The main characters, Marlee and Jett were very well developed. The Christian aspect to this romance was very uplifting and the storyline was unpredictable and had lots of humorous moments. Marlee was faced with lots of challenges and proved to herself that she could step up when necessary and was capable of much more with God's help. Love on the Range captured my heart from the first couple of chapters and I couldn't wait to see what was coming next. Fun debut! A contemporary novel that made me feel like I was on vacation at a dude ranch complete with trail rides, a chuck wagon, laughs, and clean romance. The descriptions of the heroine's recipe creations as a chef made my mouth water. I loved that the author had a link to a free recipe and a bonus scene. I feel certain readers of Love Inspired books will enjoy this new author.

I really enjoyed the story. The comparisons between the scenery and food was well done. I look forward to reading more by this author. The characters grew in the story and they lived out their faith in God. I received a copy of the book in return for an honest review.

Love on the Range, written by Rebecca Nightsong, is the first book I've read by this author and hopefully not the last! I found this book to be a delightful read. Jett, he's just a good looking cowpoke who has the responsibilities of the Paycoach family ranch on his shoulders. They've had to deal with extreme situations and he's the only one available to be working the ranch full time. Jett was my favorite character...what a dreamy guy! I loved how Nightsong was able to weave scripture throughout the book in ways that were encouraging to the situations of the characters, but applicable to the reader too.

Sweet, clean Romance For the most part I loved this book. The parts I didn't like referred to Marlee attending Culinary school. There wasn't a definite explanation as to why she decided she wanted to become a Chef. Yes, I understand she wasn't a good accountant, but there wasn't any reason to explain why she thought she would be a successful Chef. The end of the book was confusing...spoiler alert. How could Crazy Hoss be at the ranch with Jett & be at the train when she boarded..? If the Paycoach Sweet, clean Romance For the most part I loved this book. Then the possibility of them losing the ranch too?? Some parts just didn't make sense.

A delightfully wonderful taste into romance! I really loved this Christian romance story. I too have burnt food in a campfire and know it is hard to not do that. This is my first story from Nightsong. I enjoyed the setting and characters. Jett and Marlee sizzle like bacon on a hot griddle, meaning they have chemistry from the get-go and it's cleanly done! Love on the Range is a sweet short story, just enough to whet my appetite for more from this author! I was given a copy of this story in electronic form from the author. No review was required. No compensation received.

Loved this story This was the first book I have read from this author. When I first started reading I wasn’t too sure. By the end the first chapter I was hooked. This story was funny, entertaining, well-written with great characters. It also takes the reader on quite an adventure. I can’t wait to read another one of her stories. I can’t recommend it enough.

Sweet romance about a chef and a cowboy. The chef is forced on a cattle drive and has no clue how to cook with a dutch oven. No sex, no profanity. Lighthearted and enjoyable with a good storyline. A nice read.

This book was very cobbled together. A little difficult to read. I can't believe it took three days to show her how to use a Dutch oven.

There were things that made this a 5 star read for me and other places where it was more of a 4 star. I loved the scenes from the old west from the train to the wagon. I found this to be humorous and at times chuckled. I enjoyed the fact this was a sweet heartwarming clean Christian read for those times when you do not want anything heavy just wanting to relax with a good story. I found the baiting back and forward between Marlee and Jett to be delightful. I enjoyed the fact this was a sweet heartwarming clean Christian read for those times when you do not want anything heavy just wanting to relax with a good story. I found the baiting back and forward between Marlee and Jett to be delightful. From the moment she steps off the train she starts out on the wrong foot with not much changing as she takes on her new job which is rather confusing for her. When she finds out what all it entitles she is at a loss for words saying no way not happening. Of course if she doesn’t take on the job there would be no story that would be a shame since it really has a wonderful plot. I loved her knifes they bought many hours of entertainment. Marlee is a chef but her training has not prepared her for her new job. She fines cooking on an open fire totally different from cooking on a stove. Once the trail ride is over I am sure she will be hugging and kissing her stove never to leave it again. Marlee is a wonderful sweet character she isn’t a quitter she gives it her all and then some. She isn’t one to let the grass grow under her feet or complain. She steps up takes action even if it gets her in over her head. There are times when things get to be too much and she needs to regroup but it doesn’t take long for her to bounce back giving it another try. Jett has a lot on his plate taking over the full running of the ranch with the owner trying to take care of his family with one dead and another in the hospital at deaths door he just cannot cope with life leaving Jett to take over. Jett is trying his best to do the job when Marlee comes along he just shakes his head trying to make the best of the green horn. He is sure in for some very trying times as Marlee keeps him on his toes. I truly loved this story I just did not feel the chemistry between the two as much as I would have liked. I would have liked to have known more of the owner’s background as well as more about what happen to the rustlers. At times I thought it moved a little slow just as I was getting ready to put it up for the night the author hooked me with some action packed that had me turning the pages. Since this is a series maybe some of the questions will be explained later on but I just felt like there was not any closure. I did love the ending which at one point was heart breaking and then took off with a scene that will leave you smiling. The letter Jett wrote I found very touching and very emotional but I just didn’t feel that emotion as much when they were together. I enjoyed them getting to know each other, watching their love grow and the matchmakers are very humorous keeping things moving right along. You will be so surprised when something happens that puts some major action into the read. There is a lot more to Marlee than the eye can see, she is full of many surprises. I thought for the most part this story was well written I would have like a little more information. I had no trouble picturing the things that happen in my mind which added more humor to it. I would have loved to have seen the cowboys faces a time or two. The story held my interest keeping me hook that I do want to read the next in this series. This looks to be a very promising series with some wonderful reading. I really enjoyed all the characters they add so much to the story even when they put their foot in their mouth. I hope you will give this new author a try I think most will enjoy this clean funny read with some serious messages for the reader.

Very good humor and romance and both main characters growing. I almost hurt for Marlee thrown into the cattle drive totally unprepared. Jett also taking over running the ranch unprepared and having to deal with that and his grief. Showing his changing opinion of Marlee was great and the surprise of her rescue of Jet t made this one of my favorite books. Hope to find more on this series soon!
