You need this cook book...actually you just need the list of the 12 foods. I really like the recipes in here. The 12 foods are based on a scientific study and are pretty easy to eat. The best hot chocolate I have ever had is in this book. (dark chocolate is one of the foods). just email me and I will give you the hot chocolate recipe.

Nice recipes, good suggestions, some good nutrition facts in here on what & why the foods chosen are the healthiest for you. I agreed with most everything in here, except maybe the soy, that is not really a part of my everyday foods nor will it be, it just isn't something that appeals to me, with the exception of chocolate soy milk on occasion, other than that i don't see that fitting in for me. I loved that onions, and the spinach made the list, especially the onions. I only tried a few recipes but they were good, I would check this book out again in the future if i every need to try a new recipe this would be a book that i would brouse for good healthy choices. Book was easy to read format and imformative. I would read other books by this author.

I haven't made any of the recipes, but I bookmarked at least two dozen of them. As other reviewers have noted, these are healthy recipes without sounding like health food, and at least in my area, I doubt that I need to make a single trip to the natural foods store to acquire an ingredient. This is a very nice addition to any cookbook collection! Pros: interesting sidebar information, author tells you where to find certain ingredients and in some cases, which brand she prefers (and why) Cons: very I haven't made any of the recipes, but I bookmarked at least two dozen of them. I'm cooking my way through this one - I borrowed a copy, and I think I'm going to have to get my own! Very tasty, very healthy, but without feeling too "health foody". Sure, there's broccoli, but there's chocolate, too. I'm cooking my way through this one - I borrowed a copy, and I think I'm going to have to get my own! I think I will pass on this one. I picked it up thinking it was what I wanted but its not really up to what I wanted. Soy is way too common in our foods already.
