Terrorble! If you like terror, then Michael Brays Box of Terror is the Boxset for you. A ton of perfect horror stories that are scary enough and short enough to read in one sitting. Milk will leave you thinking.
Keith Norman –
Great collection. First two stories are the best. One blood thirsty, the second creepy as hell and both full of suspense and fear. Loved it.

Box of Terror contains four stories. The first one immediately drew me in. I liked the writing and the content was interesting - a man finds himself inside a supermarket that sells a different assortment of food than other supermarkets and it was too late to escape the second he entered the store but he will stop at nothing to return to his family. Then I found the story dragged on and I wasn't as invested as I was at the first, but overall this one was good. The second story started off good, I Box of Terror contains four stories. The second story started off good, I liked the concept - a family has just moved to the middle of nowhere and they keep losing their power and the man stays and waits for the repairman while his wife and child go to stay with her mother before it gets dark. But then the author started to lose me with those made up words and I also found this one too long. I did not like the third story - a man hides himself away from the world and is obsessed with numbers. In no way did this one interest me. I did like the fourth story - a boy is excited to start school again after the summer, hoping the school bully will leave him alone but he doesn't and the boy wants revenge. So overall not a bad read for me but it wasn't great either.

This was my first encounter with Michael Bray and I just loved everything about this box set! The stories had some kind of 80’s B-movie feel to them without being ridiculous or campy at all. They felt fresh and fun and were exciting and macabre at the same time! They made me feel like a fascinated kid again. The monsters were fantastically imaginative and out there, but it all worked wonderfully because the writing is so superb! Looking forward to my next read!

A great little collection of short horror stories, the four tales in this box set are very diverse. "Meat" gives us a neat twist on a vampire story, with an ending I didn't see coming. "Something In The Dark" is a riff on the stranger-in-house story. "Apartment 11" is a cerebral look inside the mind of a shut-in. And "Milk" takes us into the life of a bullied child looking to make things right. The first two are fantastic, the last is very good. The third didn't strike an any particular note wit A great little collection of short horror stories, the four tales in this box set are very diverse. Box of Terror was my first time reading anything by Michael Bray. The first story, Meat, is an interesting take on vampires. Mister Bray's descriptions are usually pretty good, but his dialogue comes off as clunky and rather unrealistic at times. That is an issue that extends to the other three stories as well. Coupled with a handful of syntax errors and a lot of superfluous, repetitive lines, Box of Terror seems mostly in need of a good editor. This Box of Terror by Michael Bray is a collection of four short stories, each of which is original in its own right. Bray has created tales that keep the reader in suspense until the last page. The author's writing style seemed a little minimalistic compared to some of the horror heavyweights, but the storylines kept me engrossed. The action was nicely paced, and the characters were fun getting to know. All in all, a fun little read. Great Stories I absolutely loved this set of stories. Just the right amount of terror and gore. If you have a weak stomach, then these stories may not be for you. For me, these stories, especially the first one, reminded of Stephen King. I was pulled in from the very beginning. They are very well written and will definitely haunt me for awhile. I highly recommend.

Great read! I loved how each story started out. Didn't take forever to get to what's happening. I have to say out of all the stories, my favorite was "Meat" Great read!
