Yep Jarrod is still perfect!! Reread before I read the second book!! Jared Banks just became one my favorite book boyfriends. I loved everything about this book. Jared and Patricia were perfect. The entire Saints And Sinners band was perfect. I always love when a rocker with tattoos and a reputation falls in love.

I found this to be an interesting concept as such I couldn't wait to read their story. Five years ago, Jarrod Banks met the woman, who would change his life forever. Little did he know that this change would be twofold. Not only would she make him the most sought-after country music star, but she would steal his heart in the process. From the moment, Patricia Monroe laid eyes on Jarrod she knew her life would never be the same. For five years she kept her feelings for him under wraps. She felt it would not be professional for her to be romantically involved with her client. Furthermore, she feared he could not be faithful, due to the fact that he had an endless supply of women. She was not interested in having her heart broken. Jarrod is every woman's fantasy. He is handsome, sexy and sweet. He is a songwriter and the lead singer for the Saints and Sinners band. What I loved most about him was his humility. He never forgot where he came from. He was not the type of star, who allowed his money and fame to define him. Patricia discovered the Saints and Sinners band five years ago. Since then through diligence and hard work she has placed them on the music map. I know it cannot be easy to be around the man you love and not being able to tell him how you feel. This is exactly what Patricia has been doing for the last five years. The story was told from the third person point of view. However, in this case, it was done from both characters’ perspectives. This assisted me significantly in understanding what they were both feeling. I enjoyed the banter between the characters. I can't wait to read the other band members, story. The story moved seamlessly between the past and the present. In doing this, the author was able to provide sufficient background information on the characters. I believe this helped me to understand the challenges they faced. The romance did not happen quickly. They took their time exploring their feelings for each other. However, their journey was not easy. Doubts, insecurities, and outside influences reared their ugly head. Will Jarrod and Patricia be able to overcome these obstacles and cease their happily ever after? From the moment I started this book, I was hooked. I could not get enough of Jarrod and Patricia. With that being said I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. Favourite Quote: 'You never have to worry about me leaving you because loving you is the reason I breathe.'

4.5 stars First off, many many thanks to Kaithlin Shepherd and Hot Tree Promotions for allowing me a free copy of Heart of the Music in exchanged for an honest review. This is my first “rock star romance”, but I enjoyed this experience so much that I will be seeking out more! I surprised myself with how quickly I got through this book…..about a day and a half. This is my first “rock star romance”, but I enjoyed this experience so much that I will be seeking out more! I surprised myself with how quickly I got through this book…..about a day and a half. Picture a cross between Adam Levine and Luke Bryan, and you’ve got Jarrod Banks. He’s the whole package. He writes, he sings, he leads the band. He’s the one all of the women fall all over. He’s got that “it” factor, and he knows it. He and his band of brothers have been in the spotlight for the last five years, but he’s still humble. He’s a genuinely nice guy. Patricia is their publicist, but she’s much more than that….she discovered the band one night when just trying to get a beer and forget her problems. From the moment they started playing she was entranced, and with her PR know how, she catapulted them to international fame and fortune. They have all become a big family type unit in the last five years that they have rode the fame train together. They include her on all of their decisions, including songwriting sessions, so it’s safe to say that she is an unnamed member of the band. Trish only has one real fear: that her attraction to Jarrod will become known. She has been wildly attracted to him literally from the moment she saw him, and living in his pocket and the pockets of the other guys for the last five years hasn’t diminished that one bit. She’s seen him through one skanky chick after another, pushing her own feelings aside. Until one day in an elevator it all comes to a passionate head that Trish can no longer deny. She doesn’t know it, but Jarrod has been keeping secrets from her as well. He has been in love with her the entire time. I really enjoyed this story! It flowed seamlessly, weaving present day happenings with a significant event in the two lover’s lives some time before. Both Jarrod and Trish’s head were pleasant places to be in, and blessedly free of much of the unneeded drama (for the sake of drama) that plagues romance novels these days. I can safely say that I liked these characters - as in really liked them for the people that they were. Neither one of them had any ultra annoying tendencies, such as arrogance or wimpiness. They were fully rounded people, yes, complete with their own insecurities and such, but all in all, you LIKED them, just as they were. Jarrod and Trish together as a couple was both hot and sweet. I could read another whole book just about them. Be on the lookout for the second book in this series, Saved by the Music. If you’re like me, it will immediately go on the “must buy” list.

