I was pleased to see the two actually talk about things for once, but as usual it seems to be two steps forward a step-and-a-half back with Onodera. Also, this account of their teen relationship doesn't seem to match what was recounted at the start of the series. Revisionism, or a comment on the fallibility of memory? This series is fun and enjoyable. I have trouble liking Ritsu, although he is more likable when seen from Takano's POV. Go figure. Anyway, what pisses me off though? The obvious lack of effort of the German publisher. This is starting to get ridiculous. For example, they kept the text of the back blurb unchanged, which would be fine if it was a generic description, but as it is it suggests content which isn't there (for example a story about Kisa and Yukina). The translation sounds really weird in places, maybe because I'm too old. But - "Dummerle"?! "DUMMERLE?!" I. Really. What. Why use a dialect specific expression when Takano never speaks using a regional (German) dialect? Maybe I'm too nitpicky, but the thing is, that sort of thing really takes me out of the story because I go, "He'd never say that!". There are other things too, like missing footnotes and whatnot. It's just - knowing how much effort goes into free fan scanlations it pisses me off to pay for something lacklustre like that. The only reason I am still buying this because I already started buying the series in German and I don't really care enough about it to import the whole series from Japan. Still. Grrr. It certainly isn't the best series in the world, and it's not some kind of masterpiece, but I feel that sort of release is an insult to paying customers.

My favorite part so far, cause Onodera finally confessed (to himself at least) that he's in love. Now just to tell that to Takano and I'll be ecstatic :) I loved that confession in the rain, that was so freaking cute: And, of course the continuation of that at home <3 There were some hilarious scenes where I've even laughed out loud to myself :) And the end, with the business trip, was hilarious :) "One room with single double sized bed" Can't wait to read more! This volume focused entirely on Ritsu and Takano! And thus, to be expected, we got lots of juicy backstory as well as a lot of character and relationship developments. Their story is finally moving along faster, but, it's been moving at the pace of love this whole time, it's perfect. I can really see now too what a character is thinking just by looking at the art and seeing the other's reaction to it. I can see the hurt, the surprise, the love, the anticipation, the woog-woog-woog, hehe. I love This volume focused entirely on Ritsu and Takano! I can really see now too what a character is thinking just by looking at the art and seeing the other's reaction to it. I can see the hurt, the surprise, the love, the anticipation, the woog-woog-woog, hehe. I love these two so very much. They've become so real to me, and I couldn't replace their story for anything. The way in which this is all written too is so very unique that it makes it hard for me to switch from reading this comic to a different one by a different author and back and forth like that. Oh, and when Yokozawa asked Ritsu if he loved Takano and with only enough hesitation to work up the courage to say it as earnestly as he could-- that was the strongest thing I've ever seen Ritsu do. For a traditional and polite Japanese man to admit his feelings of love for another man (almost ten years ago, no less, when homosexuality was still highly frowned upon there), and his boss--no less... That took so much bravery and courage and strength. And if it didn't, then that just means his feelings of love for Takano caused him to forget all of these things that have been shown to be ingrained into Ritsu. That one little exchange meant so very much, as did many, many other things this volume and the last-- but... That? That somehow was more monumental than the rain scene right before that, or perhaps just as much so. Speaking of the rain scene, Takano's love confession that the past doesn't matter anymore and the person he loves is the one standing before him now? God... I love that, and I love that it's mutual too. Neither one of them is hung up on feelings from the past, they love each other for who they are now. Honestly, maybe their situations are good. If they had been dating all that time, they likely wouldn't have lasted. Actually, they really wouldn't have. But being separated for that long and having to grow up separately like that only to meet each other again and fall in love again at ages where they've gone through basically all of their unavoidable hardships and grown up as much as they can-- this is a time in their lives where they truly could fall in love and never separate again. True, because of that and other factors, they know next to nothing about each other. But like silly junior high kids, they're both wanting and trying to change that, a bit at a time. And as evident by Ritsu's monologue and Takano's bodily reaction, learning even the tiniest things about each other excites them to no end. (It's funny too that Ritsu asked about Takano's shoe size...when Takano thought to ask that about Ritsu 10+ years ago. I wonder if he acted surprised by that question because he remembered?) Speaking of little Takano-- young Takano in love is depicted in so much more detail in the manga than in the anime and my goodness, he's the cutest thing ever. He tries so hard to play it cool and he succeeds but on the inside he's such a derp. And his blushes are so cute too, and it seems Ritsu always made his heart race back then, and apparently he still does now anytime they're together. And when they're together-together, it seems his heart and mind goes crazy and into a muddled mess just like Ritsu's. He's so innocent, naive, and cute for someone who is able to put on such a cool exterior. I love them so much, and I'm glad they're hurting each other so much less than in the beginning. I feel like at this point, there won't be much hurt left except circumstantial. Ritsu's already fully admitted his love for Takano twice-- once to his face though the rain drowned out the sound so poor Takano didn't get to hear it. But I think he was able to figure it out for the most part, even so, it's still nice to have it confirmed and heard. He really fell in love too with little Ritsu, probably because he was the first person to love him so earnestly and unconditionally. Ritsu was his first love, even if he wasn't the first person he dated. Seems the only person he was able to truly fall in love with again too was Ritsu. Hey, funny thing too-- he admitted that at the beginning when they met again, he wasn't in love with Ritsu yet. But he did have a crush on him. Yet, as they worked together and as he watched Ritsu for a while, he found himself falling in love with him for the person he had become. I think that means in the first volume when he kissed Ritsu on the couch and when he did other things to him... he must really have been harassment. He probably didn't fall in love with Ritsu until about the end of the first volume or so. Maybe somewhere in the second volume. But he really did fall in love with him all over again...it certainly doesn't help that Ritsu only legitimately rejected him barely half the time. And Yokozawa saw this happening too-- he saw Takano falling in love unnecessarily with a man who kept pushing him away even as he drew him in. But it's all okay now, because they've both fallen in love with each other and both can admit it. It's just going to take Ritsu a bit longer to admit it to Takano's face again, but I feel like he will soon. Perhaps in the next volume or two? I really hope so.

