Wow......Loved it !! 5 "opposites attract" stars from me :) I've read book 1 a while ago, so I already know who Cade was. He was quite the asshole in book 1, but what can I say.....I love redeemable assholes !! For those book who haven't read 1, this can be read as a stand alone. I enjoyed reading the first book though, just not as much as I did this one ! Cade has been the drummer for 7's Mistress for 15 years. I enjoyed reading the first book though, just not as much as I did this one ! Cade has been the drummer for 7's Mistress for 15 years. He has also been in love with his best friend, the lead singer, for just as long. They had a sort of friends with benefits relationship together, eventhough for Cade, it was much more than that. Now his friend has found true love and Cade being a dick about it has pushed them apart (book 1). The band has broken up and Cade is looking for a new band to take him in. Shouldn't be hard since he's a worldfamous drummer. But before auditioning for other bands, he decides to throw himself a little pity party and ends up drunk in some bar in Nashville. Cade has always been bi, with a preference for men, and has never hidden who he is for anyone. Cade is also stinking rich. Not only because he's famous, but because he comes from money. It's in this Nashville bar he meets a hot bartender who will change his life. Mal is cowboy/bartender in Nashville. He has had a very hard time growing up and when his father found out he was gay, at 16....shit really hit the fan. Mal has been taking care of his mother, their farm and bar ever since. But the bills are piling up and Mal knows he's going to lose the land that has been in his mothers family for ages. Mal just doesn't know what to do anymore. He feels like a failure... Mal has always been gay, but after his father found out, he retreated into the closet and rarely goes to a gayclub out of town, to get off. Coming out is not on his agenda...not in the town he lives in. Then one night, a gorgeous man walks into his bar, who will turn his whole world upside down. I really enjoyed these two men together. They were both from such different worlds. The one thing they did have in common though, was that they were both alpha men...Which made for some very hot and steamy scenes !!! I also loved how Cade wanted to shelter and protect Mal and give him the world.....he just went about it the wrong way. I really enjoyed this one and I hope there will be a next book. I would love to read about Andy and Bryan !! the only complaint I do have about this book, is that I got irritated by how many times Tag (book 1) was mentioned. I liked his book, but to me, he wasn't all that special, I liked Cade much more !!

Rockstar Cade Cowboy Mal This had me rolling my eyes a bit in the beginning but it turned out fine. I was glad I didn't read the first installment cause Cade would've driven me crazy with his "Tag-this-Tag-that". Far too much comparisons with Cade's first love Tag for my taste!! I liked Cade's protectiveness. Although he had grown up with a silver spoon in his mouth, he wasn't an ass about it. He just liked to use his money to take care of his people. My tastes are simple tales of everyday people where authors really spend time on character building and relationship building. There needs to be some angst, and there needs to be a HEA. And, above all, there needs to be REALISM in my romance. That's the good stuff that I gravitate to, with little exception. What doesn't work for me is contrived drama. What doesn't work for me is soap opera bullshit. What doesn't work for me is cheese, cheese, and more cheese. And what doesn't work for me is too much sex when it seems like a filler for the actual relationship-building that the author should be doing instead. Gasp! Now wait - I am a perv and I want my smexy times aplenty - don't get me wrong. But not when the author can't be taxed to tell the damn story and build the damn relationship. And, so help me God, if I read the word "pucker" one more time, I was going to vomit. But I digress. This story had way too much unrealism for me. And way too much cheese. And way too much contrived, soap opera-esque drama. This book reminds me a lot of those that I've read in the past by Kindle Alexander and Felice Stephens. So if you like those authors, I would recommend this to you and your tastes. You will love the hell out of this. For me and my GR friends whose tastes that I know well, stay far, far away. You will thank me.

