After Hitler had plundered art treasures from Europe to keep them safe, a group within the Allied forces called the Monument Men scrambled as Germany fell, to find and protect these sublime creations. This booklet covers what happened with a selection of Germany's finest art which America had shipped to the National Art Gallery, to keep them safe of course.