Best volume so far in my opinion. I really liked seeing Takano's POV. I'm still curious as to what happened that seems to have completely wiped Onodera's memory. I know you can forget after something tramatic happens...but would a break up be that bad? Guess I'll have to keep reading! Best volume so far in my opinion. I really liked seeing Takano's POV. Warning: This review contains spoilers In this volume Takano finally sets Yokozawa straight about where their relationship stands and what the possibilities are for it in the future. He FINALLY tells him that he loves Onodera and to lay off him or their friendship ends. Takano has proven his love for him on numerous occasions and has done everything he can to help him be the best editor he can be. What exactly is his problem? This is what Yokozawa was talking about. Like seriously, do you want him or not? If you keep treating him this way and he gets tired of it and seeks affection from someone else what are you gonna say then? I'm just confused by the whole thing. Aside from that, we get a flashback of their relationship from high school as seen through Takano's eyes. Onodera was so freaking cute and sweet and innocent...nothing like he is now. We get to witness the moment that Takano falls for him and how unexpected that feeling was for him. He probably didn't think he could fall in love, let alone fall for the rich coddled kid who was stalking him for three years. It was in incredibly sweet story. I'm addicted to this series. I love it and I hope that we get to see them in a relationship in which they both (ahem, Onodera!) fully accepts each other and wants to move forward AS A COUPLE. I'm tired of watching Onodera throw tantrums and act like a grumpy adolescent all the time.

I love this series so much! I don't remember reading these chapters years ago, I don't know if I am going to keep this as second read or not. After waiting almost five years, I am finally able to see what happens next after the anime season 2 finale. I was hoping for more seasons but so far nothing. After Yokozawa confessed and Takana turned him down, informing him that he is in love with the Onodera present not the one in the past, I would expect that things would change from there but no. Onodera is still not telling Takana that he loves him (well he did but the rain drowned it out! Damn rain!) With a business trip, the two travel together for Onodera to meet the new creator he will be working with who is currently working with Takana. He does feel a bit of jealous towards how the guy is acting. It was nice to get a few chapters from Takana's past and see how he was feeling. It came across as just something he was going to break Onodera just because he was in a lousy mood, he even took his frustration out on him, but the younger came back with this umbrella for him. He questions why the younger loves him when he knows nothing about him, but it fells like Onodera sees something that he didn't see. Also, it was funny that Onodera never wrote his real name when he filled out the library card check out so Takana never knew his real name.

