I only read Madeline Sheehan and Nicole Jacquelyn' stories, skimming the rest. Sheehan had a super silly, fun and smutty wolf shifter romance, nothing like the Uber gritty, ominous Undeniable MC series she is so well known for. Nothing against it, it just isn't my genre, so I was glad it was on the short side. The one thing that stands out is that even shifter bitches have body issues and it has nothing to do with their fangs or hairy paws. Lol. What's the point of delving into fantasy if we can't get rid of our mundane problems, like if our bodies are too skinny, too fat, or just average? I don't know, for me, I just couldn't stop laughing at that. Nicole Jacquelyn's contribution was the kind of erotic short that we have read a thousand times before with a lame twist at the end that was predictable from the get go. However, the level of her writing elevated it to something delicious and pleasing, a light and fluffy amuse-bouche to her usually steak and potatoes full novels. As I mentioned, I skimmed the rest but didn't find anything inspiring. Don't hold it against this anthology and try it out for yourselves. I just have a short fuse lately.

Fourteen authors collaborate to bring about one of the best anthology's I have read. My experience with this kind of book is normally they are part one's of something but not this one. This is a collaboration of Steampunk, Erotica, paranormal and contemporary stories which gives the reader a mis-mash of short fiction from the realistic to the fantastical. Lots of authors I love and this has been written for charity. I enjoyed everyone of the unique stories provided by these talented authors BUT my favourite was Madeline Sheehans hot romance Because You Are Mine. Grab this while you can and read it. You wont be disappointed.

