After reading the 1st book in this series I had to get the 2nd as soon as I was done with the 1st. I just had to see what happened with the story of Rhea and Chad. It was so hard to read that he had to be shipped out when they just admitted to each other their feelings that they have kept bottled up since childhood. I can only imagine what the families of our service men and women go through when they are deployed. At the end of the 1st book it gave me a glimpse of what they must feel and it was so heart touching when they formed a circle and said a prayer together. This book is also romantic, touching and very suspenseful in places. It gives you an idea of what our service people as well as the loved ones they leave behind deal with daily. This book was wonderful in touching the lives of not only the main characters but Chad's fellow team member and his wife, as well as the support Rosa and Rhea give each other. And all of Chad and Rhea's friends and family that help her through not only pregnancy but dealing with him being deployed for so long. The suspense comes in the form of a so called stalker that Rhea went out with a few times prior to Chad and her getting together and he won't take no for an answer. The ending made me cry for a few chapters. There's Chad's home coming, baby Charlie and Rhea of course as well as a wedding and it just brings you to tears. Awesome books, loved every minute of them and I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

This book had a good story but there were so many grammatical and spelling mistakes (one on almost every page) that I took a star away just for that. She literally spelt soldier, "solider" every time she used that word. Seriously, whoever proofread this book should be fired. Also, as an author, she should not have made that many grammatical and spelling mistakes; they were things I learned in elementary school! Also, as an author, she should not have made that many grammatical and spelling mistakes; they were things I learned in elementary school! Second, there was a huge lack of research for Navy SEALS (or military in general) and medical knowledge before this book was written. For example, Navy SEALS are SEALS, they are not soldiers. Those who serve in the Army are soldiers. So, another star was removed for that. The last thing I removed a star for was the amount of detail she went into for the most unneeded information. Some detail is nice so the reader can picture what's going on, but there is such thing as too much detail. I literally skipped half a page (more than once) because it was useless information. Other than that, I liked the story line.

Bravo another wonderfully written book.Better than book 1? YES As a fan of books with military men, this did not disappoint. More for Rhea and Chad- count me in. She was dating sporadically, hanging with friends, and healing from the loss of her brother Randy and her Mom. I think the author did a super job with the sub characters.. I loved Kendall and Rosa. She describes friendships that we all know are necessary in the grieving process. Showing how friends can just be there without asking for anything in return is like a cold drink on a hot summer day. There is a lot to love about this series, characters, and most of all the author. Give it up for the Seals!!

Better than the First Book! I was taught that if you didn’t have something good to say about someone or something, don’t say anything at all. Well, I have lots of good things to say about Coming Home, the second book in The Wakefield Romance Series. The second book in a series is usually a ‘filler’ and not as good as the first. Not in this case. I really liked the first book, Two Weeks with a Seal, but I loved the second one! Although a little slow in places, I think that this is maybe the first Better than the First Book! Not in this case. I really liked the first book, Two Weeks with a Seal, but I loved the second one! Although a little slow in places, I think that this is maybe the first time I’ve liked a second book more than the first. Not only did I get to know more about Rhea and Chad, the main characters, I got to meet new characters. My favourites were Brad and Garth. In fact, I loved them and I really hope that they get their own book (That’s a hint Therese.) Of course, I couldn’t forget Kendal, Harlan, Rosa and Reno who feature in Coming Home as well. I would love to have them all as my friends. Dana is the perfect supportive mother. All of these wonderful characters help to form a tight bond of love and friendship and the story would not be as good without them. But Wakefield is not all light and love. There are few bad apples in town, one in particular. There is conflict and tension and I was continually kept guessing about what would happen next. Then to add to the mix, there is the continuing danger that Chad has to face on his missions as a Seal. I love a book that makes me feel a variety of emotions and Coming Home certainly delivered. I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars. I don’t know how many books Therese Marguerite Hewitt plans to write in this series, but I’m certainly looking forward to the next one and, hopefully, more. This book was even better than the first let me just tell ya. The first was good but this one had me crazy. When the last book needed Chad was deployed and that was heart wrenching enough. I was just afraid that things were going to Fall apart because they finally professed their love for one another and were officially together and now engaged. Soul mates finally together Yay, So freaking happy. So that's why I knew something bad was going to happen. Never did I imagine she would befriend Duke after the way he has treated her and all the turmoil and aggregation he caused Chad. I was.... I mean seriously. WTH!!!!!! That had me so angry the entire time I was thinking woman I will come through this iPad and beat you down if you do anything with him, I know she was missing Chad, hormonal and lonely but I would rather buy me a B.O.B before I ever contemplated going back to the crazy! Rhea had an awesome support system. Dana, Kendall, Harlan, Brad, Rose And Garth. I loved every single one of them. I was.... To find out about Brad and Garth, but I love em. They crack me up. I waited and finally Rhea figured Duke out. About freaking time. I was happy he was gone but I knew he was crazy and wouldn't stay away. When he shows back up and things unfold I ..... And when they get ahold of Chad I sobbed so hard my husband laughed at me and all I kept saying was " I can't help it, it is so sad." I cried so hard I couldn't see the words of the story. So in a nut shell all the emotions I experienced were happiness, anger, sadness, shock, anticipation, nervousness, and finally exhilaration. It was awesome I tell ya. To the author....