I'm so in love with this first book in the new series Saints and Sinners! It's got everything you could want in a book about rock stars - a sexy hero (Jarrod) an unassuming heroine (Trish), fabulous writing and hot, hot and hotter than ever sex! It's got everything you could want in a book about rock stars - a sexy hero (Jarrod) an unassuming heroine (Trish), fabulous writing and hot, hot and hotter than ever sex! Trish has been the Publicist for Saints and Sinners for five years and it's her whole life. She started with them when they were playing in small venues and saw something in them that she knew could make them a household name with some help from her and her talents. When she first meets Jarrod, their chemistry is zinging all over the place. Her physical reaction was awesome... "The moment she spotted him, she reminder herself that this was business and she couldn't let herself lust after this man. For heaven's sake, she didn't even know his name." And let me tell you, Jarrod's reaction was equally as fascinating. He just didn't think she would ignore what is so obviously a chemistry that people long for but don't always find. He was in for a LONG wait!!! What I so appreciated about this book is how Kaithlin switched between current day and periods of time for the last five years, giving us the context for how they ended up where they are at this point in their lives. The longing Jarrod and Trish have for each other is unlike either of them have ever had before. They just try to hide it, but not so successfully. Everyone, and I mean everyone can see what is as obvious as the nose on your face, these two belong together. They just need to face reality, admit it to each other and make it work. If only it were that easy right? Trish thinks Jarrod is attracted to women that society expects a rock star to be with - tall, skinny and model perfect. Fortunately for Trish and all womankind, Jarrod has more taste than that and sees Trish for the beautiful woman both inside and out that she is. He never stops trying to get her to admit her feelings. And when she finally, does, the fireworks go off in a BIG WAY!!! Holy Moly talk about steaming up my glasses!!! You'd think after these two finally hook up it would be smooth sailing. Trish has opened up with Jarrod in a way she never has before. Unfortunately, she still has some doubts about herself and hence what she thinks Jarrod wants and it can and does create some issues. Don't get me wrong, there are some outside influences that are beyond her control that add to it. But let me tell you, when she finally stands up for herself and what she wants and deserves, I did a fist pump for her. I loved how the other members of the band were incorporated into the entire story solidifying the feeling of them being a family and always being there for each other. I especially loved Jarrod's mom and how she always embraced Trish and made her feel as if she was her mom too. When there is a crisis in their lives, they all rally around and again gave me the warm fuzzies. Even better is when Trish makes a decision that affects all their futures, every single one of them but none more emphatically than Jarrod, that she needs to do what she needs to do to be happy. But, life has a way of throwing you curveball, and just when you think you have it all, there's a chance it can all be taken away. Can Jarrod and Trish find their HEA? What happens to these outside influences that don't want them to be together? What does the future hold for the band? You'll get your answers when you read Heart of the Music!! Thank you Kaithlin Shepherd and Hot Tree Publishing for the privilege of reading this prior to it's release.

Saints and Sinners book one is the start of a new series by the incredibly talented Kaithlin Shepherd and for it to be one of my favorite romance tropes ( the hot rocker falling for the everyday/ordinary yet beautiful women) was just a bonus for my reading enjoyment. Lead singer of S & S - Jarrod Banks has had it bad for the bands' publicist since the beginning but she hasn't wanted to play in his games. Patricia has been the level-headed ultra professional that is unwilling to jeopardize her career for a fling with Jarrod but unbeknownst to him she has been in love with him since she first laid eyes on him years ago. Five years ago Patricia (Trish) Monroe was just heading to a bar to grab a drink when she discovered a band that would take the world by storm. Trish has been as much a part of the band as everyone else and has stood by and watched Jarrod date other women all while her heart breaks a little bit each time. Trish realizes by denying their chemistry and placing Jarrod firmly in the friend-zone her heart and professional reputation stay intact but it has been five long years and her resolve is starting to crumble. Jarrod Banks is a country music sensation and I don't know about you guys but for me the country boys like Luke Bryan/ Dierks Bentley put those pop guys to shame. So you can just imagine the fan girls all over a smoking hot front man like Jarrod but regardless of all the attention he receives he still can't seem to get Trish to pay him any mind at all. Jarrod has done everything that he can think of to make Trish just give him a chance but five years is a long freaking time to wait so he resorts to every dirty trick in the book until it works and when it works good Lord does it work in a spectacular smoking hot way!!! The back and forth between past and present was seamless for me and gave us a great look at the band on a whole. Then for us to get that light-the-sheets-on-fire sexy times when these two finally succumbed to their desires just made it an all around great read for me. Can't wait for more about the band :)