Alexander  A captain’s young widow longs to avenge her husband’s death, so disguises herself as a boy and enlists in Her Majesty’s Navy to take a post on an . . . airship? I've barely read any steampunk much less erotic steampunk. It's was a great experience, and I'd like to try more. This book is written by a man in the female perspective. He does an awesome job of it.  Reading this book was like a fresh new experience for me.  “Baby Special” by C.C. Brown  A gung-ho Marine learns to adapt to a situation beyond his control as his wife gives birth to their first child. Super sweet. <3 From what I could tell, these characters are from other stories by the author. I hadn't read them, but this short story is a great standalone. I loved how focused the man is on his pregnant wife. It was lovely. “Because You Are Mine” by Madeline Sheehan  Half human, half wolf, and promised to a purebred alpha wolf who wants her to submit. What’s a girl to do? I love alphas. This book is hot! This book is a fantasy about people that change into wolves, lycanthrope, werewolves. They aren't the bitten kind. It's just in their genetics. The female lead has a pure human mother and human/wolf father so she's kinda going in halfsies. This story is about her struggle with the ins and outs of wolfdom.  If you like Madeline's The Holy Trinity series, there's a good chance you'll like this short story. It deals with love and attraction on a cell-deep, spiritual level-when it can't just be mind over matter. I wouldn't mind reading some more of this world from the mind of Madeline.   Excellent read, one of the best in this anthology. “The Benson” by Karina Halle  Ghost hunters investigate a hotel rumored to be haunted, and discover more than they bargained for. Very interesting. I felt a little lost because I haven't read any of the Experiment in Terror books. I felt kinda scared while reading, gives you that spooky feeling. I'm definitely going to look into this series. “Dark Paradise” by Karina Halle  Distraught by her husband’s affair, a woman flees to Hawaii to lose herself, but instead finds something unexpected. Super loved. Can't wait for more with Esteban and Dirty Angles! LOVED!  This story is related to The Artists Trilogy and the Dirty Angles series. I think the Artists Trilogy was amazing, and I can't wait for Dirty Angles. This is about a woman who has lost her will to go on. There is no color in her world until Esteban comes into the picture. He swept me away right along with her. This short story is amazingly hot, just wow, and I mean WOW! It drew me in as much as a full-length novel. If this is a preview of things to come with those sexy Mexican drug lords I've been lusting over for so long, please, please bring it on soon! I definitely recommend!  I would buy the anthology just for this one story.  It's that great! 5 stars! “Home” by Joanne Schwehm  Newly divorced Sophia DeMarco returns to her childhood home ready to pack up her past and begin her new life. What she discovers is there are parts in her past that aren’t so easily left behind. Sweetness made for the middle aged couple. Every story can't be about twenty somethings. This is a story about finding happiness when everything isn't new anymore, when you open your eyes and see what's around you. “Maverick” by Chelsea Camaron  An ICU nurse takes a personal interest in a patient’s recovery, changing both his life and hers forever. “One Night Away” by Nicole Jacquelyn  After chasing her kids around the house all day, a stay-at-home mom goes out for a much-needed night on the town and encounters a sexy man. I really thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was sexy and sweet and brought a smile to my face. It's a great read for the mothers out there. Romance isn't dead. I really want to recommend for certain reasons, but I don't want to name them and spoil the story. It's truly one you shouldn't pass up. Also, great mood lifter if you're down.  Out of the stories I read from this anthology, this is one of the best ones. :) “One Night with a Cowboy” by Lisa M. Harley  What’s a sure-fire cure for a broken heart? A cowboy, of course! “Reaching for the Stars” by Sophie Monroe  A shallow, self-centered party girl sets her sights on a rock-and-roll star for her happily-ever-after. “Sapphire” by Ashley Suzanne  Traumatized by the abuse in her past, a hooker working in a strip club is shocked to learn that fairy tales sometimes do come true. The point of this story, in my opinion, is that no matter what you've been through, you are worth something. Everyone can come back from whatever depth they have dropped. A person can change their life at any time for better or worse. It's nice to read about a man willing to accept a way less than perfect past. If you like dirty female leads that make no apologies, this may be the story for you. “Shouting with Silence” by Kahlen Aymes  An off-Broadway actress struggles with whether to continue an online relationship that has been a constant presence in her life. But when the enigmatic man she chats with refuses to allow her to truly get to know him, she is forced to face the fact that words—while powerful—may not be enough. “The Slum Queen” by Daryl Banner  Though she came from the slums, she is now queen of a world far in our future. Ignoring the uprising that threatens her throne, she sets her focus on filling the hole inside her heart. But will she succeed before it’s too late? I would classify this book as sci-fi. It could maybe also be classified as dystopian. It takes place sometime in the future. Humans have evolved biologically. The world has changed geographically, theologically, pretty much in every way possible basically. The storyline is about the queen of this world. This was my first time reading anything from this author. I had no idea what the story would be going into it. I had no expectations so I was pleasantly surprised that I liked it so much. I plan to look into more stories from this author. “Uncharted Waters” by Amber Lynn Natusch  After years on the run from her abusive ex, Cristina seeks refuge in an unlikely place—Alaska. When a handsome fisherman enters her life, can she stop looking over her shoulder long enough to give him a chance, or will her past continue to dictate her future . . . a future full of solitude and regret? This didn't feel like a short story. Somehow, it seems like the author managed to share the full tale without omitting or rushing important parts. I like how the leading man is captain of a crab boat. That's not a role portrayed in anything I remember reading lately. It gave him a certain appeal. So while the couple is getting to know each other, the ex is always lurking dangerously in the background. Will they find happiness? “Unleashed” by Erin Noelle   A young shifter who has been captured and abused is eventually unleashed in more ways than she could imagine. This story has several different genre elements. It's fantasy with the shifters. It's darkish because of her slavery and what she goes through. And then it has some erotic ménage à trois thrown in. So chances are it has something for you. ;) toni FangirlMoments and My Two Cents