    * 4,5 stars* Not a secret that I love fairy tales in my books.I found out that this series is a modern fairy tales, you know, cheesy, eye rolling romantic, stubborn MC, and I enjoyed it. And a definite HEA added to that, I'm a happy girl. I never hated Cade in Tag's story, I dunno, I think Tag was a little douche let him hanging in the past. Of course he said no to Cade million times, but clingy Cade need a strong hand to make him go and forget his love for Tag. I know Cade is a clingy lover, but he's determined with his love when he love someone. That's what I like about him. And speaking about Mel, well, I think there were some points that I really wanted to slap him for his stubborn head. And I loved the dirty talk during sex between them. The sex alone, yeah, kinda made me wanna.(wink). The 'drama' was not as spectacular as Tag and Erik's story, but that's also a relieved for me to know that nobody's dead this time. LOL. The problem with Dwight was too easy to resolved I guess, that bastard need a hard lessons instead of let him free with Cade's money. Maybe that's why Mal felt uneasy, Cade's always resolved everything with his money. But again, he never been poor since he was in his mother's womb, so... I liked the epilogue.. Not too cheesy like Tag's, but a true HEA. I approved. I just hope there would be book #3. I will definitely read that. And thanks Mikky for the rec!

I wasn't aware this was the second part of the series when I started this book, I think it can be read as a standalone, but I won't go back to book 1 because a lot was given away in this installment. Ah, this was a wonderful book. Two very different men fall in love. Rockstar Cade is looking for a new band after his former band split up and cowboy, farmer and barkeeper Mal is fighting against old demons and new problems as the farm he lives with his (nearly) blind mother is in financial trouble. I really loved both heroes and also the little side love story (which had me teary at some points) the mother of Mal is encountering. The love story was really beautiful and I was really emotionally involved in the ups and downs of their story. I really enjoyed this book a lot, the sexy bits were sexy and the drama not too bad or ridiculous.

Someone new. Kincade Anderson was a world's well-known rock star and filthy rich. Malcolm Wilson was just a regular cowboy and dirty poor. Two guys with different backgrounds, but that didn't keep them arm's length. Mal put his fingers over Cade's lips silencing him. When Mal pulled at the hem of his t-shirt, Cade thought his cowboy wanted to have sex. That was until he saw the artwork in the middle of Mal's chest. His man had gotten ink. And not just any ink. A nautical star compass exactly like Cade's adorned the once pristine chest. Cade ran his fingers over the smooth surface. No scabbing. "How old is this?" "About three weeks. I got it right after I sent you my last text. Since the first day I met you, I knew I wanted you, but when you sent me the song I knew I'd do anything to keep you. You are my compass, and no matter which direction the needle points to, it will always lead to you." When I read that Mal was in the closet, I though there would be some kind of cowardice drama. Nope there wasn't but one time I was really pissed off at Mal for being a whiny ass but eventually he realized his mistake. This was a good read, Mal and Cade were perfect for each other.