Holy SEALs, Batman. I was once again floored with this book by Theresa Marguerite Hewitt. The second novel in the Wakefield Romance series continues where Two Weeks with a SEAL left off. On the day that Chad is due to arrive back home, things with Duke turn nasty. Chad’s homecoming couldn’t have been any worse; he returns to US soil with the news that Rhea is in the hospital. Theresa once again receives five stars from me for this military romance. As I said before, I’ve never read a military romance, and this is definitely the series to pop my military romance cherry. This book is full of suspense. I was actually talking with Theresa, because at one point, I was filled with extreme anger towards a character. Then, a few pages later, I was sad. Another couple of pages later, I was happy again. It’s definitely an emotional roller coaster. This is what I believe makes a book terrific. I also love that the ending is the beginning of another couple’s story. How cute! While I could so use more Chad and Rhea, I don’t mind getting to know Bobby and Ellie a little more. Great job, Theresa!

I definitely liked Coming Home (book 2) better than Two Weeks With A Seal - the first book in the series The Wakefield Romance. This moved along and kept me interested whereas the first book seemed drawn out and repetitive. Chad was Rhea's brother's best friend growing up and Seal teammate whom she fell in love with as a small child and Chad fell in love with Rhea as a teen, but neither revealed their feelings to one another until later in life. I think this book just had more to offer than the first. It looks like there will be a third in the series featuring Ellie Rhea's cousin and Timmons one of Chad's Seal teammates. That also sounds interesting hopefully the author will continue to move the story along and not drag it out as she did in the first book.

With Chad deployed he and Rhea learn if their relationship can survive the seperation. With unexpected surprises and new friends becoming closer what happens in the in between until they are together again. This one is more angist this the first with lonely nights and great friends, but there's still Derik to contend with. You get to see inside his mind and how he feels about Rhea. So, this was a sequel to Two Weeks with a Seal and it's pretty much a must read after book 1. I must admit though that this book was making me a little angry at Miss Rhea in the beginning. Didnt seem like the choices she was making made much sense. I was invested in the characters though so I finished the book and ended up really liking it. There were a few unexpected things that I didn't see coming too. So, this was a sequel to Two Weeks with a Seal and it's pretty much a must read after book 1. I have read the first two in this series back to back and cannot wait for book 3! This is the first I have read of her work. I am so impressed by her ability to express emotion. I really felt what the characters were going through! I have one teeny tiny issue, the way Rhea tries to accept Duke`s friendship. I could not believe some of the things she did! However, these actions are what brought about the whole climactic scene of the book! I have read the first two in this series back to back and cannot wait for book 3! Ray is at home all alone without Chad while he serves ove seas. Duke (who u meet i the 1st book) is a pain in the ass and proves to be much more than that....In this books you go threw the pain of only seeing your love one via skype :-( With the help of great friends and some family Ray makes it threw to the last day of Chads deployment just to possibly have EVERYTHING ripped away the day he comes home. What happened and does everyomake it out alive? Not gonna tell but its worth reading :-)

I like how book 2 is set out with each of their POV's. This just made me not sleep till it was finished in one night. So again this didn't disappoint me but it made me love Chad and Rhea more. This has more heartfelt more love and a little more angst (if you've read it then the part you know I'm referring to is an angst, well to me it is.) Explosive sequel? Absolutely love this series. There was a warning at the beginning of the book that something would make you scream. I find myself cringing thinking that was the moment but when it finally happened. I really did scream! Can't wait for the next book. This author keeps her readers on toes! Explosive sequel? This is a start to a great series. After starting reading the first book Two weeks with a Seal I smiled to myself because the towns that are named in this book is where I have been raised and where I still live around to this day. The talk about the bonfire parties among other things brought back memories of growing up :)

Read this straight after two weeks with a seal. Loved getting to know the other characters a bit better& the relationships between kendall and harlan and garth and brad. Felt her pain when all she wanted was to speak to this man she had just declared her feelings to. Brilliant book& extremely moving scenes at the hospital to feel a strong man torn to pieces was such a heart wrenching moment.

I'm always honored to read a book featuring true Hero's like the military men and women keeping us safe and free. This book about the love of a military man and his long time love interest. Is very enjoyable. I read book one " two weeks with a seal" and had to read this one not just for a continuation of the story. But because I really liked the people represented. This is just as good if not better than book 1 Two Weeks With a Seal. A real emotional roller coaster, yep I needed tissues again!! Another well written book, its nice that not only do you get Rhea and Chads pov, but you also get the pov from close family and friends and it links nicely in to Ellie and Bobbys story. Looking forward to the next couple of books from the series.
