The aliens need to reproduce so they can take over earth so send women "caviar" (eggs, clever, yes?) which they eat and become pregnant and give birth every thirty days. Here's the lesson girls, the one the don't teach in jr. high sex-ed - if a guy wants you to swallow his ejaculate you can become pregnant! (That's a phrase i never thought i'd write in a book review). But there is a good guy alien (he has a hologram girlfriend he created, even better than a playboy centerfold or a youtube video) that attends the local high school and has the hots for the home schooled 16 year old that didn't eat the caviar because of how Russians harvest the eggs. Together the two of them and hologram girl friend and a couple other people that might be aliens or holograms or whatever save the planet (or do they..? see the next volume). He does a mind wipe on the town and home-schooler, so goes young love, and everything goes back to normal. But what about the hundreds of pregnant women including school teachers, many of who have already given birth and are pregnant again? SPOILER - they were just plot devices, female ones at that, so they don't matter. (This reminds me of Carol Danver's aka Ms. Marvel's, rape in the Avengers comic thirty years ago, one issue just moved the story an inch and who cares, she was only a female character.) Since this will be picked up in a jr. high or high school library what lessons can you learn? Women get over rape quickly, and if you're really clever they won't be smart enough to know. Women can pop a kid out and be over it in a day. Your teacher is lying to you about how you can get pregnant, remember you read it in a comic book! i hope the original book was better, i've never read patterson and don't plan to now.

I hated that he erased Judy's memory. I know it's for the best..but I liked them together just how I liked him with Phoebe (I hope I'm not mistaken with the name) in the first volume. I really enjoy reading these Mama versions after reading the novels... they help me visualize (and sometimes understand!) things I missed in the novels. The occasional changes from the novel to the GN are usually a little jarring though.

The Daniel X books really don't have the most fleshed out characters, but the action with Daniel's super overpowered abilities just make this always a blast. And now in manga form? Like, honestly this is amazing. Not much to say here besides that it's the same as book 2 in the Daniel X series. With help from his dad, he was able to struck down number 21 quickly but number 5 isn't easier than he thought. With his knowledge of the alien's electrical power, he used his parent's necklace made out of silver to defeat number 5 and stop his evil plot from happening. I chose this book because this book is the second book of the Daniel X's series in manga version. The book is liked the hard copy but with pictures and the story is faster. I read this book because it was interested on how Daniel X's life changed after the murder of his parents and sister. This book had lots of science fictions with the fact of Daniel being the Earth's only alien hunter. I would recommend this book to those who would want to read James Patterson's Daniel X's series in a manga version. I would recommend this book to Jerry after he read vol.1 and see how good the book is.

This book was pretty good. A great sequel to the first one. I love the graphics in this book (I love all of the graphics by the illustrator or the James Patterson graphic novels) and when I was looking up the real book compared to this book, it seemed like everything was pretty much the same other than the title. Although, my opinion isn't valid for I have not read the novel by James Patterson yet. When I read books that have a "villain" in them, I always love it when the author gives them an original personality instead of the stereotypical bad-guy. For example, in this book I loved how James Patterson decided to make the alien someone who films their victims for a show, then kills them once he's done. I found this an interesting way for an evil character to pose a threat to society, but, like I said earlier, I love it when the villain is original and unique.

Daniel X volume 2 is a very interesting manga that is set on another world in our universe. The manga sets upon Daniel's alien hunting journey and ventures deeper into the tragical history of Daniel. In volume 2, the book brings me deeper into Daniel's world, as the ranking of the aliens became higher and higher, Daniel must face himself with the extreme situations that puts himself in grave danger. Maybe a bit weaker than the first one. I quite like the villain and its enderteinment in this volume but the story with Daniel doesn't progress as I expected. I still don't understand how the whole making-up friends works for Daniel, but yeah his friends and family are always there with him. Too bad that he has to (view spoiler)[wipe Judy's memory out (hide spoiler)] : in the end he spends more time with figments of his imagination than with real people. I really enjoyed this book. Although I didn't like it as much as the first. I'm excited to pick up the last one of the Daniel X series though. I'm hoping it'll be a little better than the second. What surprised me about the second book is that although it carried on the plot of Daniel X hunting aliens, it struck me as a little weird. It wasn't as funny either, which surprised me. When I finished the book I found more of Patterson's books(in manga version) that I'd like to check out. I recommend t I really enjoyed this book. Although I didn't like it as much as the first. In this sequel, I can say I enjoyed the premise of the story along with its art. But I would rate it more as 3.5-3.6 stars because unless you read recently the first one you would find this one much more fast-paced with knowledge coming from the prior book. I would advise people to definitely read the first before checking in on the second or the idea that Daniel can conjure up people and objects may go over your head at first. Even I had a few questions at the end that need answering.

This book changed the way I look at things. For starters: I can never look at caviar again. :( Also, I will never eat Catfish. EVER. The manga adaption was good, and very fast paced. I would give the book 4.3 stars out of 5. I have gotta hand it to James Patterson for those plot twist though some of them were wrong and disgusting. However, I still recommend this book. It is really good! Ciao!

Daniel chases and kills number 5 here but in manga. The whole adventure is drawn. Almost nothing is changed like it was on the book.