You know when you finish a book and you just sit for a few minutes thinking, “Wow, that was a truly satisfying read!”? That was me when I finished Release Me. This was an all-around wonderful story with characters I loved, a well thought out and executed plot, a perfect blend of emotion, drama and heat…and an ending that put a huge smile on my face (even if the epilogue was a little sappy-it still had me grinning!). This was an all-around wonderful story with characters I loved, a well thought out and executed plot, a perfect blend of emotion, drama and heat…and an ending that put a huge smile on my face (even if the epilogue was a little sappy-it still had me grinning!). And even though there’s apparently some backstory to be found in the author’s book Deliver Me, Release Me can be read as a standalone—I haven’t read the other story and enjoyed this one just fine on its own…but you can be darn sure I’ve added Deliver Me to my TBR because if it’s as good as Release Me, I already know I’ll enjoy that one too. Oh, how I loved these characters. They’re opposites in so many ways, but still fit together like they’re made for each other. Both have alpha characteristics, while also having their own vulnerabilities that leave them each open to heartache. Cade thought he’d lost his love when his best friend and sometime lover Tag found someone else, and even though I gathered from the circumstances as Cade revealed them that he was a bit of an ass when all that happened, you could clearly see he was hurting. Mal never really has any time to find someone of his own due to his responsibilities with his farm, bar and taking care of his mother. The odds seem like they are against Mal and Cade coming together right from the start. The story progresses at a nice, natural pace with the relationship between Mal and Cade developing over time until it becoming like a fierce blaze between them. But there’s a secret that Cade hides from Mal, and we all know how secrets go…even when the best of intentions are behind them. Between the buildup, the time the two spend apart due to Cade being away working with a band, exposure of Cade’s secret, and the resolution of everything, there’s plenty of emotion and tension which kept me furiously flipping the pages trying to find out how everything turns out. I also want to mention the great supporting characters. They are all solid, well developed and do a great job of adding depth to the story. I’m hoping we’ll get to hear more about some of them (like Andy and Bryan) in a future book. I really loved this story, and give it 4.5 stars, and for me, Release Me is definite re-read material. I highly recommend this to M/M romance fans 18+ (for adult language and some hot and steamy M/M sexual content)…if this isn’t on your wish/TBR list already, it really needs to be!

Faith does it again For those of you who were floored by Deliver Me, the first book in the series, rest assure you will NOT be disappointed by Release Me. Cade Anderson was the drummer for 7's Mistress (coolest band name ever) who managed to make a complete mess of his life by the end of book one. I always felt that he needed a chance to redeem himself—well, he got it! Just so you know right up front, the former band members play no part in Release Me. I thought I'd miss Tag and company, but hones Faith does it again For those of you who were floored by Deliver Me, the first book in the series, rest assure you will NOT be disappointed by Release Me. Cade Anderson was the drummer for 7's Mistress (coolest band name ever) who managed to make a complete mess of his life by the end of book one. I always felt that he needed a chance to redeem himself—well, he got it! Just so you know right up front, the former band members play no part in Release Me. I thought I'd miss Tag and company, but honestly, Cade's story had so much to offer that it wouldn't have been fair to share him. Floundering and unsure of what to do with his future, Cade winds up in Nashville, auditioning for a couple of bands looking for a new drummer. Not even realizing that he's in Kentucky, he winds up in a bar drinking away his sorrows of what has become his pitiful life. He also can't take his eyes off the bartender. Keep in mind, this story takes place in a rural, honky tonk, bible-thumping, little old town where homosexual behavior is not tolerated and could cost anyone their life. I can't stress how lost and alone this big, gorgeous rock star is. My heart was aching for Cade. There was so much to learn about him—the more I did, I fell completely in love with him. Mal, the handsome bartender and target of Cade's desire, wound up saving Cade's butt after the bar closed and he was harassed by two local troublemakers. Mal invited him home as he was too drunk to drive—you know, a good guy showing him some Southern hospitality. So now we have a story about the rock star and the cowboy. Cade and Mal are so completely opposite: wealthy California rocker meets poor, cattle rancher who's on the verge of losing his farm, his bar, all that defines his life. Mal's story broke my heart—he is lost as well. Despite some of their differences, these two are extremely compatible physically and sexually. (Uh yeah, smokin hot really!). They enjoy one another's company immensely—Mal's mom treats Cade as her own. But why doesn't something seem right? There's just so much at stake for both men, but especially for Mal. Cade's money is the bane of Mal's being. Sometimes the best of intentions are the hardest to accept when pride stands in the way. If I had to choose the perfect scenario for Cade to reinvent himself and to show what a giving, beautiful person he is on the inside, this would have been it. The way Mal handled Cade's generosity irked me. Yes, he did take care of Mal's financial needs behind his back; it was done solely out of love and he never flaunted his money or behaved with an entitled attitude. Without going into any more detail of the story itself (I don't want to give it all away) I felt content that in the end, they wound up where they were supposed to be, and the epilogue was fun and sweet as well. I loved all the supporting characters—each one of them enriched this book with their own poignant stories. Faith Gibson is one of the best storytellers out there. Her books 'show' her readers what exactly is happening because of her painstaking attention to detail. Punctuation, grammar, and sentence structure were also spot on. Her chapters flowed with ease from one to the other so well that, at times, I didn't even realize I was in the middle of the next one. Another fabulous job by Faith Gibson. So happy Cade told us his story. Five drum-beatin' stars for me.