Eight years later, Grey is still searching for Shayanne after he immediately realizes his grave mistake. Can he win her back? I love shifter books and I loved Sheehan's take on it. Baby Special by C.C. Brown: 3 stars This short story is about the birth of Alex and Cassie's first son, A.J. If you thought Alex was intense and angry through his court marshal, it was nothing compared to how he coped with seeing his wife in labor. One Night Away by Nicole Jacquelyn: 5 stars Eek! This short story made me squee with delight! I guessed what was going on pretty early but I still loved it. Very sweet! Sapphire by Ashley Suzanne: 4 stars A true Cinderella story! Dallas goes by the stage name of Sapphire. She's a stripper in a seedy club. She's also not above using her body in other ways to make ends meet. One night a blast from her past comes in with his friends for his birthday. Does she now have hope for a brighter future? Very sweet. I enjoyed it. Dark Paradise by Karina Halle: 5 stars Lani has fled to Hawaii to rethink her marriage. In fact, she's not sure she wants to go on anymore at all. When she meets a sexy Mexican man named Esteban, not only is she inspired to paint again but after a life or death situation she realizes how much she wants to live. The sex scene was smokin' hot and once I realized who Esteban was I squeed like a teenage girl! Loved it! Unleashed by Erin Noelle: 4 stars Lelah is a shifter. She was captured at ten years old after her pack was decimated by humans. She was subjected to their abuse for ten years. One day a shifter named Savannah finds Lelah and saves her. From there Lelah and Savannah get closer but Savannah is mated to pack alpha, Ryker. Do Savannah and Ryker have room for Lelah? *wink wink* Very hot m/f/f story but I was left wondering what exactly the humans wanted with Lelah. Maverick by Chelsea Cameron: 4 stars Mackenzy moved back to her hometown after ending things with her long time, cheating boyfriend. She runs into her high school crush, Maverick, and they start to bond after Kenzy helps take care of Mav's father, Richard. Very sweet story. I loved Cameron's acknowledgement at the end. The Benson by Karina Halle: 4 stars I read this novella about a year ago and, unfortunately, it was before I started writing regular reviews. But it was scary and it has Dex and Perry so what more do you need to know? Uncharted by Amber Lynn Natusch: 4 stars It was nice reading a short story about Robbie. I loved Undertow. Robbie has been stuck on land since his arm injury. While in the hospital for some tests he meets radiologist, Cristina. Cristina has been running from her ex, Mateo. She figured Anchorage, Alaska would be one of the last places he'd find her. She was wrong. Great story! Reaching For the Stars by Sophie Monroe: meh. DNF.

You cannot go wrong with this book of short stories, PLUS all the proceeds go to the Western New York Independent Living, a nonprofit organization that works with people, young and old, living with a disability, and teaching them life skills that will enable them to take control of their lives. It's a win-win situation for everyone involved. The first story that I couldn't wait to read is Because You Are Mine by Madeline Sheehan, and it didn't disappoint. This story involves a shape-shifter, half human and half wolf, and 100% hot alpha male wolf. This story is that one piece of chocolate in the box that everyone fights to claim it first, and I couldn't help, but think of that piece of delectable chocolate in the image of Joe Manganiello. I only wish that the story could be developed from a short story into a full novel; I would love to see more Shayanne and Grey. The Benson by Karina Halle is that piece of chocolate with the center being filled with delicious buttery caramel goodness. Each story in Moments In Time is delicious, and the wonderful thing is if you get a flavor that you don't like, skip it and move to a different variety: if you're not a connoisseur of Erotica, move on to Paranormal, Fantasy, Steampunk, or Contemporary Romance. This book is a treat for readers of all genres, not only should you buy it for yourself, it would also make the perfect gift.

