unable to enjoy the type of book on kindle , would be much better with a real paper book, but I never bought this type so just had to try it out. Did enjoy the books.

I bought this thinking it would be Book 5 in the Harper Connelly book series I'd been reading. I should have looked closer before buying, but I'd been a Charlaine Harris fan long before the Sookie series came along, and have read all of her books. So, I went by her name alone, and what I'd become used to with her writing. I was sorely disappointed. I found the graphic novel format unpleasing, and the writing felt as if another writer had written it. I found the graphic novel format unpleasing, and the writing felt as if another writer had written it. Usually when I read Charlaine's books, I feel transported into her world -- her writer's 'voice' works on me like magic. But this graphic novel format? Her 'voice' and the cozy feeling of being in the world she creates was not there for me. I realize that a writer should never be forced to do only what fans want. With that said, I won't buy any more of her books in this graphic novel format.