The MC's are likable and their love story is sweet. A lot of things could have made their journey more realistic and enjoyable for me. It's not realistic to me for life to always take the easy way and when stories do this, a lot of my interest wanes. So, I suppose it all depends on what you're looking for in your story. The writing is good but I'm not a rainbows and unicorns kind of reader. I like stories to surprise me with the unexpected and I love angst and deep emotion. This is a bit too fluffy for my taste. If you prefer the other end of the spectrum, this would more than likely be just what you're looking for. Happy reading all!

Both stories are definitely re-reads on my shelf. Release Me delivers the same attention to detail with in-depth characters that will win your heart within just a few pages. We met Cade, the drummer for 7’s Mistress, in Deliver Me and he was the epitome of selfishness and an overall jerk. He was positive that he loved Tag, his longtime best friend and sometimes lover, and that his love was reciprocated. When he found out otherwise, to say he handled it poorly would be a huge understatement. Release Me opens up with Cade being on a 3-month pity party trying to get over Tag which includes drinking himself into a stupor in a small redneck town outside of Tennessee. To be exact, Arlo, Kentucky, and I can tell you that this is most definitely redneck country. However, residing in this small town is a beautiful, yet damaged Mal Wilson, owner and operator, of the bar Cade is sitting in. Mal thought he caught a few looks his way from the sexy man in the corner who was keeping his head down and turning away every woman who approached. But, no one knows better than Mal, who wears a lesson of hate across his chest in the form of a massive scar that was intended to kill him, that keeping your sexuality so far in the closet is a necessity for survival in this part of the country. So he basically ignores Cade, but when he comes up on some guys trying to steal from Cade in the parking lot, he not only runs them off he offers Cade a place to stay and sleep off his drunkenness. Cade comes from a wealthy family and he doesn’t apologize for it. He likes having money, but he’s also earned what he has by working his butt off to be that well-known, kickass drummer, that travels the world. Music is in his blood, and lately, the only thing keeping him afloat. Waking up in a bedroom that, obviously, has not been remodeled in ever Cade knows he’s not in Kansas anymore. Mal is a nervous wreck and has questioned his judgment over and over about bringing Cade home. It’s been years since he has wanted someone as bad as he wants Cade. He’s never had a real boyfriend and the only one that even came close was his best friend Tyler over ten years ago. After being brutally attacked and left for dead when he was caught with his best friend years ago was enough to push Mal so far in the closet that his plans were to never come out again. But, Cade is turning him upside down and inside out and causing him to reevaluate his plan. — The sting of fingers breaching his hole replaced the pain of his past. Cade did what a responsible partner should do --- stretched him good, getting him ready for the hard cock that would soon be replacing his fingers. Tired of waiting, Mal said “Cade, fuck me now, or I’ll find someone who will.” The story takes off from here securing the readers interest and full attention. What was supposed to be a one-time encounter turns into a burning need from, both Mal and Cade. There’s no way anything could ever develop between them… is there? Cade and Mal are thinking the same things but not willing to share their thoughts with each other. At least, right now with miles separating them and a little problem called – Cade’s rich and Mal’s poor. These two realities don’t match up, at least in Mal’s mind. The author’s creativeness to weave a story will keep you turning page after page as fast as you can read. I love the way she instills so much humor and banter between Cade and Mal and once they realize that they have something special between them the hot factor escalates tremendously. They are hot and sexy together from their very first moment they touch, but their intensity continues to ramp each and every time they can’t keep their hands to themselves. I love Cade and Mal, both, but OMG... Cade has such a huge heart and it was incredible to witness his growing love for Mal. They don’t always agree, in fact, they disagree with each other quite a bit, and small white lies turn into huge issues that have the potential to destroy how far they’ve come. There are moments throughout the story that will break your heart, there are moments that you will be livid at the injustice of some people’s actions, and there will be many moments of fanning yourself because the sex is off the charts between the two. You will find yourself smiling from ear to ear and don’t be surprised if a “Hell yeah” comes flying out of your mouth causing people in your space to look up with questioning eyebrows, Lol. A highly recommended read that can standalone, but reading Deliver Me is a must, as well. Cade and Mal, both, have an abundance of character growth in this story, but they wouldn’t be who they are without the help of some pretty amazing secondary characters that bring Release Me to its full height of enjoyment. Fifteen years Cade thought he had it all including the love of his best friend. When the weight of that deception becomes too much for Cade he bails on everyone. Finding Mal will be his saving grace and the one person who can show Cade what true love means. I cannot recommend both books highly enough. The epilogue is worth 5 stars alone. ** Thanks to the promoter for providing a copy in exchange for an honest review **