Wow, awesome short stories. I went straight for Madeline's "Because You Are Mine", holy molly! Why had I stopped reading fiction? An alpha wolf that made me feel like I wanted to get claimed. The intensity once he gets a hold of her and claims her is Off.The.Charts. "Who am I Shayanne?" he growled softly, his voice thick as he continued shifting. "My alpha", she panted. "Good girl," he growled, and his praise as her alpha rippled over her skin like a soft caress. "Who are you?".... "Your mate", Wow, awesome short stories. I hope Mad gives us more of this story, pretty please! Dark Paradise by Karina Halle... Are you kidding me?? Esteban was so smooth and suave, you hardly could believe he was part of the cartel. And Javier pops up in the story! I almost squeed, omg the phone scene "What's your name?" "The phone says you're Dart Vader", The man on the other end -Dart Vader- laughed. "Well", he said when he eventually recovered. "I can be Dart Vader for you, if you want." His voice was as seductive as satin sheets. Swoooooon. < ---- That is our bad boy Javi right there!!! "Because you are Mine" by Madeline Sheehan I devoured this short story the moment it went LIVE! It was that freaking GOOD! Even though it was a short story, it wasn't anything less then Mads best. You still get the rush and life from one of her full length books just wrapped up in a heated half-breed werewolf paranormal romance! Crossing my fingers we get more, hopefully in a full length book! She finds out that from other pack alpha is claiming her as his mate. And that was desided years ago and the ceremony happening tonight. How she saw her soon to be mate, Grey, is that he was huge, broad, muscular, tall with masculine features, with sculpted abs and hips. His body covered in tattoos. He was also badly scarred. He looked powerful, masculine and mean. He was made to install fear and she was terrified. She was so scared that she did the only think a girl would do when faced with shotgun wedding. She ran like the devil himself was chasing her. She didnt ran fast enough and he cought her. What fallowed it made me sad for her. On the way to Greys pack I was angry because it seemed that he see her like a breeder not a beautiful wolf girl with feelings. Then he finds out about her secret and send her free. 8 years later she had a new life in humans world which agreed more with her that packs life. She has new identity, new looks. Shayanne eventually accepted who and what she was. She was comfortable in her own skin. Otherhand Grey...He is not having so much fun. Grey is sufering Shayannes heat cycles as she do. Other female to reveal heat? No chance because he is already mated. So he was looking for her these past years. And when Grey finds Shayanne...Well the game begins. This short story was exciting and so captivating. Maverick by Chelsea Camaron Kenzy is bright, beautiful woman, who knows a betrayal. And now has lost trust in men and that they can be faithful. Maverick aka Tapper...Yeah the nickname saids it all. But he is awakened when his fater lose his leg because of debiate. And knows that life is short and you should not let a good thing escape you. And he knows that Kenzy is a good thing. Since Kenzy is nurse she take care of Mavericks father when his is in hospital and later when he released, she take cares of him at home too. That brings Maverick & Kenzy togeter. This is a short lovely story. Full of realisation that you should live your life to fullest and dont let little stupid thing in your way.

this is for Chelsea Camaron's story I received this book from the author. I love me some Chelsea. She is awesomeness to the 100th degree. So when we were told we were sponsoring her for an author event, I jumped in head first and finished reading all of her books. I have read her MC books and loved them. But I gotta admit that Maverick stole my heart. Who doesnt love a reformed bad boy? I mean come on...his nick name is TAPPER for all the ladies he tapped!! Maverick is taking care of his diabetic father after his mother passed away from cancer. He is an only child so he feels the pressure of everything. Kenzy is a cute and sweey girl he remembers from high school. He runs into her at the store and thinks "YUM" and then again at a bar he is about to "tap' that when she shuts him down for the night!! Maverick is like DANG but fate will not let them seperate. Kenzy ends up taking care of his father in the hospital. The pair form a father-daughter like relationship and Maverick's heart is stolen a little more each time he sees her with his father. I love assertive Maverick and the fact his dad helps him get the girl. The end of the book is a note from Chelsea about the inspiration for the story and it brought a tear to my eye....... about the author

I'm not rating the entire anthology because I just wanted to read one novella. Because You are Mine by Madeline Sheehan. I love her writing and I love PNR - werewolves, swoon - so I'd thought to read it. Wrong. BIG mistake. ***SPOILERS*** I am rating it 1 star for the few pages that I managed to read because hey, call me old-fashioned but I don't condone rape. Werewolf or not, PNR or not. Screw that. Oh and the hero is then scratching his head, wondering why the heroine is not talking to him. Wow. He's smart. Disappointed. Really thought it would be a story to get me out of my funk. Instead, it just pissed me off.

Such a fantastic collaboration from amazingly talented authors. Never did I imagine that so many different authors, spanning all these different genres, would come together and write short stories that knocked my socks off, made me happy in the pants and have me salivating for more. A great selection of short stories. I'll be honest I only brought this because its for a good cause and I really needed a Stg Cruz fix (CC Brown)! All the stories are different not one is the same, there really is something for everyone. Quite a few new authors for me that I really enjoyed and will be looking out for more from them all. A bit of this that and the other...short stories with something for everyone. A genuinely good read, only a few disappointments with abrupt endings that made no sense or a hanging last word which was very frustrating!! A few new authors for me, so something to look at for future reads. Long read...over 11hours...but a nice dip in and read when you want to, enjoy!