Vol 6 5/5 stars This one did not have Kisa in it, but even though I missed him, I barley noticed because instead we got a chapter in Takano's point of view!!! Besides Death Note, it is now my favorite manga of all time.

Ahhh did I say that this series is incredibly cute? Because it is. The sweetness will be the death of me. This volume focuses only on the relationship between Ritsu and Masamune. After the misunderstanding that happens in volume 5, volume 6 starts off from that point. It was enjoyable to see Ritsu flail around, whilst Masamune having faith in Ritsu's (as of yet confessed) love. The latter part of the book did feel like the plot was starting to dwindle though.

Onodera, after accidentally saying he HATES Takano to Yokozowa in an argument (which Takano of course overheard), agonizes over how to approach Takano again. Takano meanwhile finally sits his friend Yokozowa down for a legit conversation- one that has been a long time coming. It is time for Yokozowa to give up on the idea of a romantic relationship with his best friend, and it's time for Takano to be fundamentally clear with him on that. This conversation was depicted very realistically to me- Takano was firm but kind, Yokozowa got understandably pissed at why Takano would pick the guy who hurt him over the one who helped him out of his depression. At the end they remain friends but Yokozowa needs some time to heal. (Side note: I love that the author made the choice to continue Yokozowa's story later. Most characters like him are only used as plot devices but she let this one be full-bodied and allowed readers to love him as much as the relationship they want to see work.) Takano then goes after Onodera, who has run on home to avoid a confrontation. They meet under an awning in the rain and talk. Takano clarifies that he loves Onodera now, that the past is the past. And Onodera makes a confession... though it's drowned out in the rain. Onodera is not quite ready to commit but this is the first time he's been so forthright about his feelings, even with himself. Onodera/Takano (Past)- I also love this scene. Much of what has transpired up to now puts Takano squarely in the victim seat and Onodera in the "jerk who ran away" seat. We know there was a misunderstood laugh, but that's all. In this scene, where we see the beginning of their high school relationship from Takano's eyes, we get a much deeper perspective. Takano was originally out to break Onodera down- to make him feel as lousy about life as he did during that period. Yet Onodera managed to burrow in under his skin, to make him laugh and smile again, and it's for *this* that Takano loved/loves him. Onodera wasn't just some kid with a crush- he cared about Takano in such a selfless way, in a way that Takano didn't understand love could be. Plus his relationship with the cat is priceless. Onodera/Takano (Back to the Present)- This one is pretty simple. They go on a business trip where they are mistakenly booked with only a single room. While Onodera initially protests, they end up having quite a romantic time watching Fireworks, having non-work related conversations, learning a bit more about each other. A sweet and simple ending... though of course Takano has to be a bit of an ass back at work.

**1st read** Quiero llorar.

This is a review for both books 5 and 6. I thought volume 5 was really good, but sometimes, I just don't know about Onodera. His way of thinking is so juvenile I just want to smack him. The progression up until he said he hated Takano was good and I love Yokozawa and am excited to start his story for sure. The lead into book 6 was soooo awesome! Seeing things from Takano's perspective was an amazing and welcome change of pace. The business trip was fun to read as well and I just love the scene i This is a review for both books 5 and 6. Ugh, this series is so a favorite. On to the next.

Damnit. I love this Yaoi Manga. Takano is... is... hot. And as well as all the people in Emerald Editing. They are all working in a publishing house, and Ritsu was the newbie in that department since he change companies. Btw, their department specializes in Editing Shoujo Manga. :) And all the guys in there are Bishounen. Dammit. This book really good. Love it! :)