Kincade “Cade” Anderson was the drummer and trouble maker in the rock band 7’s Mistress. 7’s Mistress is no more; Cade lost his friends and his way. Malcolm “Mal” Wilson is dirt poor bar owner and farmer in the closet so deep due to nearly being killed for his choices. He saves this drunken stranger at his bar one night. Neither is sure they want to share their secrets, but life can bring the unexpected just when you need it. Cade explains to Mal-- “I remember being sixteen. I thought I was grown back then, too. Now I know I wasn’t. I’m still learning shit about life, about me. Everyday I learn something new, and I know I have a lot more to learn.” Release Me is a journey of discovery for two men who just happen to cross paths, as it turns out, at the perfect time. The twist and angst in Release Me are wonderfully written; from the two very different life choices and experiences of the main characters and secondary character’s too. Again the secondary Characters are great and fun to get to know. I did not think it was possible to like Cade’s story after his high jinxes and trouble making in Deliver Me, but boy has Faith Gibson made a Cade fan out of me. I have a major Release Me book hangover and can not wait for the next story in this wonderful series. Thanks Faith Gibson & Good Writing

This is book 2 in the Music Within Me Series and I’ve got to say I love this book. Faith Gibson’s writing and story telling only gets better with each book. Cades story begins three months after the break up of the Band 7’s Mistress and Cade finds himself a drummer without a band. On a chance trip to a honky-tonk in BFE, Kentucky — Cade meets the sexy bar keeper Mal. Mal has no idea the man he’s been serving drinks to all night is a world famous (even infamous) drummer. He simply sees a man in need of kindness. As the story unfolds Cade learns of the trials Mal and his family have faced and realizes this is a man worth knowing. He uses every tool on his kit to give Mal a helping hand, from behind the scenes. When the two become more than friends the fear of Cades anonymous generosity lingers. In the end will their attraction for one another surpass their differences? Does Mal learn to accept Cades deception? Can Cade allow himself the future he wants with Mal? These are all questions to be answered within the pages of this stellar read. Once again, Author Faith Gibson delivers a love story that transcends labels. The theory Love Is Love exists in this book. Every emotion was extracted from me as I turned page to page and chapter to chapter. I defy anyone to not shed a tear, get tingly, yell at the pages or grab a fan to cool off as you read this tale of love with no end. I happily give this 5 Stars and urge all lovers of romance and good writing to one-click Release Me today.