Each and every book of Kaithlin's is better than the one I read before! I am a huge fan of musicians, I especially love those country boys! I mean have you seen Blake Shelton? He wants her, but he knows that he is going to have to work for her and he is going to have to change his wicked ways. All it takes is being stuck in an elevator for the 2 to finally open up and let the feelings flow. Of course admitting you are in love with someone and being in a relationship with them isn't always all roses and chocolates. Jarrod and Trish hit s few speed bumps along the way. Trish's insecurities and doubts cause issues, a lot of that brought on by society's idea of what a "real" woman is supposed to look like, not to mention the string of ex's that Jarrod has, but Jarrod is dead set on proving to her that she is beautiful to him in each and every way. It's a bumpy road to an HEA and the only way to find out what happens is to read it for yourself. I loved these two. I loved the intense chemistry and feelings they had for each other, the sex was hot as hell, the flashes back flowed seamlessly with the current lives and the integration of the rest of the band and all of this has left me wanting more! ERIN'S REVIEW 4 STARS This was a wonderful book. Jarrod and Patricia are characters that were so easy to love. They have a chemistry that is explosive and a connection that goes way deeper than most characters. They have a great relationship as friends. But that turns amazing when they become a couple. TRACY'S REVIEW 4 STARS I'm probably like most females and enjoy stories of hot rockers. This one wasn't any different. Jarrod Banks is the leading man for a group called Sinners and Saints. Patricia is the band's publicist. She approached them when she first heard them in a bar and knew she could take them to where they should be. From the very beginning Patricia had to fight her feelings for Jarrod. After 5 years Jarrod was tired of waiting for her to admit her feelings. The only thing, she was afraid of love. Can Jarrod convince her to have faith and let love in or will she walk away from something that could be amazing? I enjoyed this book, because who wouldn't with a hot rocker. Patricia was easy to understand, it's hard to admit your feelings when that one decision could affect so many other things. While I liked it, it was also a little predictable.

I am a total sucker for a hot rock star and Jarrod Banks is certainly that. However, he is a whole lot more than that, especially when he is around his publicist and woman of his dreams Patricia Monroe. The obvious attraction between these two is passionate and out there for all to see. Their stubbornness is what is keeping them apart. This book shows us the camaraderie between the band mates and their crew. This is wonderful, as often books about bands are full of fights, arguments and drama. Patricia is a pr goddess and loved nothing more than doing her job until one day it didn't go so well. She ended up at a concert of an up and coming band. Of course she worked her magic on them and made them superstars. Jarrod was the lead singer of saints and sinners. He loved being in the spot light and being around his brothers. Until she walked into his life and changed it. I liked this book. I thought it was a great story about love and what they had to over come to make this work for them. 4 Patricia is a pr goddess and loved nothing more than doing her job until one day it didn't go so well. This was a wonderful book. Jarrod and Patricia are characters that were so easy to love. They have a chemistry that is explosive and a connection that goes way deeper than most characters. They have a great relationship as friends. But that turns amazing when they become a couple. I loved that they took their time with their relationship and didn’t just go off the deep end. These characters will steal your heart and have you jumping in your seat waiting for the next book! Reviewed for FMR Book Gr This was a wonderful book. I can't decide which band member I love more.. Loved this story! Trish and Jarrod had chemistry from the beginning which certainly kept me drawn to the story. I actually enjoyed the present and snippets of past that linked the story together. All I want now is to read Sam's story. He was such a good guy and friend. This is country otherwise well written story of the music industry and the relationships between band members, and the people they work with day by day. The people that make it hard and the people who make it easier. Romance with a music star is never an easy relationship and this one took years as life went on. Enjoyable, sweet, passionate story and plot line. Of course some angst and for me too much of descriptive sex. But it did fit in the story. Oh well, even skipping repetitive sex, I enjoyed the book.

"Heart of the Music" (Book 1) by Kaithlin Shepherd "Heart of the Music" is a fun, flirty, sexy, steamy and enjoyable read. Their connection to each other comes across from the beginning of the novel and adds a lot to the storyline. While each character is unique and different from the others, they also have some characteristics that help them meld as "brothers," artists, friends, "family," and yet individuals. I read this novel in one sitting. I truly enjoyed almost every aspect of it. The one issue I had was the focus on sex as vs the actual relationship between Trish and Jarrod. I felt that a few of those scenes were plenty to show that aspect of their relationship, but after the second or third they could have been alluded to and more character and relationship development would have been a better focus; something the author did very well in the first half of the novel. In fact, I skipped over a lot of those scenes and I felt I got more out of the novel and the characters in doing so. I RECOMMENDED this novel and I did enjoy it. The storyline was interesting, the characters wonderful, an the novel was interesting. Reading it in one sitting is also a plus in regard to how much I liked the novel. As an aside to this review: I was fully aware it was labeled as erotic contemporary fiction. It was high steamy but I would not label it erotic. At the same time I will also state that I truly enjoyed the novel, but after the third or so sex scene I started skipping over them as they were not adding to the book or the characters. I honestly felt that the last 1/4 or so of the novel took away from the novel as a whole because it basically cut into scenes in which character development and other factors were being described which made the novel stronger (the characters and storyline). ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

