A Good,Clean,Fair Wholesome Pantry of Spiritual Core Ingredients What an ideal choice for on point weekly biblical study of what matters for spiritual healing, growth and transformation from test to a living word! It is like taking pro-biotics for your soul ! Reading this book with a small group will surely allow for a third space, against the grain, critical conversation that matters.

I’ve read plenty of feminist theology but this book blew me away. A big part of it is the author’s use of the original Greek text to explain the ways that certain people and situations have been distorted by translators and scholars who ignored the texts in favor of their own preconceived notions of women’s place in the Scriptures.

Very basic introduction to analyzing a few Scripture passages from a feminist perspective. Good for a Bible study group - questions to encourage conversation included in the book!

Value was tied to discussion in my progressive women’s bible study group.

I appreciated the irenic tone of the author. The entire book is a gentle reminder that there are multiple points of view to be considered when we approach the Scriptures. I especially liked Reid’s overview of new-birth language in the Gospel of John.

Wisdom's Feast is an effort in considering what it might look like to begin to interpret Scripture through the lens of feminine experience. While I'm not ignorant of the fact that there is a feminine perspective on Scripture, as a privileged white guy this was my first foray into this genre of biblical study/theology. The effort was rewarded. This is a well-written book that can go some way to conscienticising those men oblivious to the place of women in God's story and all that might mean for w Wisdom's Feast is an effort in considering what it might look like to begin to interpret Scripture through the lens of feminine experience.