Release Me is book 2 in The Music Within series, however I haven't read the first book in the series, so it most def can be read as a standalone as I don't feel like I missed anything by not reading it. Cade and Mal's journey to HEA wasn't pretty yet was so beautiful at the same time. They were both such very different people, Cade being a drummer to a popular rock band and Mal being your typical rancher cowboy, it was only suppose to be one night yet is one night ever really enough? I was hooked from the get go and really enjoyed reading all about their past stories, especially with the suspense factor featuring in with Mal. All the secondary characters have worked their way in to my hearts and I am intrigued to see whether this series carries on based around some guys at the ranch. A few things stood out to me on more of the negative side.. one being how Mal acted once finding the truth about Cade - it seemed totally diva-ish and not really necessary, and the other thing was how quickly Mal's problem with his father disappeared considering he was an underlining factor to the story line throughout... a little more drama surrounding him and this story would of been most def catapulted more to the 5 star rating.

Faith is an amazing author!!! This is not the first book I've read by this author and certainly will not be the last. Coming from two completely different worlds, Cade born with a silver spoon in his mouth and Mal being born dirt poor, will they ever overcome their obstacles standing in the way of love? Great continuation of Deliver Me. Can't wait for this series to continue. I would highly recommend this book!!!

This book is seriously hot and filled with sexy rock stars, hot cowboys and even some sweet ex marines. The book just flowed and both lead characters were really good guys that I fell for instantly. It's very well written and I'm left hoping for a sequel because so many of the supporting characters deserve their stories told as well and yes I wouldn't mind a little more Cade and Mal sexiness ;-) This is a 5+ star read and I'll be recommending this book to all that love m/m romance <3 I received an ARC in return for an honest review:-)

I loved it, it was really good and hit me in the heart. But that end. I'm a huge fan of HEA, like huge! But the epilogue wasn't my thing. I was too big. Just, no. It's a book I will read again, but I will skip the epilogue.

Even though it’s been years since they were lovers, Cade still wants the man. When his best friend falls in love with someone else, life as Cade knows it is over. The band breaks up and Cade has to figure out how to move on. Ten Years… For ten years, Mal Wilson has hidden who he really is from the small-minded people of Arlo, Kentucky. The family farm is dwindling down to nothing, and the bar he owns is draining him dry. When it looks like he’s going to lose both, Mal has to figure out where to go from here. Three Months… For three months, Cade has been drinking and f*cking his way across the country, trying to forget about his former friend and lover. When he finds himself at a redneck joint in the middle of nowhere, he is drawn to the handsome roughneck tending bar. Something in the man stirs Cade for the first time in years. One Night… When Mal ends up in a hotel room with the handsome blond man who sat in his bar for hours, the man asks for one night together. When Mal wakes up, he knows that one night will never be enough, but it has to be. Two men… One musician, rich and famous, out and proud of his sexuality. One cowboy, poor as the dirt under his boots, hiding who he is from the world. It’ll never work. Or will it? Release Me is a love story between a hard rockin' drummer and a hard workin' cowboy. Review: “Now, he would never get enough of this man’s mouth on him. He had a feeling if he ever did hook up with someone else down the road, they would never measure up to the one who was thoroughly invading not only his mouth but his senses in that moment.” 5 don’t let go stars! Opposites definitely attract in this book! In this book we follow along with Cade and Mal’s struggle with love, finding themselves, and accepting themselves. Cade’s heart is broken fifteen years prior when the man he’s in love with (his best friend) falls in love with another man. And because of this their rock band dismantles and splits up. For ten years Mal has struggled with being a gay man in Kentucky. His family farm is slowly falling apart and the bar he owns is eating him alive, financially. Mal needs to figure out what to do… and fast! Meanwhile, Cade is screwing his way across the country. That all changes when he ends up in Mal’s bar and he knows he wants to get to know the sexy bartender more. One night of passion together and Mal knows he wants more than one night. Can these two opposites make it work? I really loved this book! It was so much more than I ever dreamed it would be! I love opposites attract book and this one was perfect!! I loved Cade and his manwhoring ways and Mal’s struggle to be who he wants in a small minded town! I will be reading more from this author! ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review.
