sitting for a couple to go to Iceland to study caribou and compare them to the ones they study at home in Alaska. The setting and adventures are realistic for Alaska (I know I have been there three times) and the romance is sweet for both girls and they make their dreams come true with Grandma in attendance to enjoy the fun with them and the rest of the family. I purchased A Single Year in the Bush as part of an anthology.

I didn't love this story. The writing was only decent. The plot was not well planned; it was really a string of vignettes about living in Alaska with a couple of hasty romances thrown in. There wasn't much character development, and the whole Amber subplot was distracting from Lauren's story. And for the love of everything, learn how to make proper nouns plural without trying to use an apostrophe! They are the Dornans, not the Dornan's. I hate that. I really loved this fast paced action adventure. It was great to read about the beautiful state of Alaska. I loved the two cousins that reunited and became fast friends again. Great story but Four stars because even though this was a clean action story it was labeled as Christian on Amazon. I don't know where that came from as they don't mention God once.

Good story... But It has the makings of great book, but middle to end was a big flop. I believe the writer was in a hurry to finish this book. I would love to read this book again with a better ending

Ok This story had great potential that fell rather flat. Story was very disjointed and characters and relationships not well developed to be believable. For being in Alaska for a year, it was the fastest most uninteresting year possible. Sorry.
