This audiobook was püre torture. It was good to have Dr. Janet Fraiser back but even her couldnt saved this book. What saved this book -what made me give it 2,5 star- was the character called Luka Biass who was voiced by Toby Longworth. He was amazing at this one. Teryl Rothery? She couldnt have sucked more. This audiobook should be given as an example how to make bad audiobooks. Bad audiobook narrators ruin the audiobook experience people! And oh boy, Teryl Rothery was so bad I've nearly dropped it. I know that she hasnt played the character for a while but that doesnt excuse doing a bad job. Her voice has never changed. She used the same plain, boring, lifeless voice during the audiobook -it didnt change when action was happening, it didnt change when she was supposed to be angry, it didnt change when she was emotional. IT WAS SAME. I mean, I thought Torri Higginson was bad, I was annoyed how bad she was at disguising her voice for toher characters but Teryl Rothery didnt even try it. She was just awful. I missed the character but the story was definitely lacked logic, too. D. Fraised gets kidnapped and taken hostage to a ship called Savarna to treat a ill patient. At one point, she sneaks in (way to easily and also two damn times) to com room and calls Stargate Command. What the hell?! Why the hell it was soooo easy for her to reach Stargate Command? That's just...UGH.

How delightful! Excellently written! This tale of Janet Frasier getting herself all abducted to give medical treatment to a kidnapped child was dramatically narrated by Teryl Rothery and Toby Longworth. Janet finds herself in a sticky moral conundrum. She works it out very nicely, thank you very much! I love Janet! She was always my favorite female character on the show (Samantha Carter taking a very close third to Adrea). This is a Big Finish production with a short interview with Teryl at the How delightful! And yet another fantastic audio drama! I'm really loving this series and the creative story lines they've come up with. This was a great Janet-centric story and Teryl Rothery's impression of O'Neill is hilarious! And yet another fantastic audio drama! Dr. Janet Fraiser takes central stage in this one, with Teryl Rothery doing a great job narrating. Great to see her character back in action, and being the main character in a Stargate story for once.

SHE'S ALIVE!!!!! Dr. Janet Fraiser resurrected. A wish come true. Enjoyable, albeit predictable, storyline, but well performed by Teryl Rothery and Toby Longworth. A definite RECOMMEND to all. Having Janet Frasier back is the most wonderful thing that could happen in the SG world. Great story, and so nice to revisit her character.

A very good story with a very interesting concept, but I just don't buy the part where the tough-as-nails Dr. Fraiser (view spoiler)[swoons over the charming but rogue-ish space pirate/captain. I mean, that's the kind of crap that's pulled straight from a crappy bodice-ripper paperback.