This is the first book, I've read by this author and it certainly will not be the last. I love reading about rock bands and love country music and this book was awesome. The whole band is very talented and could see not only the heart of their music, but could see what was blind to both the front man, Jarrod and Patricia AKA Trish. Well just say that Jarrod and Trish were not blind to their feelings they are just two very stubborn people that took years to finally get to where they should have been on day one. Trish knew from day one that this band was very talented and going to go somewhere. Jarrod knew from day one that Trish was it. Since Trish began working for the band, they would skirt around their feelings and while through the years get to a point where you think they will finally take the step they should have from day one, they don't. Trish had to deal with the women that Jarrod would be with whether she liked it or not for years. Jarrod had one chance to step up before it was too late and lose Trish not only as a person in the industry, but as the one he was meant to be with. This is told from past and present and while some may not like that, it allows you to get their full story and why it took so long for them to get the HEA and how the band progressed through the years. I can't wait to read more on the Saint and Sinners and the band mates stories as well as Trish's future (I will leave it at that so I don't give any spoilers). She deserves this and is very talented in the industry world. No, I didn't give it away either cause I didn't say which industry. haha. Don't miss this book about music, friends, hot men and being in the public eye as well as the hot scenes between Jarrod and Trish cause the chemistry was there from day one when she seen them perform in a bar.

This was such a wonderful story! Saints and Sinners it the first book in a new series by Kaithlin Shepherd. But she's the epitome of professional and even though Jarrod seems to fancy her from the moment he meets her, she reminds him it's strictly a professional relationship. The only thing he hadn't planned for back then was for her to fight their attraction so much. She had transformed it into an art form, and no matter how hard he tried to push his way in, she seemed determined to keep him out. Both of these characters were easy to fall in love with, especially Jarrod. He is loving and patient and sweet. Once their relationship progress, their chemistry is hot and explosive! I loved the other characters in this book too and the love they have for Trish as well. It was one big happy family. I loved the banter between Trish and Jarrod at times. Patricia: Don't you have a hot date or something? Jarrod: Yep. She just happens to be wearing sweat pants and one of my old t-shirts, has her hair in a bun, and is eating pizza and drinking beer. Let me in. Needless to say, they have their ups and downs, from fans to papparazzi to an evil ex-girlfriend vying to get Jarrod back. This story is told in the third person and the chapters alternate between Jarrod and Trish and jump between the past and the present, which is done extremely well. Having her near him quieted the noise and chaos in his head. No matter where they were or what they were doing, she made him happy. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!! I highly recommend! Read in exchange for an honest review.

When our dynamic duo finally saw the light I think I heard the hallelujah chorus come from up above. While I felt that the book had a good build of the story it somewhat lacked a "shoe dropper" when the plot twist hit in the story. I felt there could have been something bigger happen to make you stop and say oh crap! And before anyone thinks I'm crazy this is just my thought... I felt like there was to much sex in this book. This couple was more the a lust filled haze but you wouldn't get that by the amount of time they hooked up in this book. I still gave this book 4 raindrops because I feel my opinion about the sex shouldn't negatively affect the overall thought of this book.

This was my first exposure to Kaithlin Shepherd's writing. From the start, I felt immersed in the story and the characters. Shepherd has a way of describing her characters so that you can visualize them and immediately feel a connection with them. The story is told in the third person but with alternating points of view with flashbacks thrown in at regular intervals so you can see how their relationship progressed, or didn't progress. What I loved most about this book was the feeling of family within the band and the protectiveness the entire band feels towards Trish. This made each band member easy to love, so hopefully they'll each get their own story in this series. However, this was really a romance-based novel. There wasn't much conflict or suspense until near the end.

This book I enjoyed reading, it sucked me in right from the beginning, I thought the two characters Patricia and Jarrod had chemistry and I liked reading about their past and their present, I liked reading about the rest of the band. I would have liked to have read about Patricia dating at least one man in the book because it shows Jarrod dating and I think it would have been fun to see Jarrod's reaction and I thought Jarrod was a bit weak when it came to one part of the book, I would have liked This book I enjoyed reading, it sucked me in right from the beginning, I thought the two characters Patricia and Jarrod had chemistry and I liked reading about their past and their present, I liked reading about the rest of the band. first time I read anything by this author. I enjoyed this book. easy fun read. Patricia is their publicist has been for five years, Jarrod is the lead singer who's has been in love with her for five years. so has she but she let the band and her career ahead of her feelings. they flirted but never went farther than that. until he was done keeping his distance and she let him bridge the distance. their love sorry is a sweet story and very hot once they get together. great book looking forward to first time I read anything by this author. I picked up this Arc via Insta-freebie in exchange for an honest review. A Short romance, the idea was good & I liked the characters, but there was too much jumping back & forth between present & past for me. Heart of the music, was Ok but it didn't Wow me.
