I really liked the stories in this book and I have some new authors to pursue after reading the book. Favorite stories are: Trick 'n' Treats Emporium, The Inferno, Like Father, 718 Fox Hill Way, The Witch's Bite, Thrills & Chills, Funeral, and Ground Zero. There are some stories that are not really stories, but just one short paragraph or a poem. It was a little bit of a different type of Halloween anthology. Nothing really creepy or scary, but just some great spooky entertainment! Giving this o I really liked the stories in this book and I have some new authors to pursue after reading the book. I’m huge on short stories and collections. Especially in the horror genre. I read these over several days. There are 32 stories and a bonus dystopian one called Ground Zero. Since these are short stories, it’s hard to talk about them without spoiling things. And there are so many, I can’t pick just a couple as favorites. Some stood out more than others. There was suspense, thrills, and lots of horror in several genres. Even some poetry. And while I was familiar with some of these authors, there we I’m huge on short stories and collections. After trying these quick bites, I’ll be checking them out to see what else they have to offer. That’s the great thing about collections like this. Tis the season for scares….for me that’s year round, and I recommend you grab this collection.

I really enjoyed this horror anthology. There were NO UNORIGINAL TALES! Six foot bunnies made of human skin took the place of the typical redundant zombie tales. Darkness that comes alive and perspectives from the dead took over for the usual monster/vampire/werewolf stories. I'm more of a fan of psychological horror than the typical blood and guts slasher books, so this compilation suited me well. Great work Samie Sands assembling such a unique collection. I received this as a first read. I really liked this anthology. I truly thought the " monsters" in these tales where very original. That brought a different spin to these tales. I liked that it was not all gore but more of a psychological scares. A really good read. I received this as a first read. I really liked this anthology. I love anthologies because of the variety. I really liked some of these stories and naturally there were one or two I didnt quite get. A large majority of these are halloween themed. There is adult content and violence but that is to be expected in a horror anthology. "I Was Made to Love Him" was easily my favorite although I did figure it out. "The Witch's Bite was really interesting and original. Some fun stories to occupy your time. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am vol I love anthologies because of the variety. I absolutely love anthologies and I really love Halloween stories and I am a fan of British authors and I tend to love everything Samie Sands. So goes this book as well. It is a wonderful anthology of horrific stories with a Halloween theme and has a British sway to it. Plus it is put together with Samie Sands - so this book is awesome. This anthology was full of great halloween tales by various authors. This was very enjoyable and I didn't find a tale I didn't enjoy. To pick a favourite would be too hard. Not a huge fan of anthologies. Had some good stories, some okay stories and some not so great stories. Read this for a challenge, but all in all, not bad.
