STRIPPED AND REVEALING THEIR FINE LINES! Thirteen cartoonists are profiled in this book on the history of gay comics. It's a great sampling of the work of some of the most famous artists from various parts of the globe with extensive examples of their work represented in this handsome presentation. There's glimpses of the ground breaking art of Tom of Finland, the uncompromising erotica off The Hun to the more realistic and simply sweet renditions of the works of Mioki (including the cover art) a STRIPPED AND REVEALING THEIR FINE LINES! Thirteen cartoonists are profiled in this book on the history of gay comics. It's a great sampling of the work of some of the most famous artists from various parts of the globe with extensive examples of their work represented in this handsome presentation. There's glimpses of the ground breaking art of Tom of Finland, the uncompromising erotica off The Hun to the more realistic and simply sweet renditions of the works of Mioki (including the cover art) and Tom Bouden's boys next door to the amusing and socially alert Howard Cruse. Others include the wild exploits of Patrick Fillion's heavily endowed super heroes, Theo van den Boogaard's "Tin Tin" type drawings and Zack's beautifully sketched adventures of Bike Boy. There are many others represented here as well and this book provides an excellent introduction to some of the less familiar artists out there. The only downside to this book is that you may already have some of this work, especially from the list above, as they have appeared in many other Bruno Gmunder publications.
