The Geekery Book Review –
This is an amazing book if you already know what you're doing! If you don't, it gives you something to aim for. The instructions are clear, the photos are beautiful, and the variety of projects is wide. I bought it looking for ways to girl-up paracord projects, and I'm so happy I did. There are so many different knotting and beading techniques in here that can be applied to so many different things. I had never seen the Kumihimo braid technique, but now I am so anxious to try it!! Lots of good ideas but some of the instructions could be clearer. The photos are helpful, but more photos would be more helpful. I’m not sorry I bought this book, but I wouldn’t recommend it to a beginner.

I liked it, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I liked it, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

Will be using some of these great ideas in the future. Haven't tried anything yet but found some great projects. Will be using some of these great ideas in the future. Haven't tried anything yet but found some great projects.

Wonderful Resource! As a Girl Scout of the 60's-70's, I cultivated a lifetime love of knots. Although paracord is popular now, this book revisits macramé and introduces us to Kumihimo braiding. The author brings forth numerous ways the same knot configuration can be modified with materials for different uses. If you are interested in making jewelry, bracelets and belts, this is a go-to book. Wonderful Resource! As a Girl Scout of the 60's-70's, I cultivated a lifetime love of knots. So-so 1st I suggest reading this on a color screen. While I love my Kindle Paperwhite, the pictures need to be in color to follow her instructions. While there is plenty of detail in her instructions, I found them hard to follow. I have the book 3 stars because it wasn't necessarily her fault I couldn't follow her instructions. Excellent instructions and well organized.

A little bit of everything here, which means that the directions will seem less detailed for those who are not already familiar with the various techniques. I found it a great refresher, though.
Colleen Murray –
Not so good I found the projects very old fashioned very disappointing I was hopeful that there would be more projects and a different quality
